2.  Baby dunked in boiling water

This is surely the most inhumane ritual ever. This is majorly performed in the Baijalpur District of Karnataka. They dunk three-month-old baby in hot boiling water however they life the baby immediately but it causes severe burns on the body of a little child. It is believed that by performing the ritual the thank the deities to bless them with a kid. This tradition really sounds very stupid, how can you impress God by harming your own child?

3.  Knowing the gender

In Khukra village of Jharkhand, there is a unique tradition of identifying the gender of a child born in mother’s womb, which has been practiced for the last 400 years. From the shape of the moon on the mountain, they find out the gender of the fetus!

There is a mountain in the village on which the shape of a moon is called “Chand mountain”. Pregnant women of the village throw a stone from a certain distance on the shape of the moon. If the stone lying in the hands of the pregnant woman is within the moon, means a boy will be born and if it gets out of the moon it means it’s a girl. The villagers here have incredible faith in this tradition.

4.  Death of Kinnars (transgenders)

Life of transgender is already tough and it doesn’t get easy even after the death. No matter at what time a transgender dies but they are not allowed do the funeral at daytime. It is again an inhumane practice that takes place in India. Transgender have been fighting for their rights since long. And the weirdest thing that the transgender themselves beats the dead body and remain starved for seven days.

Indian labourers – Everybody knows that thousands of Indian labourers go to Gulf countries in search of employment every year.

In these Gulf countries, the labourers have to remain in very pity conditions, and there they work for 12 to 16 hours a day. The worst thing is that the authorities in gulf countries take their passports are also so that they cannot come back to their own country. Because they work for long hours without any nutritious diet or any special add they fell sick very often.

They do not have proper resident there, the labours in gulf countries are compelled to live in unhealthy conditions. They do not have enough money to take personal homes so they 4-5 labours contribute together and love in one big room, where there is no electricity and no water. Everyone knows about all these conditions, but nothing has been done for the welfare of those labours. The figures of the last six years say that on an average 10 Indian labourers have been dying every day in Gulf countries. This information has been received under the Right to Information Act. According to information received under the Right to Information, a voluntary group said that on average, 10 Indian labours dies every day in Gulf countries.

A Great Amount Of Money Comes To India From Gulf Countries

The largest amount of money coming from foreign countries every year is from the Gulf countries. The contribution of Indians working in Gulf countries is more than half of the amount received from the world in between 2012-2017. In reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha on 26th August 2018, the Foreign Ministry had said that the number of Indians working in six Gulf countries in the year 2017 was approximately 22.53 lakh.

Venkatesh Nayak of the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative had sought details from the Foreign Ministry about the death of Indian labourers from Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates from January 1, 2012, to mid-2018.

They told that Indian embassies located in Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia provided details, but the embassy located in the UAE denied to do so. The Indian Embassy in Kuwait referred to the details available on its website, but it was from 2014.

Nayak said India received 410.33 billion dollars from the world. The amount received from the Gulf countries was $209.07 billion. He said that in order to bridge the gap in the details related to death, he used the details given in response to questions in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Nayak said the available information indicates that at least 24,570 Indians died in six Gulf countries between 2012 and mid-2018. If all the data of Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates was available then there would be more deaths. According to available data, more than 10 Indian workers die every day in this period.

At present, there are no improvements in their conditions. But it is to see when and what steps will be taken by the government to control this death rate of Indian labours in Gulf countries.

From this, I had to overpay 75 US dollars i.e. around 5500 rupees.

Experts examining this matter say that to avoid this problem with the Google News app, you either delete this app or disable the background data of your Android phone. Because there is some technical error with this application and there has been no potential step taken by the end of Google.

The research done by the UK Center for Polar Observations and Modeling, University of Leeds has shown that the effect of climate change on Antarctica has been more than anticipated data and the level of the sea could possibly raise more than the global estimate.

According to this research, there is a lot of change under the surface of the Earth. Professor Andrew Shepherd, a professor of this research study says, ‘The basalt is melting in Antarctica. We cannot see it, because it is under the surface of the sea. The study included around 16,000 km of coastline.’

Based on the Archimedes’ theory, the data obtained from the European Space Agency’s Croyet-2 has stated that if the ice continues to melt with this rate then there is a strong possibility of major changes in sea levels.

Green Crackers – We all remember that how we used to burn crackers on the streets even before a week of Diwali.

It is indeed one of the best childhood memory for many of you but you know this time you won’t be seeing any such things or won’t hear the sound of fireworks that once used to grace up your Diwali night.

Yes, in order to control the air and noise pollution a long debate is going on in the Supreme Court of India, a series of questions and answers regarding the firecrackers have started to stop the toxic fumes and wildly noise in the air. This time, Supreme Court has ordered that you can burn only green crackers that too only for two hours. At the same time, the Supreme Court has issued guidelines for manufacturing and selling of firecrackers across the country to prevent pollution.

The court has allowed only to sell green firecrackers and allowed them to burn from 8 am to 10 pm. At the same time, the court has stopped e-commerce websites from selling fireworks on Tuesday. A bench of justice AK Sikar and Justice Ashok Bhushan said that only licensee will be able to sell firecrackers. The bench has ordered that the firecrackers with more than 60 decibels are banned.

So let us now tell you what is green crackers?

Actually, the scientists of CSIR have made a formula that can be kept in the range of green fireworks. The emissions of these green firecrackers are low and these firecrackers also have the ability to absorb dust. These firecrackers look like regular firecrackers but produce very less pollution. Compared to ordinary firecrackers, burning green firecrackers produces 40 to 50 % less harmful gas.

Difference Between The Traditional Crackers And Green Firecrackers

• Green firecrackers will produce water particles after burning, due to which particles like sulfur and nitrogen will dissolve in it. Because CSIR scientists believe that water is the best way to reduce pollution.
• CSIR has named these firecrackers as ‘Starcrackers’. Because these firecrackers use oxidizing agents. Because of which, these green crackers produce small amounts of nitrogen and sulfur after it breaks.
• In green firecrackers, 50% less aluminium is used than local firecrackers. The institute named it Sethimminal aluminium i.e. SAFAL.
• You can also call these green firecrackers as AromaCrackers because they release a better smell instead of the harmful gases.

Green Crackers: Not available in the markets

At present, the formula associated with green fireworks has been successfully tested in Shivkashi, Tamil Nadu. Shiva Kashi is a centre for making green firecrackers. But it may take time to get green crackers circulated among the national market of India. CSIR scientists say that the institution’s research has been completed. Now the formula is in government agency’s hands. Unless the Petroleum and Explosive Protection Institute (PESO) approves it, you can’t buy green crackers.

Let us tell you that the green crackers that the Supreme Court is talking about has been discovered in India so far no country in the world has used these firecrackers yet.
