And even after the double dozen times, we watch Chupke Chupke who can get enough of Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s masterpiece.  Some special moments that make it worth it.

“Woh mere naam mein S hai na…….V A S” :

While Sharmila Tagore (Sulekha) is busy plotting against her Jijaji, Jaya Bhaduri (Vasudha) has to instead make a fool of her sister(Lata), once she knows the complete drama. The scene is a class act from Jaya who is known for more serious roles. Interestingly, this is Jaya’s most hilarious dialogue on the film, while her sister is fuming over Jaya’s S (ass) act.

“Hum tapankhi hai”:

As he senses that Genius Jijaji (Om Prakash) has fallen for his antics as Pyaaremohan, Dharendra ups the ante with his tapankhi (cockeyed)act. Om Prakash’s efforts to have Pyaare look him in the eye are just so hilarious, especially with Dharmendra’s over the top expressions.

“Do Biwi Baraah Bachche”:

In an attempt to cook up a brilliant story as the guest house chokidaar, Professor Tripathi weaves in such minute details to his life story, as two wives and twelve children. The entire conversation between Sharmila and Dharmendra in the film is a hit show.

“Shrimaan taklaji sahib”:

The scene that introduces Genius Jijaji, makes you really want to know what is this chap like. Dharmendra’s subtle hints on being jealous from his would be brother in law and the funny details of the man in question- he was a barrister, now owns a soap factory, could have been a minister, has a very young daughter and also a daughter old enough to be married- set the tone for the film.

“ Saheb…..Woh Pthisis ka kya hua”:

you are surely smiling reading this. Dharmedra doesn’t leave the chance to prove Sharmila his act as a Hindi-obsessed-driver is going on great, as she arrives at her brother-in-law’s place, he throws the pthisis bomb. He gets an equally brilliant reaction from Omprakash, you do remember the mumbling he does in the scene. We all have tried to figure out the swearing, haven’t we?

Whenever I get a long email from an employee or a co-worker, I ask myself if things could have been expressed more concisely. It’s great to see that he or she cares enough to have spent the time composing it, but is all the information absolutely essential? Could a few more sentences have been eliminated? Time is often a boss’s most valuable commodity. Rather than sending long emails, save more substantial communication for a phone call or meeting, and practice writing shorter than short emails.

While Apple is revered for the iPhone and MacBook, less remembered are the products that fell totally flat, like the Apple Lisa, the Apple III and the Power Mac G4 cube. A good boss knows that failure and innovation are two sides of the same coin.

Fail At Something

It’s important to keep in mind that while following these suggestions might impress some bosses, not all bosses are made from the same mould. Therefore, these tricks should be applied judiciously; especially if you work in a more conservative or regulated industry.

Having said that, great bosses know that empowered, not fearful, employees are a key to success. Exercise #1: One Minute Breathing Exercise To Start It Up 

To make your workout routine more productive and unique, practice Yoga-based breathing exercises. Breathing techniques reduce stress levels and calm your heart rate. Sitkari Pranayama, as outlined in Patanjali‘s Yoga Sutra, is an excellent breathing technique that improves focus, lessens anxiety, and cools excess heat in the nervous system.

Technique To Do it

Sit on the floor or in a chair and slightly raise your chin. Open your mouth a little, then move your tongue behind the teeth. Next, inhale gradually through the opening between the upper and lower teeth. You should feel the cool air wash over your tongue. Gently, close your mouth and exhale through the nose as you slowly lower your chin back to its normal position. Repeat for one-to-two minutes. And Voila! You will feel instantly revitalised!

Sitkari Pranayama

Exercise #2: Forward Bend 

The forward bend or crane exercise stretches your hamstrings, shoulders, and chest muscles. It enhances the flexibility in your body, making the daily movements easier. It also helps to cut down on the abdominal and side waist fat, if you keep on to it regularly.

Technique To Do It 

Simply interlock your fingers behind your back, then slowly lower your forehead to your knees into a forward bend. Maintain a slight bend as you rise back up, unlock your fingers, and slowly raise your arms toward the ceiling then bring your arms down to your sides. Repeat it 10-15 times in one go. You can make 3-4 sets of 10-15 reps each.

Forward Bend

Exercise #3: Side Planks 

Side Planks strengthen and stretch the shoulder muscles and the oblique muscles on the side of the upper body. It helps to ease off the stiff back for those in constant sitting jobs and very less movement during the day. Doing it regularly will bring an amazing agility in the body.

Technique To Do It

Starting on either your right side or left side, lie on your side and place your hand on the floor. For balance, stack the feet as you lift your body off the floor. Inhale as you extend your free arm toward the ceiling, keeping your abdominals tight. Hold this pose for 8- 10 seconds, then lower your arm. Repeat 10 times on each side.

Side Planks

Exercise #4: Reverse Lunges

Compared to a basic lunge, reverse lunges place less stress on the knees while still toning your legs. It Enhances your body balance and works directly on lower limbs, strengthening them for all the other strenuous activities throughout the day and the weekends.

Technique To Do It 

Stand tall with your arms at your sides, and take a step backward with your left foot. Slightly, bend your hips, then lower your left knee to the floor without fully touching the floor and lifting your left heel. Slightly “lunge” forward, then return to standing. Alternate legs for 10 to 20 total reps.

Reverse Lunges

Many times, it can be difficult to find new, simple exercises that don’t require a machine. However, by incorporating these easy exercises and others, you can stay fit and relaxed without a gym membership, given the hectic work schedules.

The previous day when I took it out after a long time to write about what I had missed, I felt elated when I read about things I had thought of back then. The memory of thinking about what my achievements would be five years from then, made me nostalgic. Hardly had I thought then, that I would land up where I am today.

How to be successful in city called Mumbai, especially if you are in a crazy workaholic 24X7 running city called Mumbai!

Mumbai is a true cosmopolitan city and even though it is the capital of a Marathi speaking population, the city itself is full of immigrants from all walks, cultures and religions of India. Everyone is here to earn their living, make their dreams come true and have a fatter bank balance than the entire mass of earth!

Is it easy?

The immediate reply to that is: No, it is not!

However, there are ways to make it happen. Like you, everyone is struggling, working round the clock and doing whatever is possible in the given means. But what most overlook or use subconsciously without thinking about much is their ass! You walk inside a local train which is packed and you see three people sitting on a seat, which is actually reserved for three people only. But if you have entrepreneur skills, you will ask the people to shift and on the remaining vacant sit, you will sit with half your space! Yes, the other remaining half stays in air, but at least it is better than standing throughout your journey. Since you got some space, soon you will shift and wiggle and push and with the first opportunity, you will grab an entire seat for yourself! Simple, right?

Try this scenario in an auto-rickshaw which has space for three people to sit packed! You’re the fourth person and you need to adjust, just sit in the corner, again with half space in the air telling people of your super-human skills and cover the long distance! Obviously, you will be pushing and wiggling and doing the entire routine to grab an entire seat and will travel in comfort!

You know, this might seem pretty ordinary or way too small to be considered as a path to success!

But think like this: everyone is fighting the battle that you are fighting, then why do they need to give you space? Love affair – It was 1 o’clock in the night in the winters of Delhi.

Winters in Delhi particularly get harsh with temperature falling below 5 degrees. After a long walk round the park, boy and girl- who were supposedly a couple- took the seat on a white bench beside the street lamp.

“I have to tell you something”, the boy said to his girlfriend.

“What?” Girl said.

“We have been friends for 6 months now” Boy said, looking down.

“I know” Girl said with a smile while holding his hand and expecting a proposal.

“It’s all a lie. I like someone else!” Boy said, looking at the grass.

“Wait, what??” Girl said, looking at him. She was startled!

“I love someone else and we are planning to get married in some months now!” Boy said and felt her hand slipping from his.  “You’re lying right?” she asked while her face turned bloodless!

“I’m sorry, I use to like you but I changed my mind in between and now I like someone else. Now you mean nothing to me”, the boy said, feeling relieved that he was finally telling the truth.

The girl shouted “How could you do this to me??”  In the reply boy said “I never gave my commitment. We were just friends, right?”

“You don’t love me? You never did??” Girl said in a low voice. “No!!” boy said while she was all quiet.

“I’m really sorry!” Boy said while looking at the girl, who was by now crying, when his phone rang.

“I have to get this.” Boy said and left the park.

The girl was sitting on the bench all alone wondering if time could be turned someway.

As time walked by swiftly, the boy forgot all about her Love affair and that little friendship or a fling so to say! He got fully involved with the girl whom he loved and cared for, and who of course was prettier looking and came from a rich family!

Love affair – they decided to marry. On the day of his wedding, he received a letter. He opened it up and almost fell from his chair.

“Congratulations, you’re getting married to the girl of your dreams. I hope you cherish the girl you’re going to marry and spend the rest of your life with. I hope she gives you everything you wanted and more. I hope she’s by your side and takes care of you. I hope she gives you the life you wanted but there’s one thing I hope she doesn’t. I hope she doesn’t love you as much as I did. I wanted to tell you that I’m sorry you had to waste 6 months of your life with me. But for me those 6 months were the best in my life. I’m sorry you had to kiss me, but those kisses were the best I ever had. I’m sorry you had to see my face when we met, but your face was always on my mind day and night. And I’m sorry that you had to pretend to love me, but I loved you in reality for I couldn’t fake love. I will always love you forever and always. You might not see me ever, I will be gone, forever!”

He ran out of the reception hall and drove to the girl’s house. The Girl’s mother opened the door, but was about to close it after seeing that boy.

“Where is she?” Boy asked

“Cemetery, Plot 182, and take this” the mother said while handing him a letter and he rushed to the cemetery. He tripped and fell near a headstone saying.

“Here lies the person who was loved by everyone except for the one she loved”

He looked at the date and realised it was the day he told her the entire truth, exactly a year back. He was about to touch the headstone when he remembered he had a letter in his hands. He opened it.

“Thank you for the best 6 months of my life.” It said!

Stop jumping to a conclusion!

No, he is not a miser, he has the utmost respect for women, and he simply helps others via this… how? He donates the money he saves from such dates and donates them to various NGOs across India which his friends suggest him. And… he does this every month! The money he donates helps underprivileged children to complete their education and lead a better life. He also visits various old age homes, orphanages and animal shelters and buys every occupant a meal. J

Not only does he sponsor the meals for all the residents of the NGOs he visits, he also relishes the cooked meals with them.

Why This Quest?

He claims he was getting too comfortable being single and he decided to use his ‘singularity’ for a good deed. Now, not only does he meet beautiful women, he also dates women the age of his mother!

Till now, he has dated numerous celebs from Chennai including a garbage collector and DMK Chief MK Stalin’s wife, Durgavathi.

For him, it’s not at all about sex or hitting a relationship with them, it’s all about sharing a meal with new people and helping poor children later on in the process. J

Being a photographer, he chooses not to carry his swanky DSLR with him on any date, he considers it a distraction and a buzzkill to meaningful conversations.

Sunder Ramu Future Plans

He plans to chronicle his entire quest into a neatly compiled book later on, sale proceeds of which will be donated to NGOs all over the country.

“I want to sponsor a healthy meal for different homeless people every day from next year”, he suggests.

We hope he completes this quest soon and successfully! After all, a good deed should never go unnoticed!
