Logitech India have launched the PowerShell Controller + Battery in the country today at Rs 8,995.

The Apple approved accessory provides console-style gaming controls and extends battery life of the iPhone 5, iPhone 5S and the iPod Touch.

To use the accessory all you have to do is to insert a compatible iPhone or iPod Touch device running iOS 7 into the controller and you can enjoy a gaming experience similar to that of a portable gaming console – complete with an analog D-pad, shoulder triggers and face buttons for controlling game play. With the controls being taken off the smartphone, the entire screen of the phone becomes the viewing arena, giving a more immersive mobile gaming experience.

Coming to the battery pack, the controller is able to increase the battery capacity of an iOS 7 device, thanks to the in-built, 1,500mAh unit. When the battery in the controller is running low, one can easily recharge it via a micro-USB cable that is provided in the box, to top up both the device and the PowerShell.

Once your iOS 7 device has been decked in a layer of PowerShell, you would still be able to make and receive calls, operate the volume buttons, the ring/silent switch and the power/sleep button. The accessory also features a 3.5mm headphone adapter with an angled design so that ear phone cords do not get in your way, while playing.

It’s not every day that Apple launches two phones with stunning features and in exciting colours. But on September 10, 2013, history was made (of sorts) as two new models iPhone- 5s, a premium version and 5C, a slightly cheaper version, were launched at a gala event at the Apple headquarters. Launched in a plethora of colours like green, blue, yellow, pink and white, iPhone 5c features an A6 chip, ultra-fast wireless service and an 8MP iSight camera running on the iOS 7 platform. 8. You can customize your notification rings for different chats:

Click on the chat you want to customize the ringtone for, now tap on the name and enable the ‘custom notification’ option, you will be able to choose a ringtone now of your choice for the contact.

9. You can see someone’s ‘last seen’ while hiding yours:

All this while it was limping along but the Windows Phone market is considerably dead now and this is an open secret.

It all happened in last July when the company has publicly admitted that they lost the market to the other state-of-the-art counterparts. While meeting the queries of users, Belfiore replied that Microsoft will keep on bringing bug fixes and security updates to Windows Phone but there are no chances of introducing new features anytime soon.

• The users cross questioned Belfiore about why the Windows platform lacks the prominent third party developer base of both Android and OS, Belfiore came a clean breast about how the company left no stone unturned from paying to the developers money to build apps for Windows phones, to writing the code for them. However, the fundamental reason of the major knockdown is on one wanted to invest citing a declining life expectancy of Windows Phone market.

• This pretty sums up why the phone is dead. Nokia Lumia line was a great range of devices but not as high-end. It was still pocket friendly and enjoyed a good userase. To tell you, Windows phone itself was a great OS which has great interoperability with your PC, an eloquent UI which went soft on the eyes too.
