Such a disaster is undesired but at the same time unexpected that has hampered humans and mankind. Considering the disaster was rare it was within the widened lap of the Indian Ocean. Earthquakes have been risky to lives and for nature at the same time. Destroying nature as land soils, water, and agriculture, specifically when there is the eruption of volcanoes. Indian ocean earthquake has been the worst story that has not only destroyed land, and coasts but also millions of lives. It is the worst natural calamity that occurred in 2004. Tsunamis and earthquakes both occurred together.

An earthquake that resulted in Tsunami

The earthquake below the sea level had shattered not only the floor but also lifted the flow of water intensely. The serial lifting of the seawater led to the formation of a Tsunami. The magnitude of the earthquake was 9, it was so severe that it had destroyed 14 countries at one time. The epicenter of the earthquake was on the western coast of the northern part of Sumatra Indonesia. Just 20 minutes after the earthquake in the Indian Ocean it had swiped off the coastline of Banda Aceh. It was less than half an hour that this incident had killed more than a lacs of people. Any of this kind of natural disaster is not observed in history.

The strong movements of seawater had moved towards the coastline. Forming high tides and waves that had circulated to the nearby coastline and the countries. Countries near the Indian Ocean such as Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and India had experienced the worst with the death of about 200000 people. Earthquakes and tsunamis together had terrified the countries with disaster, the power that nature itself possesses.

Communities of 18 countries are Homeless due to the Indian Ocean Disaster

Recovering from the disaster took more than 5 years. Communities and families were homeless followed by floods. Families including elderly people and kids who have to survive in water specifically in the communities bordered surrounding the Indian Ocean. Damages were also seen in the cities with broken roads and interrupted communication.

Another miserable fact that history could barely forget is the death of the children. Nature was rude and had snatched away about one-third of the children population. It was observed that children below the age of seven were hardly able to survive.

Women and families had to suffer losses with the death of their children. Some had lost one wife few had lost more than one of their children. The communities had undergone the worst mental health due to the loss and damages. The earthquake of 2004 in the Indian ocean had almost been a natural disaster that had fatigued human life.

Disaster has been many in history but destroying the countries. Hampering the population, and hitting the social lives was seen to be reforming with marriages after five years. The Indian Ocean earthquake had been a massive calamity that not only killed people but had broken the community’s morale in just half an hour.

It can be e a porridge or just a cup of tea without sugar there is a lack of taste. But when sugar was invented it was first mistakenly used as Spice. No one was aware of the test that was hidden within the sugary element. Spice not sweetener? But a spice it was hard to believe to use in any kind of dish. When we think about Spice we always try to find out the burning sensation in our tongue. Whenever we eat spice there is an expectation of flavor as well as the burns due to spiciness.

In India, there are different kinds of spices ranging from Chillies to cinnamon. But assuming sugar as spices is something unbelievable in this modern Times.

How was sugar discovered?

While looking back into the Western histories it has mentioned the necessity of sugar and its influence on the creation of medicine and the curing of diseases. Pisces are always believed to be a good element for treating different kinds of diseases. Hereby sugar was also discovered as a spice to treat diseases and oppression at the same time. There was a time when sugar was highly expensive. It was in the medieval that it was considered one of the best and most fine discovered spices around the year 1500. For trading Of Spices apart from cardamom, Ginger pepper, nutmeg nearby sugar was also traded in different parts of the world as a Spice.

The sweetness of sugar at that time, while it was in 1500, that it was not so so sweet. Therefore it was another reason that it was treated as Spice not sweetener. But you to its various benefits during the time of diseases it was prescribed as medicine. This is another reason that increases the rate of the price of sugar. As one of the rarest spices in America and Europe, its demand also was observed during the slave and labor periods of Africa. But due to its quality of sweetening the spice trade was escalating worldwide. In the modern world, sugar has brought a massive plethora of these dishes apart from the confectioneries.

Sugar as spice not sweetener? Days have changed

In the Modern Times, sugar is used less due to the different problems related to obesity and other diseases. Sugars are used in candies chocolate cakes and various other sweets. This fine Spice was later extracted from honey it was in 10,000 BC that in Asia and Africa beehives were the only source of sweeteners. In 8000 sugar was cultivated in New Guinea therefore after several centuries it was traded to India. Till then India was using honey, when sugar reached India history mentions that the first refined sugar was produced here itself, from 100 AD.

Experience the taste of the spice, not sweetener on our it was extracted fruit trees nectar from cactus and smashed fruits. But as the demand for sugar increased it led to the production of crops by exporting slaves from countries such as Brazil. Discovered as a spice not sweetener, sugar has been discovered for the need which later turned to become a flavor and taste for food.

Celebrities who were banned to enter their countries

Most of the bans by the countries against the celebs are unjustified few of them are:

Lily Allen

One of the popular American singers, Lily Allen who was banned to enter the US. It was the shocking behavior that she received from the authorities and stripped her visa. It is already known that she was detained by the customs officers for five hours. According to the singer, it was untrue that she had hit a photographer. When wanted to click some of her photos in the Melbourne airport.

As per the photographer’s allegations, she had kicked him out. While Lily Allen cleared the fact of pushing him out as he was jumping on her. On one allegation the celebrity’s visa was snatched by the US airport authority. Massive disappointing fact for the 22-year-old singer was detained and banned by the country for one miserable allegation.

Taslima Nasrin

Her journey as a writer is an example of boldness when she had to leave her country. Her exile has crossed more than 25 years. Taslima Nasrin was attacked by her own community for her publication Lajja. Taslima was forced to leave Bangladesh in the year 1994 then she owned Swedish citizenship. Life was threatened she could not resist the physical attacks. Facing the furious anger of the Islamic community continues.

Being a medical student she has established herself as a physician, she studied medicine in Bangladesh. Her publication Lajja was based on the harassment and crimes against the Hindu community by the Muslims of Bangladesh. Unfolding the hidden crimes had led her to pay through exile.
Dalai Lama

One of the religious rulers is Dalai Lama who had to face exile at an early age. He had fled to India and after receiving shelter India is his home. In 1959 he was forced to exile for his revolution and protests against the communist Chinese Invasions. It was in 1950 that they had invaded Tibet but they did not support the Chinese to rule over Tibet.

The spiritual leader is now 85 years old traveled all over the world. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989. After leaving Tibet he started to live in Dharamshala. Finally, their revolution led to rise the of democracy in Tibet in 1963.

His dedication to his country has given a new sunrise to his people. He was awarded the Geshe Lharampa Degree. It is equivalent to a doctorate according to the Buddhist religious philosophy.

These are some of the top leading celebs who have been banned from their country. Being banned from own countries have been less but whenever it took place it was shocking. Reasons may be different but they could not enter their place of birth.

Few of the traditional businesses that are still ruling as successful in India have inspired many young ones. Though it is small it is exceptional at the same time, which has made it only for the country business.

Tailoring:

The tailoring shops are nothing less profitable business, as specialization in cutting and stitching skills are transferring from generation to generation. Both tailors specializing in men’s clothing or women’s clothing are a need for customized and tailored garments. It started when there was no availability of ready-made garments as slowly the garment clothes has captured the maximum market.

But somehow or the other, they have not been able to entirely occupy as the requirement of the customized garments has not ended. For a better quality of clothes and proper sizes, the requirement of the tailor shops has not ended. Few enjoy bulk orders of a garment company instead of waiting for clients. Altogether it is small but independent and the traditional business that is still successful in India.

Bakery Shops:

Biscuits, cakes, cookies, bread, and chocolates are required on regular basis and so the end of the bakery shops has not been possible even in the future. Few bakeries are established for more than centuries which was once a small startup is now the largest bakeries in India. The Nahoum & Sons, in Kolkata started in 1902, which still manufactures various bakery products.

Similarly, Britannia started as a small bakery has the largest business market as a successful business. Local bakery businesses are none the less traditional and famous, as they have great returns each day on the sales of the products.

Book Stall:

Though online studies are common in modern times, the necessity of the books will never elapse over time. Independent and small businesses, which can never be out of the market, as we look into the different book shops they are still in the market and selling in much larger scales. Educational bookstalls requirements will never end and so this small business is traditional and successful at the same time in India.

Sweet Shop:

Sweets shops are a place for sweet lovers, as you walk along the streets of Kolkata several shops that exist not only for decades but for centuries. They make business every day due to their various sweets available in their sweet shops. The shop has become a heritage for visitors and sweet lovers.

Fruit juice Shop:

On summer days people under scorch sun find the fruit juice shop the most intimate, as various kinds of chilled juices are available in the shop. Sugarcanes shop is none-the-less as people in India are fond of mango and sugarcane juices. Shop stalls that started once are slowly turning to small businesses with good turnovers round the year.

Apart from it, the Local Cabs services have always been important for people, though several car services are available through the apps sitting at home. But local car services facing ups and downs have still occupied the market that is independent small business.

While you travel through countries such as the Philippines, Cuba, France, one can easily observe that sustaining for vegans are really difficult. India is a diversified country with not only different religions but also people in various areas and languages. Vegans life is easier similar to the non-vegan have the liberty to choose their own kind of delicacies and foods.

So, for an Indian, it is not difficult for a vegan to survive neither for a non-vegan. Contrarily it is easier for a foreigner to enjoy the vegan dishes and the non-vegans. India has the highest rate of vegans to approximately 37 percent in the entire world. On the other hand, Ethiopia has no meat almost around the year according to their religious prohibition.

So, if you visit Ethiopia, stay prepared to survive and enjoy the vegetarian dishes as no kind of meat is available in the country for most of the time due to religious fasting. Good times can be for the vegans from the different part of the country who can visit this place. Vegans should think twice to travel to places like the Philippines, Cuba, and France as foods are mostly on pieces of red meat. But due to the foreigners and their demand for vegan items few restaurants provide some. The difference between vegetarian and non –veg are not clear to them, and so it is complicated to find out the exact item for the travelers.

India place of the exciting vegans’ life

Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Haryana have the highest rate of vegetarians, they depend on vegetables and cereals of different types. Best vegetarian foods have inspired many to eat vegetables and depend less on non-vegetarian foods. Traveling through different parts foods on the street side stalls and restaurants that have to vary in tastes based on the culture. Vegans life and foods that are two to three-time delicious than the preparation of meats and eggs recipes that inspire people of India.

Stuffed Mushrooms

Mushroom Kofta

Tofu

Beans prepared dishes

Veggie Burgers

And many more, a list of healthy and tasty recipes which are prepared, not only Indians cherish the food but also it accomplishes the taste of meats. High in protein, these foods are the best replacements and also no chances of being hungry quite often when moving down the streets of the country. Flavors are unique that will touch the soul apart from filling the stomach. Diverting to Vegans life will not be disheartening if the qualities and quantity are satisfying the belly and soul.

This is possible because of the sources of spices and various vegetables grown in diverse parts of the country. Cereals, millets, along with the crops that grow around the years. Amazing dishes with the benefits of minerals, vitamins, above all it enables them to keep the body hydrated that the non-vegan foods mostly lack. Maybe a real veggie burger with the thick layer of crispiness, vegetables, and leaves that can overtake a lamb burger with radish Slaw, vegans life surely to be the best.

Depending on a single source will be a great mistake as if one country is facing any major problem then the outsources can be invited from another country. Bilateral support on the global supply will be advantageous to India but the other countries.

While mentioning the situation India decided to repeat the swadeshi movement that was led by Mahatma Gandhi. He, who believed to give up all the foreign products and use, wear native made. Though it was the revolution that was about 100 years back from now has reminded me about the necessity of Aatma Nirbharta.

Supply chain to bring revolution

Standing and progressing consistently for India will need a time period of two decades. India has already started its trials for the Atmanirbhar Bharat, Industrial Belts are slowly inclining their strategies with the new concept to develop “Self Dependent” India. The sudden breakdown in the economy is increasing the demand and requirement of more supplies. Almost the entire world is suffering from the insufficiency and crisis in the economy is observed including the top-ranked countries of Europe. In such situations when India has greater scope to prove from the intrigues of productions and supplies.

While the global supply chain this process will need a few strategies that help in accelerating the businesses in India. The agricultural sector, IT sector, and auto manufacturing sectors are the most long term and effective to the market that seeks a strong global platform after the lockdown. Lockdown has created a massive loss to the auto industry as well as IT sectors. With appropriate initiatives, the auto industry looks forward to opening wide in the global market from India as it already holds the fifth rank in selling auto parts.

The agricultural sector has been the most preferred for several decades, and it is still as the first preference. But in order to apply bilaterally and on large scale to different countries it is important to upgrade technicalities, improve the structures of the production to meet up with the demand for supply. Finally, the revolution of the silicon valley has already proven the strength and demand of Information Technology in India. How much is India prone to the development of Information technology? Each year about several IT professionals migrate to other countries for a handsome salary.

As the three major sectors are almost ready, who does require a replacement, re-planning that includes raw materials, land area for industry, and labor. Altogether the entire availability has provided India a global supply chain to begin immediately without structural rebalancing. Boosting of infrastructure and increasing of production both can be consistent while comparing to other sectors. Countries that are interested in investing will no doubt require a planned structure and time that will escalate the future supply chain. While apart from the Country’s supply or production the regional business development can be co-related with the three sectors.

Siddi tribe in India from Africa

The African tribe has already extinct in the continent of Africa but is still seen on the different coasts of India. According to the records on the Indo African people of about 70,000 people exists as the community. India has always been famous for the existence of various ancient tribes, ranging from the Mongoloid in the northeastern region to the south with several ancient tribal people. The Siddi people are located at the forests of the seaside areas, they have been living for several years since their ancestors have sailed into India. Not only slavery but before it, they traveled for business as merchants and traders.

Food and lifestyles

Though it has been several years that the tribe has moved in but their features and lifestyle are still connected to the forests. Far away from the urban-based people which is few miles away from them. To observe the lifestyle of adaptation from the ancestors can be seen if you visit the Yellapur area of Karanataka. Life of the tribal people is still stagnant to their old terms and has not changed at all. Their staple food and way of living are inspired by Africa, that you will find the matches as you move through the streets of the African continent.

When checking into the food of the people, they have adapted into the forest foods such as honeycombs, it can be just a living place for the honey bees for us urban people. Fresh dipped honey with the combs can be the only way to survive for the Siddis when they have no money to buy food. It enables them to exist through difficult times.

Another unique preparation during their hard times of survival is the red ants that are easily available from the forests. The preparation is a sweet ant’s chutney which is another staple food of the Indo-African, Siddi tribe that is served with rice.

Dance and music

African tribe had always been having a unique dance art form which is still carried by the Siddi people of India. When you are through the forest colony of people, during the celebration of Pongal the Damal dance that you will watch them performing has been from the ancient form of tribal dance of Africa.

Their music and dance are also related to their lifestyle describing they cherish hunting and cooking of their food. While they use mridangam which signifies their inspiration from Indian instruments mixed with the African.

This name was carried forward after independence, so once called Calcutta was the capital of undivided India till 1911. It was the time when the British invaded and was ruling over us, though during their reign, it was when Sati abolition rule was passed under the jurisdiction of Governor-General Lord William Bentinck.

It was Bengal, the Kolkata history that banned the Sati Pratha on 4th December 1829 which was a tradition of Hindus.
Another part of Bengal renaissance was during the rule of British India company when the widow’s remarriage acts confirmed in the year 1856 on 26th July.
Old Kolkata history does not end here; it was then the slogan “Give me blood, I shall give give you freedom”, was raised to fight against the British India company that was led Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Unsung heroes who sacrificed their lives for independent India.

Bengal its people before and after independence

Popular writers who revolted but their arms were the pens, who can forget the dedication of Bankim Chandra
Chattopadhyay, Micheal Madhusudan Dutt, and Rabindranath Tagore, from the lists of laureates. West Bengal has struggled far away from the days of independence but overall stood with head high, irrespective of the loss or victory.

Standing in 2020 while looking back after independence though old Kolkata has faced several problems who can deny the unforgettable director Satyajit Ray, the whole world knows him for his excellence in movie direction.

Mother Teresa, her dedication to helping the homeless child and establishment in Kolkata was honored with the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. Amartya Sen and Abhijit Banerjee are economists from Kolkata who won the Nobel prize for economics in 1998 and 2018 respectively.

Despite Bengal lack employment and industries

Bengal is lacking in employing its people despite the icons born and evolved. Several jute factories and mills are closed for years because of which jobless are its people.
Worries are rising among the young generation when they have to think about their career options. What expansion or addition has been in recent years to increase employment? Jobs are limited to Government jobs, private practices, and real estate. Professional ITs, Mechanical engineers, or other engineering students have to move to Bengal to earn a better place and better living if they want to opt for services. Options are limited that have provided the state limited sectors to earn its revenue, small businesses also find it hard to survive due to lack of exposure and scopes within the state.

Coronavirus pandemic Lockdown and Amphan builts crisis in Bengal

India faces a financial crisis due to coronavirus pandemic lockdown, so does Bengal. It was not too long thereafter Bengal faces the worst disastrous crisis of cyclone Um-Phung or Amphan. Worst natural calamity in Kolkata history with an impact of damages to agricultural lands that will last long. The entire city suffers from the darkness as no electricity for days and smartphones are idiot boxes as has no connectivity standing in May 2020.
Its all about Kolkata, the city of joy after thousands of people are homeless, they are farmers. Families are in the dark because of no electricity and no transport or manual help due to coronavirus pandemic.

Life must go on! Hardship arouses in each sector of all corners of the world. Coronavirus pandemic may be new to India and people; but struggle and overcoming from the hard times have always been the best part of us, Indians.

Life must go on during and before independence

Fighting for Independence that is a history today has never been easy. While slaves and farmers lost their lands, they struggled through the high revenues bearing life with full of debts. Life was never easy for the Indian common people who entirely were dependent on their lands and farming.
Indians fought back to win independence but that was not all, gaining Independence was possible after the World War when Britain declared to give up on India after World War II. After the Quit India movement in 1942, it was Britain who fought against Nazism in the Second World War, and about 2.5 million Indians were in the troops.

Life must go on after independence

People of India, their life worsen after Independence when poverty was at the doorsteps of the farmers, no employments, and also the main hit to the country was by the partition of the country. India was entirely still struggling to give a new rise; it took more than 60 years to stand and fly high. Now India has been stronger in all aspects. India has succeeded in possessing the nuclear weapon, also worked on projects like Chandrayaan I and Chandrayaan II.

It was after long years of struggle India stands independent and self-sufficient. But once again hard-luck knocked on the door when coronavirus pandemic is about the sunken the boat of the world economy.

Life must go on while people die from diseases

India from the onset or before independence has always been succumbed due to health problems and issues. Though India has given birth to famous scientists, if we dig into ancient history science and philosophy have been part of India. But when it arrived at the curing of diseases and health of people it ended to struggles.

Spanish flu was that spread due to World War I and affected globally from 1918 – 1920. It was in Kolkata the major outbreak of cholera pandemic was seen due to worse sanitization, turned it into an epicenter in 1961 – 1975.
While the recent major pandemic of 2020, has affected globally compared to the spread of SARS in 2002 -2004, it is similar to Covid-19.

Life must go on when natural calamities

In 1894 the Coringa cyclone caused the death of 20,000 people in the ancient city of Coringa. In 1999, Odisha faced the cyclone with the death of 15000 people causing strong damages to a poor and struggling state of India. Earthquake in 2001 in Gujarat killed 20,000 people and in 2005 the Mumbai drowned in flood, while in 2019, at least three cyclones and storms that arrived were highly disastrous that destroyed the coastal areas.

In 2020, when COVID global pandemic worsens human life, people in lockdown phases still find out one reason to live happy and safe as life must go on!

Globalization has been depending on the businesses or trade, development of the multi-national companies, migration for employers, and constant increase of the capital flow. Entirely shifting of globalization to localization can be risky at the early stage in the world economy as it will lead to a sudden steep fall or crisis in the world economy.
To understand the risk factors it is important to understand the advantages and disadvantages of both Globalization to Localisation.

Main benefits of globalization for a country and impact on the world economy are as follows:

The first benefits of globalization are free to trade, trading between the countries involves exchanging of products and goods at low prices with the higher opportunity of increasing business in the country.

Localization initiates on the community growth, by selling and production at the local sectors. No exchanging of goods or products leads to slow growth of but it will lead to stable growth. No worries of steep fall of the economic growth contrary to the world economy. Increase in revenue with the local business improvement to gain stability in the world economy but once again the process is slow compared to globalization.

Business and production in the economy

The major benefit of globalization is the production of specialized products on a higher scale. Lack of space and labor limits the production consistent with high demand. Land, industries, and labor, the entire equipment scale can be increased with production in different parts of the world.
You can easily assume that the cost of production to low selling prices to the consumers.
While here a drawback in localization is observed when the production is entirely localized. As the scale of production cannot be increased even when it emerges high demand for the specialized production of a product. Localization to production and demand hampers the developing world economy.

Cultural diversity

Globalization abruptly reduces cultural diversity, but mainly on the intention of economic growth prior importance is mostly compromised. The local businesses in the world economy sustain the benefit of cultural diversity.

Localization interprets for translation

The translation is a process to streamline country businesses which require to follow certain processes. When we look at the translation of the country, different prospects are perpetuated.
Being bigger than ordinary is challenging for having balanced approach towards day to day life. One gets bouquets every day. At the same time one bears burden of thorns of harsh criticism every minute. Above all, there is bundle of problematic riddles on the head increasing every second.

That’s what means to having the position of Prime Minister of the largest democracy of the world with huge population, vast land with thousands of variations. This position of high power has given Narendra Modi to prove his strength and vision for welfare of common people. He seems to be at ease in public view. He carries on his responsibility day and night with untiring endeavour. He smiles. He frowns. He laughs. He cries.

Believe me he is human like any of us yet meant to rise higher than all of us.

He strives against all odds. He speaks non stop for hours. He meets many persons of authority. He shakes hands with warmth with discriminating one against others. He embraces one and all in foreign land as well as on our own pious muddy country.

He walks behind the departed soul of our dear Prime Minister Atal ji. He flies high when our airforce takes swift action against terrorists. He bows down before baba of Shirdi and Sri Aurobindo and his own blessed mother.

There is much more in his head what anyone on this earth can assume. He has his platter full of policy. He knows how to play Power * Power in politics. He has knack to bringing world leaders on terms for the sake of national interest. He lives for national treasure to be preserved. He loves wildlife and nature to be protected.

Yes ! Narendra Modi is Man with difference!

Analytical inference of this man can be concluded as:
“Success is not money or muscle power, not even fat pay bracket or place on high table. Success is being at peace with yourself n courage to say ‘No’ guided by inner self. Appeasement at the cost of own principles is the cause of failure. Other way round lies success.”

This is how our Prime Minister mirrored in the minds of those who vote or may not vote for him and his party.

Our dear Prime Minister is precious Birthday Boy today.

Let us wish him Success, progress and performance as always with bountiful of affection and respect. After all birthday wishes emanating from heart reach beautifully to hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Divine blessings are bestowed upon him from above.

Happy Birthday once again dear hon’ble Prime Minister!

1) Gandhi could have stopped the execution of Bhagat Singh.
It has been a matter of great debate for many years. Many people including some leading politicians believe that Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi could have used his power and influenced the British government, thereby saving Bhagat Singh’s life.

2) How exactly did Lal Bahadur Shastri die?
49 years have passed and still no answer has been found. The suspicion increases when government starts giving unexplainable answers to this question. It is said the Russians were behind the death of this great politician from India who was also the prime minister of India back then.

3) Plane crash was not the reason behind Subhash Chandra Bose’s death.

4) Who killed lalit Narayan Mishra ?
Lalit Narayan Mishra was the Railway minister of India during the Indira Gandhi rule. Once when he was on a tour to Samastipur to inspect a certain project, an explosion cost him his life. Many believe that the CIA was behind his assassination.

5) Homi bhabha’s death
There is a conspiracy theory that the plane crash in which Homi Bhabha died was pre-planned and this time again questions were raised on CIA.

We are still hostages to the old beliefs, that is to say the superstitions that eclipse our vision sometimes. Of course, it cleaves the country into two parts, one of the intellectuals and another of the ones with ambiguous notions, as we like to think. But wait, are those superstitions that we cold shoulder or side eye really as vague? Perhaps not, there is no reason to admonish them because they may also have kinship with logic.

So, here are some of the Indian superstitious beliefs that we can’t completely label as rubbish because they have deeper logical connotation.

Indian superstitious beliefs –

1 – Stepping out during an eclipse costs you of your eyesight:

There is a popular belief that if you observe the Sun in broad daylight, you will be afflicted with ‘eclipse blindness’ and our ancestors always have opined against it. It was believed that Rahu’s head blocks the Sun which idea is inspired by a mythological story.

2 – Sleeping with your head facing the north may cost you heart problems:

It is all about biomagnetism which is between Earth’s magnetic field and human body’s field. Our ancestors made this rule to sleep with your head facing the south because the blood pressure would be in control this way and Earth’s magnetic field can’t wreak havoc in your health.

3 – A girl should not do certain things during her menstruation:

When a girl is menstruating, she needs rest. Neither Sanitary napkins, nor painkillers like Meftal Plus were available during 20th century so women had to go through trying times dealing with the pain and cramps. Not letting them do certain works during those times were meant to give them some rest they rightfully deserved.

4 – Not loitering around a Peepal tree during the night:

Before Jan Van Helmont found out the recipe of plant food in the 17th century, the World had no idea about how glucose is created from the unison of sunlight and carbon-di-oxide. But it seems like our ancestors had inkling about the photosynthesis and the ill-effects of humans inhaling carbon-di-oxide so they dissuaded other human beings to linger around a Peepal tree during the night.

5 – To street clear of evil-eye, usage of Green Chilli and Lemons:

Both Lemon and Chillies are rich with vitamins and were incorporated in every food and rituals in the earlier days which later transmuted into a totka to avert evil-eye. Also, the pesticidal properties of lemon and green chillies have been proven too.

5 – Bathing after attending a funeral ceremony:

There were no vaccinations available against Hepatitis B, Smallpox or other detrimental diseases back then so our ancestors resorted to bathing after attending a funeral ceremony to get rid of the germs that they may have been absorbed.

6 – The mourning family or the deceased should not cook food until Sraddha:

This is a Hindu popular belief to not to simmer a cauldron until Sradhha for the departed soul is performed. This was meant to give the family some physical rest who are already emotionally drained from losing their loved one.

So, these Indian superstitious beliefs go beyond reasonable doubts to be propagated throughout the country and spanning generations.

However, what really concerns us about Muhammad Ali Jinnah is his bigotry which every sensible Hindu, Muslim or Christian would be repelled to.

However, like Manmohan Singh has been an accidental Prime Minister, Muhammad Ali Jinnah was an accidental Muslim who has actually converted to Islam from Hinduism. It rather prided on not being able to speak even a word in Urdu and speaking Gujarati fluently instead. Antagonising to the Muslim diktats, he relished Pork and drank scotch with a fetish for clothing like an English Gentleman-waistcoat, pipe and monocle that is to say.

Jinnah lived a life in the same parameter of an upper-class English gentleman who was very conscious about his appearance. Grapevine has it, he never repeated his same silk tie twice and his wardrobe was swarmed with 200 hand-tailored suits. It was rather surprising that Jinnah, irrespective of spending a lavish lifestyle, was always careful about his money throughout his life. In the early 1930s, he lived in an opulent house in Hampstead, London with an English Chauffeur who drove his Bentley and two cooks, one Indian and another Irish in tow.

The main agenda beind Jinnah’s embracing Islam was that the fundamentalist favour. However, the embryo of his bigoted ideas came to life and lead Pakistan’s fate astray. However, in this time and age and in a country as ours, antagonising faiths lead to religious violence and it becomes a hotbed of riots.

In that regard, India should be thankful to Jinnah for being the torch-bearer of partition, he rid us off the most toxic thoughts and ideas to run a nation and we sigh competently now looking at the ill-fate of Pakistan now. In the kaleidoscope of religious history in India, the majority of Indian Muslims consider Pakistan as an embarrassment to their faith. However, in handful of states like Jammu, Kashmir, Kerala and West Bengal, Muslims see affinity with Pakistan.

Surprisingly, some are paid agents of ISI and continue to brainwash young-guns from universities like Jamia Milia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University. On the contrary, Hindu extremists and cow vigilantes are too on the prowl, demonizing Hindu-Muslim marriage in the name of Love-Jihad and embarrassing Muslims under the excuse of National security.

Rahul Gandhi has even said in an envoy that Hindu extremism is turning more detrimental than Muslim terrorism and it impacts in the voting pattern too as Muslims can’t quite trust the BJP.

On the opposite side, lampoons like Owaisi, encash on the Muslim victimhood to garner votes.

So, our point of view is that keep Jinnah’s portrait but be Indian first, then Muslims and rule out the theocratic bigotry that Muhammad Ali Jinnah once prescribed and practised.

Not too long ago, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited India and Narendra Modi was in no mood to hide his fondness for this philanthropic foreign leader.

They embraced, tweeted at each other, sent birthday gift to each other which dropped hints at their camaraderie. It is abundantly clear from Modi’s gestures and hospitalities that he is striving to make India a global player in International affairs.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had his family in tow when he visited India, he was accompanied by his wife one daughter and two sons, the youngest of whom became an internet sensation in a matter of few hours stealing the thunder of Abram, Shah Rukh Khan’s younger son and Taimur Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Trudeau is highly regarded for his tolerance towards various ethnicities and has also attended Diwali dressed in Sherwani to make the Indian community in Canada feel at home. Apart from being an adept leader and humanitarian, Justin Trudeau has a charming personality and great smile to say least. But, all hell broke loose when he visited Indian temples wearing blingy Sherwanis while his wife and children dressed in Indian attires alike. Their outfits were so over-the-top that it attracted winds of trolls and became the butt of all jokes.

Not only in temples, Trudeau seemed to pose for photographs with Bollywood actors wearing Sherwani. Whoa! He tried too hard to impress and of course, the Twiterratis that are always on the prowl for potential laughter topics, made jokes on Trudeau’s expense.

So, here are the jokes that were doing the rounds over social media for quite a few days:

Indian actors with Canadian citizens:

In this photo Trudeau’s Sherwani gives us a feel of visiting a marriage function while Shah Rukh Khan is rather smartly dressed in a black suit.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham Revisited:

Huh?! The perfect Raichand family looks so much complete here. Here’s Justin Trudeau is referred as Rohan Raichand while Shah Rukha Khan Rahul Raichand. Trudeau’s wife perfectly fits the criterion on Poo just Anjali is missing.

Guess who is RSS’s favourite:

Here Trudeau looks more Indian than Shah Rukh Khan, much to RSS’s amazement.

This is what happens when you take Yoga too seriously:

Looks like the whole family is just out of a Yoga class, they are still under the spell of it. That Namastey is so extravagant.

Ham actors:

This is height of over acting man!

These are tear-inducingly hilarious. Twitteretis can be so mean!

We will tell you, the outpour of confessions from women who has passed through sexual harassment and survived.

Their unadulterated truth about being subdued, being treated as sexual objects and being silenced obtrusively startled us. All of us, as women have suffered sexual assault and in 2017, we came to speak of it defiantly. Albeit, it is a major change that our society always vied for. Now, what traumatizes us that all the confessions have fallen in deaf ear as Indian Government dramatically failed to secure the rights of women and have their back. Here are few instances how:

Indian government failed women –

The Lathi-charge in BHU:

In the heel of the incident when a female student was harassed by three bike-borne men on her way back to the hostel, sparked an uproar as the hostel super, instead of lodging a complaint with the police, accused her for coming late. It prompted thousands of female students to sit on Dharna protest and police executed a Lathi-charge to scatter them.

When the police, our protector turned assaulter:

Soon after RJ Malishka aired a sarcastic song on how BMC failed to maintain the Mumbai roads, the Shiv-sena ruled BMC issued a notice that she is breeding mosquitoes in her place. A youth wing of BMC even demanded to file a defamation case against RJ Malishka. Imagine how a party on power went bonkers over just a song?

Government inferred 12% GST on sanitary napkins:

As opposed to the demand of GST council advocated the implication of 12% charges on sanitary napkins, women burst in protest, especially the feminist organizations like SheSays that said the most village women use husk and ash during those days not being able to afford sanitary napkins but government turned deaf ear.

When Deepika Padukone was kept at gun-point:

Haryana BJP Chief Co-ordinator Suraj Pal Amu announced a bounty of a whopping 10 crores on Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s head followed by a furore over the movie Padmavati’s release citing its portrayal of Rani Padmini’s character was defamatory. After such outrageous statement, all the government did to pose as an onlooker.

Hadiya fought for her right to marry whomever she wanted:

Hadiya, an adult woman appeared in the Kerala High Court to confess that she wilfully accepted Islam and married a Muslim man but, as hilarious as it seems annulled the marriage thinking she was INCAPABLE of taking the decision. While the husband moved Supreme Court, the apex court upheld Kerala SC’s order and deployed the NIA to investigate. However, in a fresh ruling, she was GRANTED to resume college. Seriously? Granting someone to pursue her civil rights in a democratic country? Fundamental rights have gone for a toss, it seems.

These are the times when the Indian government failed women but being seasoned with it will only fuel drudgeries. We think.

Even worse, they are often held accountable for fuelling the criminal activities and being on the receiving end of bribery. Conversely, there is negligence from the end of the government that push them into misdeeds. That is to say, Police force was put up for providing safety and security to the common masses and annihilates crime from the root of it.

They are the law enforcers who look after the fact that everyone adheres to the law. Then there are galactically atrocious crimes and encounters that ask chivalry from them and no chivalry is executed without proper armaments. But the lack of sufficient supply and outdatedness of the same bring enormous adversities to them.

Here are the few examples of the kinds of Guns that Indian police use –

Guns that Indian police use –

1 – Service Pistol:
It is a simple handgun issued to Military personnel or law enforcement officers. These semi-automatic guns are stipulated for officers, non-commissioned officers for their self-defence.

2 – Glock 17:

It is Australian made and is Polymer-framed, short-recoil operated and lock-breech semi-automatic hand-held weapon. It is preferred by Indian officials at large and this is only issued to the IPS officers.

3 – Pistol Auto 9mm 1A:

This semi-automatic pistol is self-loading with a 13 round capacity. Manufactured in India, it is extensively used by police officers.

4 – Glock 26:

7 – Heckler and Koch MP5:

9 – Browning High Power Pistol:

This is a single action, semi-automatic 9mm pistol made in Belgium. American Firearms Inventor John Browning’s design is adapted to make this. It comes with 13 rounds magazine capacity.

These are the guns that Indian police use – On a regular case, it’s always a choice for the IPS officers which weapon they want to carry. Also, there is question of availability. There are times when they use AK-47 and times they use 12 bore shotgun.

Worse, they are often held accountable for abuses and violating the human rights. It brings us to assume that the system is dysfunctional and needs immediate improvement. This is awkward and shames us in the international forefront. Well, we can’t rule out all these accusations against them because some of them have connection to reality. But then again, there are instances when Police Officers belittled their lives to serve a bigger cause. Brave stories of some IPS officers have pumped up our blood always and here are some of them:

Vinod Kumar Chaubey:

While his stint as an IPS Officer in Chattisgarh, Vinod Kumar Chaubey unleashed an attack on the Naxals who murdered two police officers from his team. The predators were hurling bullets and grenades towards his team mates, but Chaubey sprang into a position as close as 10 metres from the naxals and fired which made them pull out from the gun-fight. He saved a dozen of his men along with a bus full of people who were stranded in the middle of the bloodbath. He ultimately succumbed to death being hurt by bullets.

Mohan Chand Sharma:

Mohan Chand Sharma was a respected police officer of Delhi police who died during an encounter with terrorists who carried out 2008 blasts at Batla house. He was unflinching in the battle and took bullets in his abdomen and died of the excessive blood loss however leaving the encounter successful.

Hemant Karkare:

On the fateful night of 26/11, Hemant Karkare rushed to the Shivaji Terminus to encounter Ajmal Kasab and his fellow terrorists. He was not even properly armed and was wearing just a helmet and bullet proof vest while Kasab and company came prepared with grenades and AK-47.

Ashok Kamte:

Ashok Kamte’s bravery is epitomised now as he rose as a hero in the dreadful night of 26/11. He was killed in the same night alongside Vijay Salaskar, Hemant Karkare being the only one who successfully planted a bullet in Ajmal Kasab’s body. He was posthumously rewarded Ashok Chakra on 26th January 2009 for his bravery.

Vijay Salaskar:

His character was later essayed by Nana Patekar in the movie 26/11. This fearsome encounter specialist became a household name in India after his brave encounter with the terrorists that night. He attacked the terrorist head on and sacrificed his life for us but left an example for the generations to come nonetheless.

K Prasad Babu:

He was an indispensable part of the elite Greyhounds special operations group of the Andhra Pradesh Police. He embarked on a gun-fight and killed 9 maoists with limited ammunition to save the lives of 4 commandos. He however became the first one to receive Ashok Chakra from the government.

Ajit Kumar Doval:

He excelled as a successful spy in Indian history and now overlooks the Intelligence Bureau. He was an undercover agent in Pakistan for 7 straight years and even disguised as an ISI agent during the 1980 Golden Temple siege to pass information to the army.

Shivdeep Waman Lande:

He was a nightmare for the criminals during his stint in Patna. He is the real world ‘Dabangg’ police officer who served there as an SP. He was the local Robinhood and respected by women as an elder brother for dealing with the predators in his own badass way. Of course, the corrupt politicians were repelled to his honesty and transferred him.

These are the examples of honest and awesome IPS officers who showed machismo and set goals.
