1 tsp roasted cumin powder<br />
1 ½ tsp black salt<br />
2 tsp lime juice<br />
2 -3 cubes of ice</p>
<p><strong>How to make</strong>:<br />
Mix sattu, cumin powder, black salt and lime juice in water. Stir till sattu dissolves completely. Add ice cubes and savour.</p>

<p>Ingredients: 1 cup whole wheat flour, ½ cup melted ghee, 3/4<sup>th</sup> cup sugar, 1tbsp cardamom, and some julienned almonds for garnishing.</p>
<p>Process: Take a thick vessel and heat some ghee in it. Add the whole wheat flour and keep stirring to avoid lumps, flame should be medium and the stirring time should be 8-10 minutes. The atta will turn brown in colour then add the sugar, and water and keep stirring well. Serve hot with almond garnishing.</p>

<li><strong>Curd Upma: </strong></li>
</ol>
<p>Ingredients: ½ cup curd, 1 cup semolina, 1tbsp green chilli paste, 2 tbsp oil, ½ tbsp mustard seeds, ½ tbsp.  Urad dal, 4 curry leaves, ½ julienned onions, 2tbsp finely chopped coriander.</p>
<p>Process: Make an assortment of curd, green chilli paste, salt and ½ cup of water in a thick bowl, whisk well and keep aside to sit. Heat oil in a thick vessel, splatter the mustard seeds and then add the urad dal and curry leaves and keep stirring on medium flame, add the onions and stir again for a minute, add the semolina and stir in medium flame for 3-4 minutes, now finally add the curd water with coriander, cover with lid and let it cook for 3 minutes.</p>

<li><strong>Batata Poha: </strong></li>
</ol>
<p>Ingredients: 2 cups of thick beaten rice flakes, 2 tbsp oil, ½ tbsp. mustard seeds, ½ cup finely chopped onions, ½ cup peeled potato cubes, ¾ th tbsp. turmeric powder, 1 tbsp ginger-green chilli paste, 1 tbsp sugar, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp milk, 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander.</p>
<p>Process: Heat the oil in a thick non-stick pan and crackle some mustard seeds then put some Hing, Now add the onions and fry until brown, add the potatoes, 2 tbs of water, salt and ½ tbsp. turmeric water, stir well and cook in medium flame for 4-5 minutes. Place the beaten and soaked rice flakes in a sieve, add little salt, ginger-green chilli paste, ½ tbsp. turmeric powder, sugar, lemon juice, and mil, keep stirring in medium heat for 2 minutes, make sure the poha does end up in lumps so cook carefully.</p>

<p>Ingredients: 4 tbsp peeled almonds, 1 cup roughly chopped bananas, ½ cup chilled milk, 2 tbsp sugar, ½ tbsp. Vanilla essence, 8 ice-cubes.</p>
<p>Process: Combine everything in a blender and blend into a fine thick drink. It’s tasty and filling.</p>

<li>Mix all ingredients (A) to form a batter.</li>
<li>Use the preheated <strong>dosa maker</strong> from KENT and dip at an angle into the batter to cover the edges followed by the centre.</li>
<li>Flip over the appliance and let the Patande cook till they are brown.</li>

<ul>
<li>4 big potatoes</li>
<li>4 green chillies</li>
<li>3 medium-sized onions</li>
<li>Salt to taste</li>
<li>2 ½ tablespoon mustard oil (to cook)</li>

<p><strong><u>Preparation</u></strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Wash, and peel potatoes and cut them into</li>
<li>Boil them till they are spongy and ready for mashing.</li>
<li>Finely chop onions and green chillies.</li>
<li>Mash potatoes, green chillies and onions together.</li>
<li>Sprinkle salt as per your taste and add mustard oil.</li>

<p>Yes! You can fuse Noodles and spring rolls together to create a scrumptious dish! This dish is a brilliant appetizer that will leave your guests wanting for more.</p>

<li>500 grams of flour (for noodles)</li>
<li>2 cups of water</li>
<li>2 cups of onions (finely chopped)</li>

<li>½ cup carrots (grated)</li>
<li>½ cup capsicum (grated)</li>
<li>1 cup flour/maida (for spring rolls)</li>
<li>1 cup olive oil</li>

<p><strong><u>Preparation</u></strong></p>
<ol>

<p>No, I am not here to present a magic trick on this notion but a scientific research by Modern Meadows that has now started creating animal products in a laboratory with the help of bio-fabrication. All that the scientists are doing is taking biopsies sample of an animal and then multiplying the cells in their laboratory to create meat and then turning it into the desired product.</p>
<p>Basically, no sin!</p>
<p>The idea behind this Brooklyn based laboratory, Modern Meadow, was to save animals as well as fulfill the wishes of a normal consumer who loves animal products, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meat_analogue" target="_blank">meat and leather</a>.</p>
<p>The first leather prototype of the company came out in 2013 and was a success.</p>
<p>That is why they started working towards more with the help of expert designers, artisans, scientists, chefs, etc.</p>
<p>In 2015, the company also got its first big funding of $10 million by Li Ka-Shing&#8217;s Horizon Ventures.</p>
<p>This great initiative by Modern Meadow is truly one of its kind and once it comes out in the market, it is surely going to be a true hit amongst animal lovers. Though the initiative is good, the production is quite difficult and it takes 1-2 months for producing 1 square feet of leather. Also, the softness of leather will be the same but won’t have the scratches and rough look of the real leather products. This is why experts at Modern Meadow are still working towards the same and the products are yet to be launched in the market for consumers.</p>
<p>So, it’s not just about eating the meat but everything else that consists of animal slaughtering. After knowing that no animals will be killed for a meat, will you consume it finally?</p>

<p><strong>1. Maharashtrian poha</strong></p>
<p>This nutritious meal is not only tasty but will make you feel fuller longer.</p>
<p><strong>Ingredients : </strong>Poha, chopped onions, boiled potatoes, chilies, lemon juice, sugar, salt, oil, mustard seeds, asafoetida, turmeric powder, coriander leaves, ground nuts and fresh coconut to garnish.<br />

How to prepare:</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Wash and rinse the poha and keep it aside.</li>
<li>Heat oil in the pan. Add mustard seeds. When they crackle, add asafoetida, turmeric powder, onion, boiled potatoes and green chillies.</li>
<li>Add a pinch of sugar and salt as per your taste.</li>
<li>Add water and poha and mix everything well.</li>
<li>Add fried ground nuts as toppings.</li>
<li>Cover and cook for five minutes and garnish with fresh coconut and stir fried nuts.</li>

<p><strong>1.  Moroccan Lentils</strong></p>
<p>This dish is ubelieveably good and is very simple to prepare. No doubt this will be an instant hit among your family and friends.</p>
<p><b>Ingredients:</b></p>
<p>Cinnamon, turmeric, dried ginger, paprika, cayenne, salt (ground all these species), lentils (rinsed), oil, cumin seeds, yellow onion (diced), minced garlic, pureed tomatoes, lemon zest and minced parsley and cilantro.</p>
<p><strong>How to make:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Heat a pan over medium heat and add olive oil and whole cumin seeds. Let the cumin to pop and then add onion and sauté it till it gets golden.</li>
<li>Add garlic and spice mixture and toss everything so they are nicely coated in oil.</li>
<li>Later add tomatoes and salt to taste.</li>
<li>Add water and lentils and bring to a boil (cover it for 30 minutes).</li>
<li>Add lemon zest.</li>
<li>If the lentils look dry, do add water.</li>
<li>Sprinkle each serving with cilantro or parsley. You can add a dollop of yogurt to calm the heat of spices.</li>

<p><strong>How to make:</strong> In a pan, heat up the oil. Add the cumin seeds and once they sizzle add the <em>hing</em>. Once you smell the aroma, add the chickpeas &amp; potatoes. Also add the <em>garam masala</em>, cumin powder and salt. Toss around for 3-5 minutes till the chickpeas look shiny. Remove from heat &amp; add the lemon juice. Mix well.
