It started in Yunnan city during the reign of the Qing dynasty. It led to the death of more than 12 million people, India was severely affected by the pandemic. About 10 million people in India died due to the plague. The only way was isolation, quarantine and travel restrictions enabled to drop the graph of infections.

Though the epicentre was in China the disease had an impact in India killed millions of people. After this, the outbreak was multiple after 1772 more than three times. Eradicating bubonic plaque was difficult. Ultimately in 1929, the plague was once again a huge threat to life and human beings.

Covid-19 has a high affinity to spread and so proper PPE and sanitary products should be available.

Dr. Bidhan Chandra, a famous physician of India, his death anniversary is honored as National Doctor’s Day. His contribution to his profession and the nation has been unforgettable to the country. Apart from being the freedom fighter, he has been the chief minister of West Bengal. He has been awarded Bharat Ratna for his dedication to the country during the hard times of his countrymen. 

On the 1st of July India celebrates the National Doctor’s day while different parts of the world celebrate on different days of year. The strange part of this particular day of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy is his date of birth and death. Due to his practicing during the time of need for his people, it was in the British Medical Journal he has been called the “first Medical consultant in the subcontinent of India”. A person who worked for the public health along with had taken the responsibility of serving the state for 14 years of tenure as CM. 

Awareness of health in India

This particular day’s initiative has started from 1st July 1991 to develop awareness in people about the contribution of the doctors of India to the society. It has already been 19 years that this National Doctor’s Day is celebrated all over the country. Doctors as professional has always been working to treat people and cure them to survive a healthy life. India has been facing different crisis in various times due to the attacks of diseases at and still fight on it, to prevent and control from life taking diseases.

Leprosy 

Leprosy has been one of the ancient diseases that were identified and now the disease is treated. Deadly and still, people are frightened to come in contact with the patients. When looking back into Kolkata history, none of the books remains to unfold when anyone has wanted to learn about the Kolkata, which was once known as Calcutta. Old Kolkata history does not end here; it was then the slogan “Give me blood, I shall give give you freedom”, was raised to fight against the British India company that was led Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Unsung heroes who sacrificed their lives for independent India.

The onset of the Coronavirus led to an uncertain destiny to the worldwide epidemic. Life must go on! Hardship arouses in each sector of all corners of the world. Coronavirus pandemic may be new to India and people; but struggle and overcoming from the hard times have always been the best part of us, Indians.

Life must go on during and before independence

Fighting for Independence that is a history today has never been easy. While slaves and farmers lost their lands, they struggled through the high revenues bearing life with full of debts. Life was never easy for the Indian common people who entirely were dependent on their lands and farming.
Indians fought back to win independence but that was not all, gaining Independence was possible after the World War when Britain declared to give up on India after World War II. After the Quit India movement in 1942, it was Britain who fought against Nazism in the Second World War, and about 2.5 million Indians were in the troops.

Life must go on after independence

People of India, their life worsen after Independence when poverty was at the doorsteps of the farmers, no employments, and also the main hit to the country was by the partition of the country. India was entirely still struggling to give a new rise; it took more than 60 years to stand and fly high. Now India has been stronger in all aspects. India has succeeded in possessing the nuclear weapon, also worked on projects like Chandrayaan I and Chandrayaan II.

It was after long years of struggle India stands independent and self-sufficient. But once again hard-luck knocked on the door when coronavirus pandemic is about the sunken the boat of the world economy.

India from the onset or before independence has always been succumbed due to health problems and issues. Though India has given birth to famous scientists, if we dig into ancient history science and philosophy have been part of India. Coronavirus infection has turned out to become a global pandemic in which people are suffering through major respiratory problems. Slowly the symptoms will start reducing from 11th to 12th day.
But in many positive cases, the condition of the coronavirus infection may bewilder with severe illness, high temperature and the following symptoms will require medical attention:

• Chest Pain
• Confusion
• Pale face

Old age cases required hospitalization while rare cases of the children were observed to be under a severe attack of coronavirus infection. About 95 percent of child cases will not require to stay in hospitals while 80 percent of adult, this was after WHO has established the 14 days quarantine period. On the other hand, the Johns Hopkins researcher’s reports stated that the new coronavirus symptoms of the host developed within 5 days to 12 days.
According to Rachel Graham, who is a virologist stated the incubation period differs from virus to virus and sometimes from host to host.
While is coronavirus infection about 97 percent of people have shown the symptoms after being exposed to SARS-CoV-2. The complete exposure of the symptoms of 99 percent is observed in 14 days.

Things you should do  

You may not be infected but it is essential to follow and maintain the hygiene the keep the virus away from the doorsteps of your house. Keep the house free from dirt, wash the packets and plastics if you need to use it immediately or else leave it for 72 hours and you can use the plastics, cardboard boxes or packets.

Cover your house while sneezing, wash your hands with soap or hand wash. Clean the doorknobs and other surfaces that are common and frequently used. Though you have overcome the 14 days quarantine period it is necessary to follow the hygiene

 Homemade food is the best part of the lockdown that the families are enjoying, enough time to spend on hobbies that were buried due to the tight schedules. Above all, now your neighbours turn to be your good friends. You may not know your neighbour but now you spend hours talking to your next door.

 Online activities have increased to a far extent, people are sharing music, tutorials of food and different funny videos are seen that social media holders are enjoying. People are stress-free to a far extent.  As good times are seen due to coronavirus a few hard times are also experienced as people who are sick and unhealthy are unable to access medical treatments. Diabetic patients, surgical procedure or other critical disease treatment are on halt for the time being unless the epidemic of coronavirus is over in 2020
