The Curse of La Llorona storyline shapes that, Anna Garcia, a social worker and widow who raises two kids in 1973 Los Angeles, is called to check in on one of her cases.

She finds signs of something evil incidences. As she digs deeper, she finds remarkable similarities between the case and the terrifying supernatural occurrences that is haunting her family. Searching for help of a local faith healer, she discovers that La Llorona has latched herself onto Anna and will stop at nothing to take her children.

La Llorona, which is also known as “the Weeping Woman” is a female ghost in Venezuelan folklore that lost her children and causes misfortune to those nearby. As she searches for them, she takes others lost children, making them her own.

The Legend of La Llorona is based on a true story which is commonly found in South Texas or in Mexico where the story was originally originated from. In the Mexican folklore it is mentioned that, La Llorona means “The Weeping Woman”. The legend says a woman named Maria lived in a village. She is beautiful young woman. One day, a noble man passed by her village and saw Maria. He was instantly felt captivated by her beauty and fell in love with her. The noble man, proposed her for marriage and she immediately said yes. But, the noble man’s father didn’t approve the girl or the marriage. They both stayed away and settled together away from his father. Soon, Maria conceived and gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl. She was happy beyond words. But as days went by, Maria felt her husband was drifting away from her. He doesn’t come home often or spends enough time to spend with her and one day he just stopped coming home.

One day, Maria along with her kids walking by the river, when she saw a familiar carriage with a young and beautiful woman sat next to her husband. She grew angry and in her anger she threw her children in the river drowning them. But, when she saw their bodies floating she then realised, what she has done? She jumped into the river hoping to die along with her children. At the heaven’s gate, she was shunned to earth to search for the souls of her children. She wasn’t permitted to afterlife until she finds them. It is believed that she’s stuck between living and the dead.

This story has many different versions but in some version its said that she kidnaps kids who looked similar to her own and kills them to take place of her own. It’s called “The Weeping Woman” because she constantly cries for her dead children. At night or late evening some do hear her crying or wailing of her. It’s said if you hear them then you are marked to death. It is said in Guatemalan version of the legend, it is said that if you hear her wails sound near, she actually far and fi her wailing sound is far the n it actually is near.

In a Greek mythology, the tale of a demigoddess Lamia was mentioned. She and Zeus had an affair and when Hera, Zeus’s wife learned about it she killed all Lamia’s children, had with Zeus. Out of jealousy and loss she steals other woman’s children. In the book “Mysterious New Mexico” some traces of German folktale from 1486 are found.

The ghost of La Llororna was appeared in my films or movies adaptations stating it haunting stories of “The Weeping Woman”. In Mexican a film was made The Cure of The Crying Woman (1961) it involves with the resurrection of the spirit of La Llorona. The Cry (2017), Mama (2013), Chasing Papi (2003), Black Lady of Bradley Woods and The Sibon. In a NBC TV series second season of Grimm, in its’ ninth episode. It showed that a ghost like woman who appears in Halloween in different cities always lures three kids to the three rivers meet; attempting to sacrifice these children to regain her own. In the TV series The Supernatural, a similar storyline of La Llorona’s story was portrayed by Sarah Shahi. There were also animated adaptation of the story, it titled as La Leyenda De La Llorona, and here she is portyaed as a sympathetic character. Her children’ death comes like an accident than by her own hands. In 1995, a Mexican playwright Josefiena Lopez wrote “The UnconqueredSpirits.” Lopez used the myth of La Llorona. But Lopez was mainly inspired by the story of La Malinche one of the many versions of La Llorona.  The story is of a young girl who was brutally raped by Spanish Friar, she gives birth to twin boys as a result and drowns them in river.

The unemployment is increased doubled since 2017. Jobless has become a major problem the country is facing. It is believed that employment rate is declining due to women are leaving jobs and male employment rate is very little.According to Labour Bureau Statistics, India has become most unemployed nation in the world. There are various schemes like Skill India, Make in India, Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMGEP), Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Protsahan Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal VikasYojana play an important role in this.

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship was formed in 2014 by the government. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal VikasYojana was launched in 2015, its aims to develop the skill of the youth and make them self-employed. But there were many obstacles to the success of this scheme.But before the scheme began, there was no pre-assessment done of the requirement of the industries and this kind of skills wasprovided to youth, resulting in a total mismatch when the scheme was launched.

The level of training being provided was below standard and not of the highest quality.

MNREGA is a law in our country that guarantees 100 days of employment to everyone in rural areas, though in one hand, the agricultural sector is not able to bear the pressure and on the other hand, people are not required to have the skills required for other jobs. The concept of inclusive development isthe growth of people of all sections of society, castes and communities. Therefore, it is essential to rise the public expenditure and services on education and health and special attention is paid on employment generation.

Job Opportunities – Though there are many attempts made to increase employment for youths but they are being unemployed and jobless even after numerous attempts. India should focus on this matter and make more efforts to decease it.

Rape cases in India – Our country known as “Bharat Mata” has celebrating the Independence Day every year but this country hasn’t been completely independent as it has witnessed most of the horrid actswhich will make you tremble.

• Kathua Rape case

A young eight years, innocent girl was brutally raped and for days she was drugged later tortured and then got killed in the temple. She went missing and after a week her body was recovered from a Rasana forest. The reason for this gruesome act was to chase out the migrants away from the area.

• Father ‘Gifts’ daughter to friends

A man gifted his daughter to his friends and later he joined with them to gang-rape her. The police says, the accused (father) along with his daughter visiting a nearby fair. After attending the fair the accused calls his friend Maan Singh. He along few of his friends convinced the girl to ride with them and took her to the house of another friend, Meraj. The girl’s father gave her to his friends, they gang-raped her. For 18 hours, she was trapped there. When she escaped, he narrated her story to her mother and police. Later on the same day an FIR was registered. 

• Thirteen years raped nine years old

The most shocking news, 13 years old raped a 9 years old girl at Uttar Pradesh. He lured the girl by giving her a silver ring. According to Police,  the girl was home alone when this crime was committed.

• Ten years raped on wedding-day

A 25 year man raped and killed ten years old man. He lured away from everyone eyes and raped her during wedding. He later smashed her head onto a stone an killed her. The corpse of the girl found nearby a river in the village. 

• Girl raped in Assam

In Nagaon in Assam, 11 years-old-girl was home alone while her parents were out working in the fields she was raped and burnt alive. When the parents came back home saw their daughter burnt completely. A 21-years-old and two minor were involved in this gruesome crime and later they both were arrested by the police.

• Four month Baby raped

The nation has hung it head in shame, after the occurrence of the incident that took place in Indore. The toddler was found dead in the basement of the Shiv Vilas Palace, the blood smudges on stairways tells the tale of horrified incident. Police were in verge of tears seeing the case; the suspect was a member of family.

• Eighteen men held raping of twelve year girl

These eighteen men worked as plumber, security guards and lift operators in apartment block where the girl lived. Their age ranges from 23 years to 66 years. They would wait for the girl to come home and beat her first and then take her to an isolated area and then rape her.The police said that they would tie a belt around her neck, cover her eyes before raping her. They would sometimes inject or mix drugs in soft drinks before raping the girl.

Havoc was erupted outside the Chennai court, when the men were brought for hearing. They were beaten and by a group of lawyers after their hearing.A local lawyer states to media that they refuse to allow any of their member to represent them on court.

• Teenage girl raped and burnt alive

The teenage girl was home alone when the accused raped her. She told him that she will tell her family about rape. He took the step to burn her alive. A 28 year old Ravi was suspect and arrested by Police.

New Delhi has earned a new title “Rape Capital of the world.”  Even after, Nirbhaya case and Asifa rape case there seem to be more cases and no changes. The case of rape is piling up. Film Sanju is the most anticipated biopic film of Sanjay Dutt’s life.

Ever since the trailer appeared on YouTube, it had created a buzz upon people; everyone was stunned of seeing Kapoor’s resemblance with Sanjay not just by looks but also in physical form. Reports say that, it has become one of the biggest premiers ever in Bollywood industry.

The audience surprised with his out-standing performance in the film.His efforts and hardwork were paid off. After a record-breaking week, it has entered to the 100 crore club, it was even moreappreciated than his previous film. Audience have embraced both Sanjay and Kapoor; the followers, critics and IMDb rated it 9.2/10.

On Friday Film Sanju had the most sensational opening staring Ranbir Kapoor playing the role of ‘Sanju’ featuring Paresh Rawal as Sanjay’s father, Vicky Kaushal, Sonam Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, KarishmaTanna and Anushka Sharma in essential characters. Sanjay Dutt also played a cameo in the film.Rajkumar Hirani has carefully unveiled the ups and downs of Dutt’scareer from film to jail and personal life through Ranbir Kapoor, who has beautifully exhibited it during the course of the movie. In Sanju, Hirani justified RanbirDutt’slife throughRK’s performance and understanding.

He managed to make the audience feel the emotions of the character of Sanju in the film. In the end audiencecame to love the picture.For RK, playing Dutt’syouth life was tough for him and even to play the phase where he loses his mother wasn’t easy.During a press meet, Salman Khan states his opinion, that Dutt should have himself played the role of Sanju in later years of the character, on this Hirani defends by saying that it would seem strange and weird as the audience would  feel disconnected if half of the film played by Ranbir and rest by Sanjay. Dia Mirza also mentioned that Dutt’s unwillingness to act in the film as it would be awakward to see Dutt feature himself and he is very shy.

Vidhu Vinod, the producer of Film Sanju thought of Ranveer Singh to play the role of Sanjay Dutt but Hirani chose Ranbir. At first he wasn’t sure of Hirani’s choice but later when they began the shooting, he realised the director was indeed did the right choice and in end Ranbir became Sanjay. Rajkumar Hirani showed Sanju’s life in an emotional manner, the first chapter of film shows the drug addict part of Dutt and shocking revelation of his early life.Hirani while intermingling with a TV channel, he revealed that at first he was afraid, he said that he had shown everything in the biopic but Sanjay not once came to the shooting and saw it himself, he was afraid that Dutt might hit him. During the screenplay of the film, Hirani was observing Dutt’s reaction closely.

By the end of the film, Dutt cried on him and Ranbir’s shoulder.In Great Britain Censor’s broad, have some issues regard the film; they say non-adults below the age of 15 are not allowed to watch the film in Sanju in Great Britain. The reason for them to do so is the drug mentions, drug misuses and strong sex references in the film.

Hirani in his every film doesn’t fail to create an emotional bond with the audience whether is romance or comedy he in the end manages to many his viewers cry. Just like his other movies, he made the viewers understand the quote made in trailer of the film “Main bewrahoon, tharkihoon, drug addict hoon, sab hoon but terrorist nahihoon.’’

Ant-Hero movie Venom – Marvel has created many super heroes like as Spiderman, Deadpool, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, Wolverine, Thor, Ghost Rider, Dr. Strange, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, Daredevil, and Ironman in comic books and cartoons.

Marvel Entertainment has reformed and reconstructed the excitement once again by reviving from cartoon and comic books to movies.

Super-teams such as the Avengers, The X-Men, The Fantastic Four, The Guardians of Galaxy has successfully portrayed the character in their movies. It isn’t just filled with heroes but also embraces super villains like Doctor Doom, Red Skull, Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Magneto, Loki and Venom. Most of the Marvel stories and characters are based in New York City and they have been able to recapture them magnificently.

Ruben Fleischer who is the director of Zombie Land and Gangster Squad directed the movie ‘Venom’ staring Tom Hardy as the lead role in it.

It was first seen in the movie Spiderman 3 in 2007. When its trailer was released it has created a buzz among people as this going to be an anti-hero story. It has scored 64 million views in YouTube creating a landmark.

In Spiderman (2007) Eddie Brock wasa reporter very much like Peter Parker. He would go to any extent to fabricate a story and was immensely jealous of Peter.His anger made him well-matched for the alien symbiote. In the trailer, Eddie works as a reporter but it is little unclear whether he works as a freelancer or for a local news station. There are other things which made the Venom appeared different from the 2007 one.

In the previous one, the alien doesn’t speak when it possessed Peter but in the present one, this entity speaks to Eddie and has a mind of its own.

The story spinsaround Tom Hardy, who plays the role of Eddie Brock a reporter who’s hell-bent to uncover the illegal experimentations of a company; but due to some an unfortunate incidents, he is possessed by alien entity which was held there. The symboite gives him unbelievable power, which led to his changing behaviour and looks. The teaser starts by Hardy’s narration “Everyone’s got their thing. Maybe it’s a breakup, a death, an accident. Whatever it is, you used to be one thing, and now you’re something else. We all have our own problems, our own issues, our own… demons.”We also seeEddie tries to negotiate with entity, but the entity clearly has other ideas“The way I see it, we can do whatever we want. Do we have a deal?”We also see Brock constantly wrestling with dark thoughts and we see an inner battle between his moral values with the blood lust ideas of Venom.

Venom is something that is unknown, unstable, strong, violent, powerful, dreadful and wicked. I believe Venom is going to beas a standalone film, as it mostly centres on Eddie’s life and how he struggles with dark entity in this long run of the film. When Sona Mohapatra sung ‘Rangabati’ on MTV Coke Studio, she received many criticisms from the Odia audience, as it was the fusion of aSambalpuri song and it was originally sung by Jitendria Harpal and Krishna Patel, which was aired on All India Radio. Other song ‘Tori Sutra’ became debatable topic; Madiyar Sufi Foundation threatened Mohapatra to remove the video from all the mediums because, they claim that the video is vulgar and will raise communal strains. But this wasn’t the end at all. They also viewed ‘Piya Se Niana’ they say that it is  aninsult to Islam by as she wore revealing dress during the song.

The vocalist has created anotherhassle with her latest songwhich is the fusion of an epical Odia Bhajan ‘AheNilaSaila’, which was posted on YouTube and Twitter. It is originally written by a renowned Odia poet, who is a devotee of Lord Jagannath. By doing so, she disturbed a bee hive by mispronouncing few words wrong. She pronounced ‘Salabega’ as ‘Salebega’, ‘Charana’ as ‘Charane’, and ‘Maatra’ as ‘Matta’.When it was dotted on social media, she was strolled by many Odias and literary associations. She gave her statement to a local TV channel that, ‘There is no controversy actually. A conversation maybe and one that helps us grow and evolve as artists, humans and as a society. Let’s not make everything controversy.’

Pabitra Maharatha, convener of Odia Bhasa Andolan says that, the way in which Sona has sung the song has ridicule Lord Jagannath, she has damagedodia race and its culture. Shyamamani Devi, an odissi singer, expresses her displeasure towards the vocalist she says, she can experiment with songs but has no right to utter words wrong. A Police complaint was filed against Sona in Puri, Odisha by an outfit called SachetanaNagrika Mancha for distorting Odia words wrong.

In her defence, Niranjan Patnaik says, ‘She is neither born in Odisha nor can read the language, still sings Odia songs and Bhajans. She might have pronounced few words of the song. No one comes out to protest when the Head Chief himself distorts the language and is known for vulgar pronunciations. Why should a singer be targeted? Debahuti Mohapatra, a fan says that, ‘God has given you the potential to represent the Odisha and expose its treasure to the rest of the world.’ DilipMallick principal of the Engineering College near Cuttack says that ‘Her presentation of Odia song resembles to English Pop songs which is an innovation itself. A pronunciation mistake is not a matter of discussion as 90 per cent Odia people do not speak with correct pronunciations.”

Sona Mohapatra controversy – Remixes are also part of music. An artist’s job is to make songs and we should leave it upon the audience and the listeners, whether they should like it or not.

He is known as one of the most commended filmmaker of 21st Century. He makes mostly path-breaking films, which is appreciated by both the audience and fans. From his movieMunnabhai M.B.B.S to P.K, Hirani succeeded in making people shed tears and laugh at the same time. Sanju is the most anticipatedbiopic that covers the whole gamut of Sanjay Dutt’s life.The posters and teasers have ignitedthe audience’s interest. The trailer showcases various stages of his life.

The trailer has created havoc amongst the social media and audience. People couldn’t stop praising Ranbir andHirani on internet. In an interview, Hirani said that, story-telling was a challenge as most biopics are based on gallant personality yet Dutt is known for tragedies and sufferings.

So, script was the main challenge, as it should fit character without any alteration.The film captures Dutt’s implausible life.

The lead roleis played by Ranbir Kapoor. He worked hard to play the role of Sanju, it took him almost 6 to 7 weeks to get into Dutt’seach different looks. Kapoor got a month break to complete his transformation. The process was difficult for him to look like a well-built man as he was originally thinner in shape. His effort made him seem like Dutt in the end. Hirani revealed that Kapoor had videos of how Sanju looked in olden years. When the trailer first made its appearance on social media sites, fans couldn’t help but talk about Ranbir’s excellent acting.

There are few other more lead actors, who are in the movie such as Manisha Koirala who plays the role of (Sanjay’s mother) Nargis Dutt and Dia Mirza as Maanayatta Dutt, Anushka Sharma as News Reporter and Sonam Kapoor as Tina Minum or one of his many girlfriends, Paresh Rawal as (Dutt’s father) Sunil Dutt, Vicky Kaushal as Sanjay’s best friend and Jim Sarbha.

Rishi Kapoor after viewing the trailer says that he couldn’t recognise his own son, who has beenplaying the role of Dutt in the movie. Priya Dutt, Sanjay Dutt’s sister had the same reaction, she says that she loved the way Ranbir represented her brother. You would also see a powerful father-son relationship in the film. When RajkumarHirani selected Ranbir for the role SajayDutt as Sanju many assumed that he couldn’t pull it off, many believed that it would be a suicide mission and also they both have nothing in common in between them. Now, he looks mind-blowing.

When the trailer made its first appearance on social media sites fans couldn’t help but talk about Ranbir’s excellent acting and the trailer buzzes off by saying “Main bewra hoon, tharki hoon, drug addict hoon, sab hoon but terrorist nahi hoon.’’ It gained more than 30 million viewers within 48 hours and 150 million viewers flooding social media platforms. This is the most awaited movie f 2018 and it isn’t just any movie but the most controversial life of the ‘Bad Boy of Bollywood cinema. Unlike any other biography made, that depicts heroism in the end but this film isn’t about heroism or villainise but a rollercoaster ride of Dutt from his college days till release from the jail.

This will be released on 29th June and I bet all the Sanjay fans will come to watch it.

Nipah virus (NiV) is one of the rarest and deadliest known viruses ever.

It belongs to the group of Paramyoxide in class of Henipavirus. This virus was first recognized when an epidemic broke out in Malaysia and Singapore in 1999; when suddenly pig farmers and people fell ill when they get too close with pigs.

In 2001 Siliguri (West Bengal, India), Nipah affected 66 people and 45 people died. It happened again in 2011 Bangladesh, where 56 people were affected and 50 people died. In Nadia district West Bengal, 50 cases of Nipah virus were suspected with 3-5 victims. There were at least eight outbreaks in Bangladesh; patients were mostly were hospital staff visitors, showing person-to-person transmission. In Inida. People were affected by drinking raw date palm sap.

The name ‘Nipah’ is originated from ‘Sungai Nipah’ a village situated in Malaysian Peninsula.

Currently this disease is killing many people in Kozhikode district of Kerala, the southern-western part of India. Nipah rarely infects people but when people are affected it makes them feel very sick. The victim begins to experience fever, headaches, vomiting and fainting, it last for 10 to 12 days. The infection spread to our internal organs making them dysfunctional. The victim fall into coma and at the final stage when brain develops swelling, the victim faces death. This can be both dangerous and fatal and can also cause long-term disabilities too. It is said that this deadly illness is spread through bats to animals through fruit bites. This happens when people’s stock fruits or vegetables which are bitten by bats. It is believed that bat’s saliva or urine or faeces gets mixed up and when it is consume, people get infected. Now, Nipah is spreading has cross border from Kerala to Karnataka killing 11.

In Bangladesh and India, this disease has spread through date palm sap which is very sweet. The people harvest date palm sap, which they sell as a drink similar to sugarcane juice. The bats are addicted to sweet, so it licks the sap and later the people drink the same sap and get infected. Unlike any flue or diseases that goes from person to person this virus affects to those people who are very closer to suffers. The virus is spreading virally and has killed numerous people in Kerala which also has affects the nurse who looks after the patients. It is said that, fourteen people died in Kozhikode district in Kerala with viral fever. Nine others including some family members who have interacted with them are under treatment at government and private hospitals. Some are undergoing treatment at the Government Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode and the Baby Memorial Hospital, Kozhikode.

According to World Health Organization (WHO) people who are affected by this virus, several times they don’t show any symptoms of it and it becomes impossible to detect how it happened. A report says that there is no vaccine for prevention or cure from the Nipah Virus.

World Health Organization has asked researchers to work on Nipah Vaccine and treatments.

The series of death due to Nipah virus increased at an alarming rate and to avoid this tourist stopped coming to Kerala – which was highly affected by this virus. The tourists were afraid that they will also become the victim of this unidentified virus, which has no cure. This infection is lethal and there has not been any treatment discovered for it, I would suggest you to follow a few feasible steps to shield yourself from being infected;

• We should check our stock and preserve them properly.
• Do not eat fruits bitten by bats or any birds or other animals.
• Avoid any kind of contact from animals.
• Avoid close or frequent contact with an infected person.
• Always wash your hands properly after interacting with infected people.
• Don’t share room, utensils, clothes used by the infected persons.
• Always wear a mask while tending patients
• Do not drink water from areas where bats are found in large numbers.
• Keep your household well-covered.
• Eat fruits after washing them properly.

Kamakhya Devi is famous as a bleeding goddess and also known as the Goddess of Desires.
