Real-time data is the transformative factor in cricket betting because it delivers valuable information throughout matches. The days when pre-match predictions and historical statistics were the only betting grounds have permanently ended. Real-time scores, along with live ball commentary and fresh player statistics, enable modern bettors to make better-informed betting choices.

Understanding the Role of Real-Time Data in Cricket Betting

Bettors who want to maintain their lead in dynamic cricket matches depend on accurate information available in real time. The gold league live score maintains its essential role in tracking match developments, including fast-paced partnerships and quick wicket losses that change the game’s momentum. People who stay informed can better understand match developments while instantly modifying their betting strategies.

Practical users can take advantage of operating platforms and mobile applications that integrate scoreboards alongside player statistics and data prediction features. Real-time data stands available for your betting needs via popular sports and crypto-friendly platforms such as ESPNcricinfo, Cricbuzz, and those designed for crypto betting. The available resources provide bettors with up-to-date information that helps them make swift, confident betting decisions.

Did the pitch become more suitable for bowlers in the second inning of bowling conditions?

Does a star batter encounter difficulty when facing spinning deliveries? Real-time data answers important betting questions that lead to smarter betting choices. Through the integration of live scores along with in-game analytics, users can base their choices on skillful strategy instead of relying on luck.

The Advantages of Adapting Your Betting Strategy Mid-Match

Cricket stands among the most exciting betting sports because of its unpredictability; however, you must adapt your strategies throughout games. Real-time data powers mid-match betting, which provides bettors with multiple distinct benefits.

Momentum can shift within minutes. The quick succession of wicket losses by one team combined with a bowler’s consistent regularity can cause total match direction to completely change. Live streaming data lets bettors customize their betting methods instantaneously when they spot changing conditions.

The key to successful betting requires avoiding typical mistakes. Betting decisions become impulsive when someone overreacts to small match developments that result in a single wicket or boundary. Betters who succeed concentrate on long-term trends instead of discrete moments by allowing statistical information to make logical selections instead of letting passion dictate their decisions.

How Real-Time Data Enhances Predictive Accuracy

Real-time data offers more than simple updates because it helps refine prediction accuracy. You must grasp the ongoing changes in the matches to make successful cricket bets. A game’s momentum adjusts significantly during just a few balls yet becomes more foreseeable through real-time data.

Once a team starts a target chase, their probability of victory diminishes, notably after multiple quick eliminations of important players. The real-time data enables you to evaluate how changing match patterns affect betting odds so you can make decisions based on actual match conditions.

Visual data presentation helps users make better decisions with their data. Online wagering systems provide visual representations, including predictive win likelihood data alongside run-rate statistical patterns, that streamline complicated statistical analysis. The tools provide structured insights that support critical decisions even during rushed moments.

Key Benefits of Real-Time Data for Cricket Bettors

Real-time data delivers crucial information about cricket betting that static analysis methods cannot duplicate. The data exposes the hidden shifts in match dynamics, thus allowing bettors to gain an advantage. Through live information access, vendors make decisions based on current developments rather than outdated ideas about sudden player form instabilities or sudden momentum differences.

Some of the key advantages include:

Spotting player trends: Real-time match data shows consistent player performance changes, such as bowlers taking control of batters or adjusting their play during matches. Using real-time data, you can adjust your bets precisely because you can assess current player form instead of relying on pre-match statistics.

Reacting to momentum shifts: Cricket momentum transforms rapidly during just several minutes. Live data detection of these shifts enables you to notice sudden partnership stability during innings, allowing quick betting on new game outcomes.

Minimizing risks: Opportunities to minimize risks through hedging bets plus cash-outs emerge with instant updating information about changing game conditions. The strategy minimizes financial losses yet preserves available profit opportunities.

Relying on accurate, timely updates allows you to move from speculative betting to a more calculated, skill-based approach, maximizing your chances of success in every match.

The Impact of Technology on Real-Time Data in Cricket Betting

Modern technology enables betting enthusiasts to access and utilize real-time data throughout cricket matches in completely new ways. Users gain unmatched insights into every game element through live streaming AI-driven analytics and integrated statistics dashboards. The tools enhance both the speed of information delivery and its precision.

Modern ball-tracking systems combined with advanced algorithms produce specific predictive analytics about run rate forecasts and wicket probability outcomes. Bettors now access real-time data through mobile applications, so they never need to miss an opportunity.

Bettors receive urgent odds shift alerts and essential match event notifications through personalized alert systems that enable quick betting responses. Through interactive visualizations of data, analysts have enhanced their ability to interpret statistics, which leads to better-informed, timely decisions.

Responsible Betting and Ethical Use of Real-Time Data

Real-time data helps improve betting strategies, yet bettors must handle this information sensibly. During live updates, bettors must maintain spending limits and avoid pursuing lost money despite tempting opportunities to “recover.”

Fairness in data usage demands that we avoid taking advantage of openings that might jeopardize sporting integrity. Real-time data, knowledge, discipline, and patience create success in cricket betting.

All kinds of birds say something or the other that nature and humans can realize. Such a wonderful feeling can be achieved from the chirping of the cricket insect. The chirping of the insect can help to learn and predict nature. If you count the cricket chirps, the insect you can easily find the rise and decrease in the temperature.

Reason why Cricket acts as a thermometer

Yes, they can be believed to be a living thermometers, that can indicate the changes in temperature of a day. The insect starts tweeting at a low rate, if you can clearly hear them in the early morning they are slow while as the temperature increases in the afternoon they chatter faster. The reason is the relaxation in the muscles of the insect. Different reactions in the body due to the changes in the weather lead to bring a difference which makes them a sensible indicator as a thermometer.

The colder the weather, you can realize in the early morning or during the winters. The chirping of the crickets is slower. But during the summer afternoon, the chirps raises. You can easily calculate and find out by recording the chirps for 15 seconds.

During the cold days, you may not listen to the sounds as they need the environmental or atmospheric temperature to react.

Cricket chirps more frequently on warmer days

The frequency during the warmer days is high. They can easily communicate and humans can listen to them. When tweeting at low frequencies does not reach the human ears, therefore it is essential to reach 20 – 20,000Khz. Hereby when crickets can make a higher chirp it is the ears that can listen and count them.

One can easily recognize the chattering of the cricket as it is unique. Each one of the same species of insect has different noises. As they may be slightly or entirely different in the texture of their body, the sounds also differ. But despite the distinctive sounds, the frequency of the insect’s chirping is easily predictable.

Cricket is a kind of insect that continuously carries on chirping. It can be for the vibration or noises on the that it realizes and starts to make a noise. They keep silent when they find any predator nearing them.

Temperature at which the cricket chirps

Cricket is such an insect that chirps almost throughout the day. But as it reaches the highest frequency one can listen to them and find out the temperature of a day by calculation. They are never tired of tweeting unless it is cold weather or they can sense predators roaming around. You may also hear them chirping at night but rare unless the temperature is excess to bring a chemical reaction to their body.

Cricket chirps are natural sources of finding out the temperature. When around in nature one does not need any device to know about the temperature when the insects chirp nearby.

There are not one but many games and sports that are invented. The primary stage of sports has turned to new forms with additions of techniques and forms to improve as the techniques of sports changed. Making for the players to enjoy and implement better ways to create interest for the viewers and players.

In early times sports were for free times and entertainment apart. When people could spend leisure practicing and playing on the grounds. There were less or no audiences but over time there has been a massive change in gaining popularity and powers together.

It could be hardly believed that people can be paid high for the sports they play. They will be paid for their travels while from one country to another.

Ancient sports was less about teamwork

The beginning of the sports was all about archery, weapons, and masters in fight or wrestling. Whenever sports started it was less about teamwork and more between two people. Bravery and master are the two appraisals that were more important in sports along with intelligence. Over time there have been changes within 18 the century.

Sports introduced to cricket, soccer, ice skating, golf, and many others that were restricted to high-class people who wanted to spend playing during their leisure time. Slowly the interest developed in common people and with the introduction of sports clubs, different competitions and friendly games provided scopes to neutrally. Later with the support of the government, the sports and players flourished with new developments. Olympics that gives opportunities to 33 sports now in which hundreds of players participate. International games are played in different events apart from the national games. No longer it is a local game that was for leisure and friendly games as sports changed.

As Sports changed it is now a profession, not leisure

Sportsmen play professionally, they are highly trained, with the followed chart of routines related to fitness, nutrition, and health. Award and honor were present even during the ancient sports but the difference arises with the different introduction of events. Each event has expertise who play professionally and earn a job and salary for their commitment to their expertise.

Earlier expertise in any kind of profession or job could play sports, it can be for leisure or a reason of interest. At no place, do they have any mentor to guide them? They did not need to maintain their fitness for playing as a profession, as it was a part of a fun and refreshment activity.

Sports in the modern world

Sports has not only given name and fame worldwide but the success is unpredictable. Top players are found to rank among the richest persons. Audiences or spectators have to purchase tickets at prices that may be a salary of a day. Sports in the modern world have changed over time that pays the highest and it is growing with profitability. Many skilled and good players at an early age can easily divert themselves to their field of interest. Cultural influence is not new, it was seen several decades ago that remains in the modern world.

This article is posted by Gaurav dev

As we are in the 21st century and everything is becoming modified and more stylish. Everyone is trying to become different and extra skillful than others. As similar, the competition in cricket is touching the sky. Who proves himself to be different from others will go get the chance and he must show they different shots than other

In this healthy competition, some of those got their success and make their name in the diary of Indian cricket history.

Inside Out

Inside Out Shot

When a bowler bowls a delivery close to the leg stump and batsman shift towards they leg side and hit the bowl to the off side this is an inside out shot. As they definition is heard is as heard as to play. But this shot make simpler by an Indian batsman like a Suresh Raina, Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli. They play an shot very elegantly. Meanly this types of shot is been played by an Asian player as the bowl never get that much height. So that’s why Inside Out is an identity of an Indian player.

Upper cut

Upper Cut Shot

You might say this shot is very common in cricket but you know what ! This is a signature shot of ‘Master Blaster’. Cricket expert says that Upper Cut shot was invented by they Sachin Tendulkar. But we don’t know the fact ! But we know this when ever expert have an debate on this Master Blaster must be there in top. Now a days lot’s of new talent using Upper cut to open up a run. But they inventor of they shot is a Indian.

Actually not only they Upper Cut but also Sachin have lot’s of shots in his pocket such as no fielder have answer of his Street Drive.

Pull shot

Pull shot

Rohit Sharma they one of world’s best Pull hitter. why so? The reason is very clear ! When a spacer come’s with his full speed and hit the bowl to his shoulder region Ro-hit just simply take a time and pull the bowl in stand.

Expert says that he has lot’s of time on pitch for pull shot. It’s not 100% correct that Ro-hit is top pull hitter but it’s defiantly correct that he must be there in that top list. World have an lot’s of pull hitter such as Ricky Ponting, Pitterson and Sir Vivan Richardson “But they class of Ro-hit is totally different by they other one” said by Akash Chopra.

Helicopter shot

Helicopter Shot

This shot eventually change they mind of cricket fan and start they stylist era. As they inventor of helicopter shot is none another than Captain Cool. Who look cool but hit too heard shot . As according to the movie “they untold story” his childhood friend teaches him an Helicopter shot. But it doesn’t matter it has been written in cricket book history that the inventor of helicopter shot is MS Dhoni. Time to time many player try this shot and they got pass also. But they cricket universe knows that history of helicopter shot is begins with they Captain Cool

Those are they cricketing shot which make they identity of Indian player

You know, they post pictures t0 promote brands etc. Do you think they do it for free? Absolutely NOT. Let me tell you, they make a lot of money. Remember, we had discussed how Kardashians make money through Instagram post? Guess what?

They’re not the only one making money out there. It seems, the more your Followers, the more big deal you are.

For us, Instagram is just like any other app. We post pictures, then our FRIENDS like it, some even leave comments and that’s it, the story ends. But, celebs have it another way i.e. they post pictures and with every like, you help them make money. Celebrities actually get paid by brands for posting their product on Instagram.

It is a smart online marketing tool.

Whenever a celeb post pictures, FANS are obviously excited to know what it is. It is a smart way of advertisement that brands use through celebs.

Now talking about Virat Kohli, please get ready to be surprised.

Virat is looking good in this one, agree?

With every single post, Virat Kohli earns 3.2 Crore. I repeat, 3.2 Crore. Virat Kohli has total 16 Million Followers on Instagram. Until now, his “sponsor branded posts” are 62. According to Forbes, he is the only highest paid Indian athlete who makes so much money per post. So the next time he uploads any picture promoting a brand, do remember the money he’s getting for doing that.

Money Virat Kohli Earns : Isn’t that amazing? Earning money per post can actually make you rich. Virat Kohli is totally taking advantage and is making money.

With his retirement, the golden era of Indian cricket is over.

A group of highly skilled and passionate cricketers, who formed one of the best line-ups in world, helped take Indian cricket to new heights that resulted in the team’s unprecedented rise to attain the numero uno status in Tests for the first time in 2009.

By the time India reached the top spot in test ranking in 2009, Sourav Ganguly and Anil Kumble had already hung their boots. A few years later, in 2012, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman retired. A year later, Sachin Tendulkar decided to quit international cricket. With Sehwag’s departure from international cricket, the golden era of Indian cricket is now a piece of history.

These players, now iconic figures in Indian cricket, gave wings to the imagination of every cricket fan in the country, entertained cricket viewers around the world, brought grace and dignity to the sport and gave us sweet memories to last forever.

Not often do you come across such brilliance in one team. If one has to find similar quality in one line-up, Australian team under Steve Waugh and Ricky Ponting would certainly quality. Apart from that, no other team would possibly qualify from that era.

The best part of the Indian team in the last decade and half is that it had a mix of everything that a cricket lover could ask for. When they played, they were like classical music – rich, profound and in perfect rhythm. They lifted the team when needed, complemented each other well and at the same time were successful in creating their own niche.

Though they had separate and distinct styles, they were bound by the passion and love for cricket. Sachin Tendulkar was the god, the supremo, a person who did who could do wrong on a cricket field. Rahul Dravid was the silent protector – much like the Batman – who possessed great technique and temperament. Sourav Ganguly was a fighter, a man of steel, and one of the finest captains India ever had. V.V.S. Laxman was a poet with the bat. His every shot played with wrist was poetry in motion. Anil Kumble was a fighter and a fierce competitor. However, the one who had no similarity with the rest was Virender Sehwag. He is supremely talented and rewrote the rules and grammar of batsmanship with exceptional audacity and amazing skills.

It was through their great skills and cricketing acumen, the team earned great respect both on and off the field. It was a combined effort of the team and individual belief that culminated in India gaining No. 1 status in Test cricket and winning the world cup in 2011.

The records tell the story of their enormous achievements. But these men are worth a lot more then what the numbers show. Besides being great cricketers, they have been wonderful ambassadors of cricket. They added immense value of the sport and left the fans with opportunities to tell stories that their grand kid would be hearing in years to come.

It is not every day that a team full of such youngsters and players who are in and out of the team come together as a unit and give a stunning performance like this.

What exactly happened here? What changed?

There will be a detailed analysis obviously and the team management is going to find out what actually worked so that the same formula can be repeated in future as well. Next test match series is with South Africa and that will be the real challenge. But let’s first focus on how things have worked out at the moment and have that somehow made M S Dhoni irrelevant to the team?

First of all, it is all about Virat Kohli’s persona, charisma and the aggressiveness that has rubbed on his team members. Most of them are around his age and somehow can relate to his body language as well as mental attitude. The hunger for winning a match has somehow been clearly visible. Instead of being passive and trying to avoid losing a match, the players seemed in a mindset to go out and conquer the world! The fear of losing is out and passion for winning is in! Whether it is Ishant Sharma who bowled his heart out or Amit Mishra’s come back with such a beautiful spell or Ashwin’s phenomenal performance, the credit goes to them as much as to their captain Kohli who has been able to support them and give them the freedom to give their best.

With Dhoni, the team looked jaded, tired and in a reclusive mode even before the match started. It used to look as if they were touring to draw the series or to save their face, instead of showing the mindset to win. Also, Dhoni’s tactics in a test-match usually looked defensive instead of attacking or aggressive, the way he acts in a one-day match or T20!

It is just one series and the jury is still out whether the same set of boys can repeat this feat against stronger and tougher teams like South Africa, England and Australia, but the change is in the air. Dhoni is definitely an amazing captain and player in one-dayers, but the kind of change Virat is bringing in, would it be possible for the boys to perform under two different captains in two different formats of the game? Would they be able to give their best in one-days the way they performed in test matches? How would the team composition change under different captains?

All these questions will pose a challenge for Indian cricket per se and it would be interesting to see how Dhoni copes up with the changed dressing room! We still need Dhoni, but going by the trends, soon he may not be missed much!

Better days are ahead, for sure!

But can you imagine someone who has represented his country in the most loved sports, cricket riding a cab?

One post doing the rounds on social media sites is truly shocking.

Whenever you hear about retired sportsperson, you know one day he’ll be probably be a coach or commentator, or doing something other than what Arshad Khan is currently doing.

Not demeaning other profession but certainly this is not what you can expect ever.

On Monday, a social media user, Ganesh Birle, shared his experience of meeting Arshad Khan in a rather unexpected place.

He shared,“He was the driver of our cab and we started chatting, he told me that he is from Pakistan and lives in Sydney. Also that he has been to Hyderabad many times when he was playing for Lahore Badshahs something in ICL. After which I asked him his full name and then I was shocked to see his face which I could partially recognise. I shook has his hand and left. ”

“He was avoiding the conversation all the time, but at the same time he couldn’t help but talk about his India connection. Imagine he introduced himself as ‘I from Pakistan but I have been here in Sydney for long time now’. Also like a good Uber driver he offered us water and stuff when we sat in the car.”

This incident throws some light on the plight of low-profile retired cricketers.

He also shared..

Arshad Khan made his debut for Pakistan in 1997-98 against West Indies and went on to play nine Tests and 58 ODIs.

We can’t comment on the circumstances of the retired cricketer as of now, but we hope we get to know his side of story too.

What do you have to say being a cricket lover?

Is this what our sportsperson deserve?

Don’t forget to leave your comments and tell us what do you think about this news.

Salute to Arshad Khan for his honesty and hard work!

I’m also sailing in your boat and can totally understand the plight of my fellow travellers whose brain is welded in a different manner altogether!

However, I seriously wish that our society, our family and friends understood this!

How badly they want us all to become doctors and engineers and follow the same profession that everyone else is aspiring to be in! Try to imagine a situation where every boy and girl becomes a doctor.

Who will treat whom?

Who will charge money from whom?

Who will cook, who will clean, who will do farming, who will run things that can’t be run by doctors?

Are you getting the drift guys?

Since childhood every person we meet advises us to become doctors and engineers, no matter where our interest lies! Then the whole system of education prepares you to be this learning-by-rote parrot that by the time you are an adult you tend to forget that the area between two ears is used for thinking and imagining and consists of something called a brain! By the time we realize it, we are past the basic education stage and then it becomes harder to re-educate or go for higher education given perpetual time, money and resource deficit!

Therefore, it is very nice to not to be able to score great marks in science and math. That way, your parents will leave any hopes they had on you of pursuing MBBS or some other field related to science. A huge monkey goes off your back once it is proved by your school and teachers and everyone who meets you that you’re not so intelligent and might not be able to cope up with rigorous of medicine field or an engineering stream. A life is saved!

Firstly, your life is saved from doing something that you don’t want to do and secondly of scores of ordinary fellow citizens who might have become your patients if you indeed somehow did become a doctor! Imagine someone wanting to be a cricketer and pushed to become a doctor. He might throw a bouncer inside a patient while conducting the heart transplant or a guy wanting to be an architect might play around with a patient’s interiors for aesthetic values!

That might have been over the top, but the point is sometimes it does pays for not being so blessed with higher IQ! This is not to say that those wanting and really deserving and dreaming to become doctors and engineers should leave their dreams aside and pursue something else. No, it is just that parents and society shouldn’t force every child to pursue only one kind of profession. Everyone is different and there are a lot of possibilities in this world to earn money, make name while following your heart!

Go ahead and prove your intelligence in fields where your heart lies!

And say thanks to not so intelligent people to be pushed into the doctor-engineer-making factory!

However, in the past two decades the gentlemen’s game has shifted its centre of attraction from England and Australia to India. Rightly so, for it finds its biggest audience group in Asia, especially in a billion-plus population of our nation!

As the game has grown by leaps and bounds in past two decades as far as its financials are concerned, so have the controversies surrounding it. Never before in the history of the game has it been maligned so badly, not only in India, but across the world.

The long format of the game, the tests, is dying a slow death anyways and all possible plans to revive it, including the world cup of the tests, lie in a trash! Then comes the one-dayers and again money is doing the big talk here. Instead of involving more and more nations into active competition, International Cricket Council (ICC) is restricting the big tournaments only between the eight major cricket playing nations so that a regular stream of revenue is maintained. Their logic is that a match between a big team and minnows doesn’t get enough eyeballs so there is no point in planning a series! How lame is that idea? If a minor team is not given opportunities, how is it going to grow and learn?

If that is not enough, IPL in India is generating enough amount of news for all the match-fixing and scandals associated with it. Add to it Mr. Lalit Modi’s latest revelation of creating an alternative cricket authority of the world that’ll align itself with the Olympic movement and will only have Tests and T20s associated with it!

So multiple leagues, limited cricket playing nations, host of controversies and everyone eying the same revenue stream! It is like everyone is out there to kill the goose that lay golden eggs!

No doubt cricket is a rich sport even if it is played in just a few countries, but if it is exploited like this, how long will the sport retain its charm? The fans are already getting disillusioned by all the scandals and all the politics surrounding it. That is one reason why other sports like Football, Hockey, Kabaddi etc. are gaining importance and fan base in India! It is good for sports to have fans that love all kinds of games, but if they are losing interest in one sport due to wrongdoings of a few, then it is a sad state of affairs!

It is high time that all the different voices go silent; there should only be one voice, one uniform view about the development of sport and all the parties involved be it the administration, players or fans, work only towards preserving and nurturing the sport that has been entertaining us for a century now!

Read carefully, they haven’t broken up, they are going to!

And only IF certain conditions are met! ONLY IF!!!

Yeah, now since your excitement levels are down and reality has sunk in, let’s tell you what’s actually happening in the love-birds’ nest.

In comparison to love affairs of the cricketing world and Bollywood, this love affair is at a very nascent stage, kind of a new born. However, it is growing up really fast and it is a fact that when things move faster than required, lot of accidents happen. Same can be the case with Virat Kohli And Anushka Sharma if certain things are not taken care of.

The first and foremost reason is Anushka’s acting assignments. No doubt that she is one of the top rated stars of the country and has been doing some of the most amazing projects, the latest one being Dil Dhadakne Do. However, what puzzles is how Virat would be taking in the kissing scenes and love-making scenes Anushka do so very often! Well, we are broad-minded and we do consider it as a part of her job and no big deal about it. But Virat is publicly known to be short-tempered and a typical dilli-walla munda! Is he taking it well?

Before they became a couple, it was not even an issue for Anushka to conduct her professional career the way she wanted to and even now, it should not be of anyone’s concern. However, what if during one of those long intimate scenes and rehearsals etc, she develops some feeling towards her co-actor? How difficult or impossible is that? There are load of love-stories in Bollywood that started with couples spending long hours together and displaying such intimacy on-screen! Where would that leave Virat?

Also, what if Virat finds someone else during one of his long overseas tours when Anushka isn’t around him? Given the massive female fan following that Virat has all over the world, it is not a big deal for girls to throw themselves at him! Yes, as of now, he has resisted the temptations, but who knows about the future guys?

Long distance relationships are not easy to work upon. Since one partner is seen kissing and getting intimate, so very often with so many different men, the trust issues are obviously going to erupt every few days if not hours! Indian men are not known for open-minded approach, but most are considered to be orthodox in their approach when it comes to their wives and girlfriends. We don’t know yet what category Virat falls into, but if he is one of those old-school kinds, then the relationship is doomed for sure!

It will not be a matter of “if” but it will be a concern of “when”!

Let’s hope the day never comes and they live happily ever-after!

Don’t look at me as if I woke you up at 5am on a Sunday!

I know that Mr. Narendra Modi has the mandate to rule us for another four years and elections are far away, but then someone has to remove the rose-tinted glasses offered by Mr. Modi himself and look at the future realistically!

First of all, the achhe din are nowhere around the corner!

Sorry to rock your boat, but they are not coming anytime soon. All you have got and are going to get is pep-talk and nothing more. Development isn’t happening the way it should be, the government is not able to pass major bills required for businesses to look up as it doesn’t have the numbers in Parliament and prices are rising again!

In short, the frustrating days of UPA 2 are what one can expect given the way this current government is functioning.

If this goes on, by 2019 we all be screaming for a government change and a new PM!

Who can qualify?

Obviously the congress supporters will shout from the roof top to make their baba, Rahul Gandhi the PM!

However, the country knows his calibre and he doesn’t look like in the race, at least not today. May be if by some miracle he gets some brains, then I can’t say.

In such a scenario our best bet should be the current cricket team captain, MS Dhoni !

Yes I know he is not a politician, but by 2019 he would have retired from cricket and would have got time in his hands to join politics and contest an election. He started playing cricket for India and in no time was made captain based on his skills. He knows the game well and is a true leader. He has supported underdogs, spotted talent and gone against odds million times to steal victory from the jaws of failure! He is a true team player, a cool leader, takes smart decisions, and is unorthodox in approaching problems and providing unheard of, but successful solutions!

In short, all those qualities are what are required to be India’s PM!

We as a country have lot of potential, but no one is exploiting it in the right manner so that every citizen benefits and real growth happens to reduce poverty and inequality. The current government is only offering big words, bigger headlines instead of real action on the ground. Not to mention the fringe elements already working overtime to create a rift in the society on religious grounds!

And no, we don’t hear Mr. Modi rejecting such stupid statements simply because he can’t spoil his relations with RSS and VHP to stay in power!

I guess our best hope is someone like Mahi, a youngster to lead our young nation!

Enough of oldies catering to their selfish goals without giving a thought to what the nation wants!

He also has the laurel of being elected as the Youngest Sarpanch of the country at the age of 21 years, when he was unanimously elected as the Sarpanch of a village called near Fazilka in Punjab during the panchayatipolls in that area.

What is his relationship to cricket then, apart from being an ardent fan?

Well, apparently he has been termed as a secret bookie by the BCCI who has been ‘allegedly’ meeting cricketers during the IPL and other cricketing events and getting key team information and play tactics and passing them off during bet placement.

The Detailed Story

Gilhotra is a regular face in the Chandigarh party scene. Also, he seems to be very close to many Bollywood celebs, bureaucrats, politicians and even IPL franchise officials, with whom he gets pictures clicked and uploads on his Facebook page.

He is also the host of most Celebrity Cricket League cricket games played in Chandigarh which makes him really close to the celebs part of the tournament.

Many Bollywood celebs like Salman Khan, Sunil Shetty, Sohail Khan, Bobby Deol, Boney Kapoor, cricketers, bureaucrats like MukeshAmbani and politicos have attended his parties over the years, which raises the question – Is he very close to these cricketers and does he extract information from them?

Gilhotra became a national issue on media news last night when his pictures with Anurag Thakur, the secretary of The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) surfaced on social media.

The turf war between ICC and BCCI is a really sensitive issue and now the ICC has sent a letter written by mail sent by ICC’s CEO David Richards onto the BCCI demanding an explanation about Gilhotra’s identity.

Is He A Bookie?

Apparently, sharing a cake with the BCCI secretary hasn’t gone down with the ICC and this is when all the hoopla was created.

Also, the ICC has Gilhotra’s name on their Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) most-wanted list which labels him as a ‘suspected bookie’.

Not only that, his pictures with numerous cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Virendra Sehwag and others is a cause of concern.

He has also been alleged trying to befriend younger cricketers and the others mentioned above ever since the second edition of the IPL. ICC feels this is a tactic that most bookies play.

Gilhotra’s Take?

Gilhotra in an interview to the media terms that he wasn’t not aware that he was on ICC’s anti-corruption body’s watch list.

He terms that he is only a businessman who meets with people like Anurag and many other Bollywood stars, politicians and bureaucrats solely for a business visit.

He has confirmed that he knows Anurag since 10 years and they are well acquainted.

He terms the sudden name-shaming in the media to be a sham and blames the ICC for not informing or questioning him in an investigation about the ‘alleged bookie’ claim. He claims that the infighting between current BCCI board members is victimizing him and his friends like Anurag.

The real story will be unearthed only when a proper probe is set up, until then Gilhotra remains under the watchful eye of the Indian cricket fans and the ICC. If he is actually found to be a bookie, then the credibility of a lot of cricketers will be up for question since they also met Gilhotra with smiles on their faces.

It seems the collective wishes and prayers of a host of sportspersons across all kinds of sports except cricket are being answered right now!

The writing is on the wall!

Cricket is dying, day by day, week after week, year after year and the slide is quite phenomenal!

However, the silver lining is it is dying at the cost of other sports which are taking the space which was single-handedly grabbed by an entertainment giant called Cricket.

But first, let’s share with you some figures about cricket’s slow and steady decline.

Hard Facts!!

Firstly, cricket’s reach in India has declined from 77% in 2010 to 70% in 2014.

If one compares the income distributed by BCCI to players, it has declined from Rs. 49crores in 2012-13 to just Rs. 11 crores in 2013-14! Now that is a huge drop!

So what is happening?

Nothing much, except the fact that fatigue is setting in. In this age of really fast life, people are not finding enough time to sit through an 8-9 hour long One-day match without the crowd-pulling power of some outstanding players. It is a fact that the era which took cricket to its stupendous heights was due to some heavyweights of Indian cricket comprising of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Saurav Ganguly and VVS Laxman. One by one everyone retired, but the final blow was Sachin’s retirement. A whole generation who got stuck to their TV sets due to maestro’s batting suddenly felt a void and couldn’t relate to his absence. No player has been able to fill the big shoes even though Virat Kohli does look promising. In short, the attraction isn’t that huge now that one gets the tendency to leave everything to just watch a match! Moreover, there are other means of entertainment for quick gratification instead of spending five days or even 8hours on a cricket match when it is not inspiring enough!

Who is winning?

The obvious winners are other sports leagues launched in recent years, including comprising of sports like football, hockey, kabaddi, badminton and tennis. These sports take almost as much time as a T-20 takes so it easily squeezes in the busy schedules. The working population is going for variety and the youth isn’t connecting to cricket the way their elders did almost 20years ago. In a way it is good because the money available to promote sports gets distributed for the development of other neglected sports and sportspersons. Instead of only one sports body getting richer and richer, everyone gets a pie of the action and benefits from it.

The Way Forward..

The only question to be answered is whether BCCI and ICC are in tune with changing realities or living in their cocoon? Globally, only 14 countries play cricket and the sports bodies have plans to cut short the number of teams playing in the next World Cup to only 10. In a scenario when cricket is losing its sheen in the biggest market, India, and no major development is happening to promote the sport in other countries, what is the future of cricket not only in India, but world over?

Till they ponder over it, let’s enjoy our IPL games!

At least they are not going anywhere, anytime soon!

Benaud was renowned for being one of the best all-round cricketers displaying skills in lower order batting and leg spin bowling. In first-class cricket, he amassed 945 wickets and scored over 11,000 runs at an average of 39.50.

The former Australian cricketer and captain retired in 1964 after a successful international career thereby focussing on broadcasting and journalism. The last time Benaud was heard commentating was during the 2005 Ashes series.

Richie Benaud commentated the last time during the 2005 Ashes series

When it came to cricket commentary, many individuals in the commentary box looked up to him for not only the fashion in which he delivered updates, but also his witty puns. One of his popular witticisms included Glenn McGrath, when the Australian tail ender got out for two runs, “And Glenn McGrath dismissed for two, just ninety-eight runs short of his century”.

The news of Richie’s death led to tributes flooding on different social media platforms. He had an inspiring career and was glorious when it came to mic skills.

The story of Benaud becoming a true Test cricketer begins in Australia’s 1957 tour of South Africa. The following year, he was handed the team’s reins, which was a massive achievement in his personal career.

Richie Benaud as photographed in 1961

Richie Benaud was also responsible for Australian cricket team opening its arms to the media, which was not a common practice before he became the captain.

The person who was responsible for teaching leg spin to Benaud was his father. Richie went on to master the art of traditional leg spin bowling and added other weapons like the flipper, googly and top spinner to his arsenal.

Since making his international debut for Australia in 1952, Benaud was part of 63 Test matches (28 of which he captained). As captain, he won five out of the seven Test series taking Australia to the top of world cricket in the process.

The former Australian cricketer was also a hit among the local cricket followers. On numerous instances, the fans parodied his look in the stands wearing a white wig, posh suit and a microphoneRichie Benaud was part of the Channel Nine commentary team that included legends such as Tony Grieg, Ian Chappell and Mark Taylor.

In 1961, Richie was offered the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his contributions towards the game of cricket. He is survived by his wife of 48 years and two children.

Yes, this is in reference with the recent controversy involving MS Dhoni and Yograj Singh, Yuvraj Singh’s father.

This is the second time that the former Indian cricketer has lashed out at the current India and Chennai Super Kings skipper. This time around, Yograj has been harsher than on the first instance.

On both accounts, Yuvraj declined his involvement in this controversy claiming that he is on good terms with Dhoni. Nevertheless, today will definitely be an awkward instance when both individuals – Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni – take the field at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

It all began when the Indian captain and BCCI members met to select the 30-man probables list to represent India in the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup

The BCCI selection panel that shortlisted the 30-man probables for the Indian team during 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup

…from which Yuvraj Singh was excluded

Yuvraj Singh was excluded from the 30-man probables list

Sports pundits and the general public together condemned BCCI’s decision to exclude Yuvraj Singh from cricket’s mega event. However, Yuvraj’s father, Yograj was very vocal about it

Yograj Singh expressed displeasure towards BCCI’s decision

He showed his disappointment not only towards the BCCI, but also targeted the current Indian team captain MS Dhoni

Yograj Singh’s outburst was more targeted towards MS Dhoni

Yograj cited Dhoni as being the main reason for his son’s exclusion of the squad for the World Cup, despite his good form in the Ranji Trophy

Yuvraj was in top form during the Ranji Trophy

His accusation, though not valid, was intriguing enough and forced people to question Dhoni as well as the BCCI on the related subject. After all, it was Dhoni and Yuvraj at the crease when India won the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup against Sri Lanka

They play impeccably on the field, no doubts on that, but when there is a pre-match, post-match or press conference regarding cricket, their language, articulation, pronunciation, vocabulary, in fact almost everything comes to a standstill.

Most of the captains from countries in the Indian subcontinent have difficulty speaking in English, especially on such a humongous platform but here we will focus on some tongue-in-cheek comments too!

Here are some captains who had some really funny interviews:

Inzamam-Ul-Haq

The foremost entry goes to ‘Inzy’ bhai for making any tense match light-hearted with his interviews that came to a screeching halt, especially if it was an English interviewer on the other side. The man, infamous for the sloppiest run-outs in the history of cricket is also famous for getting the chills when an interview was conducted with him in a language he never learnt.

His usual interviewer was Rameez Raja, another prolific cricketer who never spared a chance to bash Inzy bhai for his ‘englissss’. His most used words are ‘is good game’ ‘boys is really played well’. ‘Bismillah-ir-Rehman-ir Rahim’, he speaks much better English now.

Virendra Sehwag

Our Viru paaji is the Indian version of Inzy bhai. Viru bhai was captain of the Indian team at the time Rahul ‘Jammy’ Dravid fell ill. (During his term as vice-captain, Virendra Sehwag skippered the team In the place of injured Dravid in 2 ODI and 1 Test.) Viru paaji was always serious during his ‘Angrejjeeee’ interviews especially since he was always a reserved person who never really liked the media hype around him.

His usual comments during his interviews were… ‘I neverrrr expected this’ ‘ When I was growing up… ‘ ‘ I was enjoying the game’. Viru Paji has always been ridiculed for his ‘Englisss’ by cricketers Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh, little do these boys know that their English prowess is just the same!

Ricky Ponting

This captain hailing from Australia is one of the most confident cricket captains you would ever come across! There was a time when all of his interviews playing against England were full of hateful words for Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff– his nemesis especially during the Ashes.

His interviews were not having any problems in English, his actual problem was an unabashed interview at the speed of the Rajdhani Express! To be able to understand his interview correctly, you really needed to focus a lot on his words or else you would have simply missed his point!

Nasser Hussain

This English captain took England to insurmountable heights, but at a cost. He is now a commentator and interviewer himself, but he failed dismally at being able to defend the Ashes losses against Australia. He faced the irk of the media even being called insane for his words defending his 13 straight toss losses against Steve Waugh, the then Australian Captain at that time.

In an interview, he even gave a shocking reply to the Queen of England, saying that it his decision to make on the field, even if they turn out to be wrong! You got guts bro! He has had innumerable verbal spats with Ravi Shastri in the commentary box when the former called the non-usage of DRS and BCCI’s IPL success ‘a disgrace’.

Shahid Afridi

Well, we kept this funniest interview comment for the last – it is too hilarious to digest!

Shahid Bhai accidentally blurted out the ‘N’ word during an interview with television commentator and prolific cricket expert Mark Nicholas. If you see the video over and over again… you might think he actually says ‘my n****r’. But, later on he clarified that he actually spoke ‘thank you Mark Nicholas’ in a hurry.

Michael Clarke

He had a super-fun moment when an interviewer accidentally said, ‘you have had tremendous sex, errr success on the field’. Clarke was witty enough to add to the comment that ‘ohh yess… add that too! How well do you know me?’ 😛

These captains, just like us normal human beings who had some really funny moments in their cricketing careers. These are some memories they might cherish for years to come. Nonetheless, their funny interviews did make us laugh and snort, especially after a tense game of cricket!

Keep it up guys

But, in recent times the spirit of cricket has taken a hit with various controversies like spot fixing, sledging, slow-over rate, sketchy bowling actions and what not!

So many players have been kicked out of the IPL for indulging in the divulging of confidential information, even umpires have been doing it!

IPL Season 8 – The Much Anticipated ‘India Ka Tyohaar’

IPL is entering its 8th season now, but it too has witnessed all the aforementioned drama in almost every season ever since its inception. IPL now is nothing more than a transfer of millions from one pocket to another. The cricket may be electrifying but all that remains is the controversy.

This year’s IPL hasn’t even begun and it is also surrounded with controversies off the pitch.

Sunil Narine, the most prolific bowler the IPL has ever seen was almost relegated to the bench for his dubious action. Kolkata Knight Riders even threatened to forfeit playing in this season and not play for the championship. However, the action has been cleared after much debacle and Narine can now play for KKR.

People are dying to see Pakistani players on Indian soil playing in the IPL! Anyone listening? Till date the ties between the two boards and countries are not resolved to let the spirit of cricket prevail and as a result of that this year’s IPL auction did not figure any Pakistan players.

Mitchell Starc, the player who was named the Man of the tournament in the World Cup 2015 and the one who picked up 14 wickets in last year’s IPL is currently ruled out for the initial stages of this IPL due a knee injury.

Royal Challengers Bangalore for whom Starc might just play this season is also suffering a major blow since Adam Milne’s heel injury is still sore for which he was forced to leave the New Zealand semi-final and final matches in the world cup.

KKR has booked Johan Botha and Azhar Mahmood (English player not Pakistani) as possible replacements for James Neesham and Chris Lynn who are currently ruled out for play due to hamstring injuries.

Shakib Al Hasan will miss out many matches due to his Bangladesh series with Pakistan, if it actually takes place however it seems like the ties have fallen out and the series will not take place.

Delhi Daredevils has already been called very weak by JP Duminy since it has a very unsettled and technically unsettled team.

Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan are eyeing a comeback into the national team but their fitness is still a big question especially since they haven’t really played much of international T20 in recent times.

Rajasthan Royal’s fiery pacer Kane Richardson has also been ruled out citing personal reasons.

Delhi Daredevils has taken another hit since their star batsman Angelo de Matthews will a lot of matches due to the ethnic tension over the treatment of Tamil players leading to a ban of SL players playing. in south India.

A lot of doubts are being raised at RCB’s chances this year to overturn their mishaps last season, but already people are doubting VIrat Kohli’s role as captain due to his follies in the World Cup.

This year the IPL has seen more controversies and drama even before a single match has been played! When the entire schedule of match fixture can be changed to the incumbent Kolkata Municipal Elections, anything can happen!

Lets’s hope the best team wins and KKR lives up to the title they won last year.
