Mind you, they are stopping women from getting raped, not stopping men from attempting rape. So in a nutshell, men can be high on their testosterone with impunity but women have to keep a weather eye on their clothes. You may have come across the recent incident of OLA cabs in Bangalore where a woman has booked a cab for airport drop and the driver molested her after taking a wrong route altogether. Not only stopping here, he did even threaten to hang-rape and leaking her photos online. This incident may slip off your memory soon and the myriad others that are happening across the year.

What really makes us wonder that the ministers don’t pay as much heed to the these serious incidents are take them casually. Only a woman can understand how toiling it has been for the victim but the camp of moral police comprises of both male and female. They have laid down some rules for women of dos’ and don’ts because the rape victim is deemed a culprit rather than a rapist.

Rape happens because women wear skimpy clothes:

If a woman choses to show her legs, then you can’t blame it on the men to stare, come on, you can’t expect them to close their eyes. A woman should have as much shame to hide her body in as much clothes that suffocate her to death.

Rape happens because they come home late:

How can women step out after 5 pm in the evening? This is not safe for women to step out in the evening after dark. If you ask why, they will promptly reply, if you go out this late in the evening, boys will tease.

Rape happens because women have male friends:

This is a common catchphrase in the society “check what your daughter is doing, she seems to change boyfriends more frequently than her clothes, if anything wrong happens the next day don’t tell us we didn’t have warned you”. meh!

Rape happens because they drink and smoke:

A girl should not drink or smoke, this one reminds us of the dialogue from ‘Bardinath Ki Dulhania’ mouthed by Aliaa Bhatt “Ab ek do peg ke liye kya ladka ban jau? “.

Rape happens because women use profanity:

It is the masochism of men to blurt out swear words but which gentle lady does badmouth? The ones that do fall in ‘that’ category. God knows who has given them the fair right to categorize women!

Rape happen because they wear bright lipstick and loud make-up:

Women are judged on the merits of their lipstick and make-up. People think that a woman wears loud lipstick to attract attention. It is her sinister strategy to attract men.

Rape happen because they counter-answer the eve-teasers:

If a woman is teased on the road , she is always taught to ignore than to complain. But if a girl raises her voice against that, if hurts the man’s ego real bad.

We women have utter disdain towards the moral p

olicing, sadly, we have moral police in our own homes too.

Well, it has been seen that men who are sexually assaulted by women maintain silence because they FEAR that nobody will listen to their truth. It is the “trust factor” that comes in. Due to this, many men stay quiet because obviously, many in society have created an image that men are strong & nothing like this can happen to a man. Due to this “image”, many men struggle sharing their feelings with others.

Thanks to Reddit, where men are coming forward to share their story & yes, it’ll hurt you right where it hurts.

She used to take me out of school and use me. I wasn’t more than eight.

I went up to get a drink in a crowded bar and a rather large woman ruffled my hair and said ‘I like this one’. She then started thrusting into my backside. I wasn’t sure how to respond… I just Kinda waited for it to stop. It was pretty uncomfortable and I felt Kinda vulnerable. In the wake of all these sexual harassment stories, I looked back on this moment and considered for the first time that that was actual sexual harassment. Huh.

When I was 6, my sister raped me. She was around 14 at this time. It was really f***ed up and it’s something so weird as well, because it’s not just rape, it’s also incest. I haven’t even thought about this whole situation at all until this year where my thought was like “Wait, was I raped?” As a kid, your perception is so naive compared to who you are right now. Let me tell you, I can never look at my sister ever again. She’s a menace, and I have never cared for her after I realized what had happen.

Ex-girlfriend’s mom felt me up, made out with me, and grabbed at my d*** while I was asleep. No one cares, people blamed me, laughed it off. I don’t tell anyone now. Even when the narrative goes that all men are aggressors, and all women are victims. I just shut up.

I was 4 or 5 and my babysitter sexually assaulted me. I didn’t even really realize what happened until years later…. I saw a therapist and talked through it, I still do.

A woman grabbed me to try and manipulate me for money. Then I was called gay when I said it wasn’t okay. Pretty minor.

Sexually Assaulted Men: Aren’t these stories heartbreaking? We live in a world where society convince us that men aren’t sexually assaulted but these above mentioned stories prove how wrong it is. Any men who share their sexual assault story deserves the same attention a women receives. What do you think about all this? Let us know in the comment section below.

Male rape victims exist too.

Recently, on Reddit, there was a question being asked and i.e. “Male Rape Victims Of Reddit; what happened? Many Male victims shared their stories and all I can say is, you shouldn’t ignore their PAINFUL story.

Plus, let me mention, that those who’ve have this thinking that “Male Rape victims doesn’t exist”, these answers will surely show you the truth.

Let’s begin – Male Rape Victims

My dad remarried and the stepmom’ family looked after us every now and then. I was 11. There wasn’t a lot of bed space so my step aunt slept in my bed. She was in her 40s. The first time, she wanted to show me how “adults kiss”. Then later, how “adults can kiss other parts of the body”. It continued on for 3 years in the guise of her “teaching” me how to be a man and what adults do. It was 3 years of sexual molestation and abuse. It was manipulation–plain and simple. It ruined my sexual appetite as an adult and how I viewed women. It took me over 8 years to cope with it. I’m better now, but rape is real. Male victims are real.

I was 8 years old, he was much older (not sure how much as 8 y/o are not that good at judging age). He sodomized me over 60 times that summer. Fucked me up for life with all that went on. Fortunately he’s dead now.

I was drugged by a girl I knew in HS, her and her bf raped me while I was passed out, I don’t remember a lot of it.

From the time I was 7 until 11, I was raped by an older family friend. He and my mom were platonic friends at work and he would occasionally hang out with us. He had no family. I thought he was like a real big kid. Eventually, he started taking me out every Saturday to do fun stuff and that let to overnight trips at his house. He started using me and at the age of 17 I found out, he had given me herpes.

When I was about 7 years old, my brother molested me, made me do oral sex on him, some stuff I didn’t wanna do, fucked me up bad, when I was 16 I told my mom and she laughed at me, called me a liar, that fucked me up more. I’m 22 can’t hold down a job, can’t keep a relationship, and suffer from depression.

Age 10 I was manipulated into performing oral sex on a friend’s sister who was 17 at the time. She also did this with her brother. She never got charged.

During my time as an addict (15 y/o at the time) I was seeking MDMA but nobody was holding, so I kept getting numbers for different people from different people. I wound up in a shitty part of town, the X given to me was not X. I was drugged and gang raped. I didn’t know if that suddenly made me gay or not and it created a lot of inner turbulence. I was on the syringe within weeks.

My friend said a guy climbed onto his back as my friend was laying face down on the floor and raped him. Sounded like the bastard had done it before, because he used his knees to press into the back of my friend’s knees, making it impossible for him to escape. My friend died two years ago, I only knew about it when I read the obituary. He was quite young and I wonder if it had been a suicide.

I was mentally, physically, and sexually abused by my older brother from the age of 5 until about 15. I tried to tell my parents but it never really went anywhere. He has a viscous temper and I was very afraid of him and went along with it to save myself from being beaten.

I was four. She was twelve. I told. No one cared. It happened a number of times. She called it ‘the game’.

She stood up, dropped her pants, and said “if you don’t have sex with me I’m going to run upstairs and tell your mom you tried to rape me“.

I was 18. Moved to la. I was kidnapped and held against my will for seven days. Was raped and forced to drink piss. On the seventh day he told me I was too ugly to fuck anymore. Blind folded me and drove around for hours then he dropped me off downtown with my wallet in a Ziploc bag. I could not be touched by a man for 6 years.

Male Rape Victims – So, now you believe that male victims exist too, right? What happens is, sometimes, a male victim thinks that it isn’t okay to share stories because the people will never believe ‘em, at all. But, you need to find the right ones to discuss your problems and help will come for sure. Also, it’s very important for parents to believe their kids when they come and share stories like this.

It has to be, after all it’s been 68 years of our independence and still we haven’t got our rightful dues. It’s high time the government listens to what the future of this country has to say, right?

Here’s a list of top 10 demands of the Indian youth that the authorities need to fulfil right away!

1) Free WIFI All Over

Why only in Delhi? Free WIFI needs to be provided to the citizens of the country all across the nation for their overall development and growth. Technology and internet have the potential to change lives and the government can do this much if it wants the youth to contribute towards the betterment of the nation.

2) Higher Education On Merit

Let’s stop this system of quota and capitation fees and various other ways of gaining an entry into colleges for higher education. Just make merit the sole criteria and for the under-privileged, let’s prepare them from childhood for equal participation to face the competition.

3) Secured Life

Every boy and girl should actually be made to feel safe not only from enemies outside the country, but from within as well! Girls should be able to live their life on their terms without a fear of rape or acid attack. The citizens shouldn’t have to worry about racist attacks, terrorist attacks, religious hatred etc.

4) Equal Opportunities

No matter what one’s caste, religion, skin colour is, he or she should be offered equal opportunities in life. At work, there shouldn’t be any discrimination or special treatment based on one’s background! We all are humans, right?

5) Freedom to Wear

Yes, we might say that we have freedom to wear anything, but every other day there are diktats from some idiots about girls not allowed to wear this or that! How are clothes going to change the mentality, one cannot understand this logic! Stop these Stone Age diktats!

6) Freedom to Love

Let the youth love and spread it as well. Why to confine them in man-made cages of only selective love? Ensure that love happens irrespective of difference in religion, caste, economic background or sexual preferences. Love is the only solution, nothing else!

7) Freedom to Criticise

You do your job well, you will get praise! You goof up, you’ll be criticized! Let the youth have the freedom to raise their voice against injustice, to criticize the government for their unjustified actions, and participate freely in what is called a democratic movement.

8) Full Night Clubs

The youth nowadays is used to hectic lifestyles with most of the time spent in working long hours! They need to refresh and rejuvenate themselves and for that it is important that there are enough of full night entertainment centres. Obviously the security apparatus has to be organized by the government, but is it too much to ask in return for making sure that work efficiencies rise higher?

9) Talent Should Rule

Whether in educational institutes or at work, only talent should be given prominence. Whether in government jobs or private ones, there should be not any hindrance for the employee to grow higher up in his job if he rightly deserves it. The criteria of minimum amount of years or minimum education to acquire a position is so old-age!

10) Live and Let Live

This should be the mantra of life to be made the national slogan! Not only should this be encouraged in word and spirit, but also in action.

These are not big demands that will make a hole in government’s budget. These are basic things that will help the youth to live a happy life and a happy citizen is always going to work harder for the betterment of society and nation.

This is what all producers unanimously exclaim whenever a finger is pointed at them for glorifying the ills of society. Their argument is that they are always showing what they see in the society. When it comes to horrible cases of rape and women exploitation, it is not part of any imagination, but real life stories fictionalised to convey a message to society at large!

Really? Do we all buy this point?

We, for sure, don’t agree with this explanation!

The reason being, rapes in India are being widely reported in mainstream media only for past few years after it started becoming less of a taboo. Mind you, rape is still a social taboo for most women and the percentage of women who have the courage to report a rape is still miniscule. However, the rape scenes depicted in Hindi movies are being shown since decades if not from the first film itself!

If in the 60’s and 70’s villains like Prem Chopra and Ranjeet made their name with multiple rape scenes in their different movies, 80’s and 90’s were ruled by villains like Shakti Kapoor, Gulshan Grover. The trend still continues and there are lots of known-unknown villains who are part of lavishly shot rape scenes!

The concern is the impressionable minds and the ones who relate cinema with reality consider it normal for a man to overpower woman when they see such scenes in movies. For them, that’s what a woman is all about: an object to be enjoyed for a man’s sexual gratification on a power trip!

It doesn’t matter what happens later in the movie whether the villain gets killed or the hero takes revenge!

This is for the simple reason that in real life, we don’t see any hero flying in the air and kicking villain’s ass. Even the judicial system doesn’t work fast and genuinely to punish the culprits. For a common man, the impression remains that overpowering a woman is cool, it looks stylish and that no one will be able to get hold of him!

This is a scary situation because movies are supposed to entertain, but not at the cost of degrading women or objectifying them. If the “message” that producers-directors are trying to give gets lost in translation, then the whole act of rape in a movie becomes just a titillating experience instead of bringing awareness about such a horrible event!

We really wish the film-makers show more sensitivity and responsibility while handling such a delicate issue. They owe it to the society who pays to watch their films and make them successful! Or else Bollywood will never be able to shed the tag of earning millions by promoting the rape culture!

If you guys want any proof of how films have glamorised Rape Culture In India, you can watch it by clicking the following link!

Leslee Udwin’s documentary on the Nirbhaya rape case called India’s Daughter was banned in India. It was uploaded by BBC on You Tube and very soon it was removed from there too.

To protest against the move by the Indian Govt. to ban this documentary, a village in Agra screened this film.

As per reports, Roop Dhanu village in Anwalkheda screened the documentary on International Women’s Day.

The documentary showed the brutal truth but we have a tendency to turn a blind eye towards reality.

While channels were busy debating on whether the film should have revealed the real name of Nirbhaya or were finding flaws with the documentary, NDTV stuck to the ethics of journalism.

For mere TRPs, it was quite disturbing to see the debates on whether this film should be banned or not. Here the film pointed the grave realities that needed much more attention.

Fast track case is pending since years, lawyers give their regressive remarks and let us not even go as far as discussing the statements of the rapists.

This is a harsh truth that the Govt. decided to ban as it would lead the public to question establishments.

NDTV went blank for an hour to protest this ban. From 9pm to 10pm it ran a blank screen with a diya and the name of the documentary – India’s Daughter written on it.

Rahul Kanwal of ‘Headlines Today’ tweeted this about the ban:

Watched #IndiasDaughter Makes zero sense for Govt to ban film. Granting permission to shoot rapist is procedural issue. Doesn’t justify ban

— Rahul Kanwal (@rahulkanwal) March 8, 2015

Finally, the Bar council of India issued notices to the lawyers defending the accused of the case.

So for all those shouting what good has this documentary done? Well it unmasked the faces of our educated lawyers who have such regressive thoughts. The notices were issued, following the documentary.

M.L. Sharma and A.K. Singh were issued notices for their flowery statements decorated with diamonds!

What happens when law helplessly fails? The law gets lynched. Mob outburst is the most dangerous one and that is exactly what happened in Nagaland.

As per news reports around 4,000 people stormed into the jail at Dimapur in Nagaland, pulled out the rape accused, paraded him naked and thrashed him to death.

Weren’t we expecting this? I won’t give an opinion about what happened is right or wrong but I just want to ask if we as a society weren’t expecting this?

Every day we hear a rape case. Law has been continuously failing to provide any kind of justice. People had been tolerating not only failed system but also fighting a very deeply rooted regressive mentality.

Moreover depressing comments from the top authorities about a woman’s character had been shaming India worldwide.

How much would anyone tolerate? Not justifying the act of the mob in Nagaland but seriously weren’t we expecting this?

The more the law is going to fail the more there would be anarchy in the society.

People would resort to such type of acts like this lynch justice in Nagaland. This is just one of the case that should shake our system, constitution and awaken India to the reality.

The recent documentary on Nirbhaya rape case shows how helpless our Indian law and how regressive our so-called lawyers are.

If such a fast track case is still pending then it is foolishness on our part to even expect any ray of hope for any rape victim in the country.

It is so unfortunate that we spend so much of our time and energy debating issues on what offends whom. How come a rape case doesn’t offend people in this country?
