But the widespread of religious quotes has increased the sense of forgiveness as well as spirituality. Moreover, considering it religious, this holy book enhances the verses of spiritual thoughts. The journey to get the goals of whole-heartedness and faith towards spiritual than religious.

Religion differs from spirituality, as religion is followed by a particular community. But the thoughts and followers of spirituals are worldwide irrespective of religion or language.

Spiritual than religious Bhagwad Gita, Its influence

For ages, mankind has been suffering from hatred, jealousy, fear, and violence. Evils have been in reign, therefore to reduce the spread of inhumane behavior the role of the Bhagavad Gita was to elevate the thoughts of spirituality.
Spiritual thoughts are beyond the ways of following any idols or beliefs. Nor it is bounded to rituals and prayers to blind beliefs. The quote itself encourages self-development as a human from soul and body. Learning and gaining knowledge reduce or remove arrogance and violence from society, and its mankind.
The sacred book is a guide to learning and knowing about strength, and finding the ways towards victory over anger and destruction. It is the best mentor to overcome fear and gain the power to control the mind identifying the evils.
Apart from self-development, it can lift a person and their soul to find peace of mind. As it is essential for inner peace and rid of mental stress or anxiety. In modern times unwanted stress and anxiety had been destroying a healthy life. The widespread of the verses of Lord Krishna has been lines of benefits.

Why does Hinduism not consider wealth as sin?

In Hinduism, people have never pushed away from the materialistic world. It always inspires people to have all kinds of goodness that one faces through the different phases of life. But, at the same time it always focuses on the practices of caring, detachment, and intelligence. Also to enjoy the materialistic benefits, it is essential to know the facts of life. He should be aware of all the best and worst conditions of life.

Religion provides complete guidance to treat and use in the proper way. So, that people are conscious. Hinduism beliefs in earning wealth with the use of ethics. Anything earned in the wrong way will not stay with you for long. Above it, the earnings do not do any good to anyone rather it may harm in one way or another.

Dharma or duty that the Epics of Hindus describes always focuses on the path of dedication and the right way of survival. Whatever, a person should be in the proper, consistent, and right way. This will always enable a person to earn but falsify the fact that wealth is evil.

Worshipping Goddess of Wealth

Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth that each house of the Hindu prays to provide them wealth and prosperity. She is present in every house, who is offered in various ways by different parts of the people of India. Some are found to worship the idol made of stone or clay while few worship the elements of Goddess.

Offering her and chanting the hymns always reminds me of the worst and part of possessing wealth. It always keeps warning about maintaining the ethical way to live a happy life and enjoy wealth.

A person who deals with the wealth cautiously will always be able to enjoy it or else they may fail to retain it in the future. Hinduism always believes that earning is necessary but depending on the action a person can progress day by day. Humans need a materialistic life to be happy, it is difficult to give it up when one relishes it. So the “Artha” or wealth can make a person and his family happy with the material world.

Assuming, wealth as sin when it starts harming human nature and other’s life. To have a balanced and normal life a person has to earn wealth that can give a new level. Making them responsible, dedicated and happy, with satisfaction to take birth as a human being

Does shaving the head helps in the healthy growth of hair in a child? These are the common things that a person has in their mind. Apart from it the shaving the head in few religious activities are observed among the Hindus. It can be in any family customs or any other rituals of Hindu religion that shaving of the head and removing hair is essential.

Somewhere it is a belief of dedication and contribution while some parts of India believe to shed of their past bitter experiences along with deceased.

Science proved behind Hair having in Hindu religion

One of the reasons to shave the head of the child at least once in his or her childhood is to develop the even growth of the hair. At an early age, it becomes difficult for parents to cut or shed the hair of the child. The sensitive scalps at small age make it difficult for a kid and their parents to completely shave the grown long hair.

Complete shaving of hair will remove the old grown damaged hair follicles and help in growing new hair in children. In the Hindu religion, it is observed that different parts of the country have hair shaving customs. It is present at an early age as well as in teenagers.

Less grown and thin hair grows

The short hairs on the scalp or the head that are not able to grow further are thin and short at the same time. As the small hair is cut or shaved then it becomes easy for the hair to grow thick and stronger. But it is possible till a certain age but after the kids grow up as a teenager it becomes difficult to improve the fast growth of the hair.

Similar to the shaving off the beards and the mustaches of a boy the features of the hair follicles and growth are comparable.

“Mundan”, Hair Shaving in Hindu religion

“Mundan” is the ritual when the hair shaven and only a few hairs are left which is known as Shikha, a tuft. The rest of the hair is removed during the “Mundan Ceremony”, by applying turmeric on the body. And holy bathing is followed by the hair shaving ceremony. The reason behind the ritual is to improve the hair texture that is related to the beauty of a boy. Another reason for the ceremony to increase the intelligence and thinking power as per the sacred rituals.

Spirituality

It helps in developing positive energy in the human body. They have the Shikara that grows long and the rest are shaved. The shedding of hair helps in the development of intelligence with the proper growth of energy. The new energy that grows giving up the old negative thoughts out of the mind, it keeps the mind fresh and active to regulate the energy. This is the reason that the priests and monks shave their hair on the day of Amavasya, the day when the body is at the top of energy level as per the Hindu religion.

But there is no specific founder of the religion similar to Buddhism or Jainism. The ancient holy books that mention the specific religion, Rigvedas, or the Gita the sacred and holy books mention the importance. So, it was already understood that the founders of the latter have inspired by Hinduism. India has the greatest widespread of diversified religious beliefs from Sikh, Christianity, Muslims, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.

Both Buddhism as inspiring from Hinduism has different conceptions on the meaning and beliefs on the statement of “Dharma”. According to Buddhism, the Dharma states the universal law in which the followers of the religion are believed to go to the refuge. It guides the refuge to gain enlightenment. Not offering prayers to idols and gods, but to live life to the best creating a better life for his people and himself.

Dharma:

But dharma has a separate focus on religious approaches, as people have to pray to the idol made of stone or statues. Offering prayers and other necessities grow knowledge by reading religious books or chant mantras to understand the differences in Dharma and win the goal to live a strong as well as a successful life. Defeating the evils and grooming intelligence to stay away from evils are explained in the mantras and other books related to Hinduism. Dharma is mostly related to worldly approaches instead of universal law.

Hindu Gods are more than 100 in numbers and each community of different languages and beliefs worship idols or deities. Both God and Goddesses are worshipped, but Buddhism does not have any such religious beliefs to worship idols or deities. Their belief is opposite to Hinduism as according to the religion of Gautama Buddha nothing is permanent. So, they worship nature and the universe and do not believe in worshipping deities.

Karma:

Karma or destiny is mentioned in holy books of Hinduism and Buddhism but meanings for both are different. Both religions have the practice of Karma, but their way to perform and fulfill the requirement is entirely dissimilar. Karma is the work or activity that is carried out by the followers who want to find out their achievements. Enlightenment is the cause of whatever the Buddhists do to complete to understand Dhamma.

But from Hinduism religion, the meaning of Karma is highly complicated, not at all the simplicity of Karma is described in any of the Vedic and holy books. Bhagavad Gita describes the verses of Lord Krishna. The learnings from the verses which guide about the success, pride, and failures are the basic that still inspires human or worldly behaviors.

The core beliefs of religion Buddhism and Hinduism are different, but they believe in the incarnation despite disagreeing with deities by the Buddhists. Hindus have described the incarnations and changes with the depictions of idols and statues. Though both have “Karma” but following their pathways are not alike.

An elaborate description of the sacred number…..

“Nadi” is the term that is used in Ayurvedic medicine, in which spiritual flow, physical flow, and the soul of a body are described with the 108 connection to flow. The energy flow throughout the body with the sacred number which connects the three main chakras through the energy channels.

Did you ever check into the features of Upanishads? The Veda was composed after the great epic Mahabharata. Written by Veda Vyas, It is also known as the base of Hinduism that has been divided into 108 parts. Not only that the indication of the holiness is explained but also the total number of Puranas is 108.

We all know about the importance of acupuncture that mentions the 108 points which are similar to the world’s ancient medicinal treatment of Ayurveda. Completeness is observed in the number that helps in healing the diseases. Inspired by the ancient medicines the sacred number has been initiated in treating many diseases when modern medicine was not around.

Krishna has a total of 108 names, which itself indicates the importance of the sacred number in Hinduism. The Lord of Kalyuga, with incarnation to different forms, he is the Avatar of Vishnu and was born to different families.

In the yoga poses a complete set of Sun salutation or Surya Namaskara has a set of movements of the sacred number. When elaborating on Vinyasa, it is completed with postures and stretches which are differentiated into Astanga Vinyasa and Power Yoga. Another ancient form of meditation which helps in developing a healthy body to proper breathing.

Vishnu temples in India are found to be built in the holy number of Hinduism. In the works of Alvars, the name of the temples is present which is known as Divya Desam. It means the place of the lord, Vishnu. Three temples, belonging to the holy number is outside India, and 105 are established in India.

After Vishnu, when the mythology speaks about Lord Shiva when looking in the 54 letters of Sanskrit. The alphabets describe the Shiva-Shakti in two genders that totals up to 108.

To complete 108 Lotus; Lord Rama had given one of his eyes to complete the sacred number which was necessary for the rituals and prayers offered to Goddess Durga. Even today the Durga Puja needs 108 items each as offerings for the puja Known as “Ram’s Akalbodhan”.

In the Hindu religion, the contribution of the sacred number 108 has been established in Vedas and mythology. The importance and necessity still exist in the calendar and activities of Hinduism.

As it is not only an epic but a teacher to the modern era, few of major impact and inspiration to the modern era are:

Existence by fittest

When we look into the family of the King of Hastinapur, the Kaurava and Pandavas, both had massive differences in their nature, culture, and skills. While Kauravas being a total of 100 in numbers did not have the ability comparing to the Pandavas. Each brother of the five had the individual ability that made them the strongest opponent to fight and stand at the battlefield in Kurukshetra. So, inspired by the power of Dharma, in Mahabharat it is a point that impresses the modern era is to be skilled and prepared instead of looking for support from others. Self-sufficiency was one of the reasons that developed the power of the Pandavas.

Religion survives long and stands strong

Mahabharata has been the epic of Hinduism that consists of the parts of Gita, the sacred book of the Hindus. This ancient book inspires people to learn about the hardships that arise from jealousy and also the conspiracy that can arrive anytime from anyone. The development of a conscious mind is possible through the learning of the quotes in Gita used in Mahabharata that describe the truth of life. Enabling you to be learning from the religion about the different stages of hardships and the way a strong bond can pull you to be bold and divided to fall.

Respect womanhood

The lady of five men, Draupadi is still remembered in history, when her attire was pulled to open by the Kauravas after losing the bet with the Pandavas. This was the time she could only remember Lord Krishna to save her from humiliation. Lord Krishnas saved her from the shameful situation by providing Draupadi the drapes of the saree on her body.

Modern Era has been inspired by the story of Mahabharata that reveals about saving womanhood. They were weak and mostly dominated from the ancient times who need respect and care from their society.

Male infanticides

Hindu empire has always looked for a male ruler, or nothing different was seen in the story of Mahabharata. Both Pandavas and Kauravas finally ended up in the Kurukshetra war to occupy the throne of Hastinapura. When the requirement of marrying more than one woman tradition was increasing to find the most appropriate ruler for the empire. Similarly, the rivalry increased between the mothers to provide their son the thrones which led to the killing of male infanticides. Modern era-inspired had always looked for male children through the thoughts that have changed after women are provided with better education and opportunities.

Arjuna the fine archer”Guru Dakshina”

Politics and religion are both interwoven from the epics of the ancient times, the political mind to win as a fine archer Arjuna is all time a great example for all eras. So, when Eklavya being a Kshatriya was one of the best disciple and student of Drona. But finally, Drona asked for the Guru Dakshina from Eklavya, his right thumb. So, Arjuna became the best-trained archer as the student of Drona acharya.

Similarly, in the modern era, the story of Mahabharata is influential to establish power and success through the games of politics.

He is the greatest entrepreneur of all time being the pioneer of Apple. Many of us don’t know that Jobs was a great believer of Karma which probably was his trigger for success too. Karma is the result of our actions which we can’t go without facing so one needs to be true to his conscience no matter what. It gives a overwhelming happiness when we think that a man of Steve Job’s repute has adhered to the ideology of Karma all his life. Needless to say, Karma has an association with Hinduism which establishes the fact that Steve Jobs too, was fond of Hindu philosophies. Of course, this is nothing new because Hinduism has absorbed devotees from different faiths for its liberal take on life.

Steve Jobs’s speech in Stanford University:

Steve Jobs delivered a motivating speech in Stanford University about simple living and high thinking which became a sensation. While addressing Stanford University graduates, he shared three life-changing stories which really moved them. The first story was about connecting dots, he second story was about love and loss and the third story revolved around his belief in Karma.

To brief the curious students into insights of Karma philosophy, Steve Jobs was quoted as saying:

“Again, you can’t connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust everything, your gut, destiny, life, karma whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in life”.

This quote mirrors his way of thinking about life. Obviously, from the peak of success, it is easy to introspect and connect the dot by looking back. Also, we know a great deal about Karma and its effects through his speech here.

Furthermore, Steve was also quoted as saying- ” I would walk the seven miles across town every Sunday night to get a good meal a week at the Hare Krishna temple. O loved it”

This quote mirrors his way of thinking about life. Obviously, from the peak of success, it is easy to introspect and connect the dot by looking back. Also, we know a great deal about Karma and its effects through his speech here.

No wonder, this speech was one of his most quoted speeches. Below is the video of the career-changing and life-changing speech Steve Jobs had delivered.

Steve Jobs visited an Ashram in India:

Steve Jobs, the man who really changed the way how we communicate, had visited India in search of enlightenment. In the due course of his stay, he paid a visit to the famous Baba Neem Karoli ashram to understand the true teachings of Sanatana Dharma.

To conclude, we would highlight a few points from his lifestyle- he was a vegetarian, practiced yoga routinely and was known for his strong love and compassion for animals. These look like so much connected to Hinduism, don’t they?

I am yet to understand the ideologies of the people who shout from the rooftops holding the flag of HINDUISM! I am so keen to take a sneak peek in their kitchens and in their private lives, per se!

The recent beef lynching case caught my nerves and how!

We all know the story inside out! Mohammad Akhlaq a 50-year-old labourer beaten to death by a mob in his small two-storey home in the centre of Bishara village, about an hour’s drive beyond the outskirts of Delhi, India’s capital. The mob that killed him believed that Akhlaq and his family, who are Muslim, had eaten meat from a cow, an animal considered sacred by the 80% of the Indian population who follow the Hindu faith. Akhlaq and his son were dragged from their beds and beaten with bricks. The father died; the son is fighting for his life in hospital.

And it was only SUSPECTED, that they ate beef!

The hysteria over a SUSPICION of eating an animal who was already dead – killing one, half-killing another and ruining many lives to the consequence! Please for God sake (I am not bothered then, the God is Hindu or Muslim here), just spell SANITY for me!

No, it is not that the this insane murder went down well with all the Hindus. There were some who tried to raise a voice against this grotesquely inhuman behaviour.

Someone tried to protest the murder of 50 year old Muslim, that too outside BJP office in New Delhi! Yes, you are guessing right! Mass hysteria broke out, when Gaurav Jain, a student of DU and a freelance journalist heard about the incident where a man was lynched under SUSPICON of eating beef, he decided to protest in his own way. He created an event on Facebook called ‘Beefy Picnic’, where the participants were asked to bring beef and consume it in front of the BJP office on Ashoka Road.

“Of late, beef has ceased to exist as ‘just food’. It has now become an excuse to alienate and kill people; the latest being the lynching of Md Akhlaq by his own villagers… this whole episode baffles the inherent sense of justice and humanity… let’s show ‘them’ that eating beef shouldn’t spread hatred…,” he wrote.

On this, the karmath Delhi Police immediately swung into action and began to check the bags of the local daily commuters at the nearest metro station, to see if they were carrying any beef. I would like to take a moment to reiterate here, that in the Indian Constitution, it is nowhere written that carrying beef is illegal, and authorities can detain people on what they plan to EAT! Yet the police invaded the privacy and continued searching the bags till they found Gaurav Jain and a few others and detained them. We all know who owns Delhi Police!

This whole incident of a village man being lynched, students getting arrested, protesters being detained, the red-flag autocracy and the fake shouts of SACREDNESS and LOVE FOR MOTHER COW! Call me an utter idiot, but I think we need to check our facts.

We are not a democracy any more, we are ruled by an AUTHORITARIAN GOVERNMENT.

And this, my dear fellow Indians, you think is the doing of stringent faith in HINDUISM? No, not at all!

This is purely to quench the thirst of the BJP government. A brilliant agenda here! And how this happens? By shutting down all the small slaughter houses in the cities, and profiting from the main large ones. The statistics show that India is the largest exporter of beef in the world.

It is also alleged that most of the large slaughterhouses are owned by RSS leaders. By shutting down the smaller ones and diverting all the profits towards their own slaughter houses, they get the chunky moolah.

Do you know the catch, that the beef ban is restricted only to the sale in India, not the sale in abroad. Thus, in the process of falsification and communising the issue, they are eliminating the entire competition from the small slaughter houses. One stone two birds! A brilliant game there!

Also, these small slaughter houses are majorly owned by Dalits and Qureshis, and both are a crude competition to BJP government, which of course is not to the liking of the ruling party. And hence, the man lynching case in Bishara was not just another public outburst, it was well put-together political move, played by the “we know who” of the Indian political system! Anybody who plays cunning politics in the name of the religion, try to homogenise the target group because they know they will not get desired results with a heterogeneous one. A fallacious propaganda against Muslims and Dalits, that they are trying to harm Hindus’ “pious gau-maata”, is nothing but an attempt to build a justification for their sly political games.

Take over the free will to education by forcing irrational values and belief on younger brigade!

Promote Hinduism for their own ulterior motives!

Kill people in the name of religion

This is the government ruling us! I am not wary of saying that, if things keep marching ahead in this direction and like what they are, it’s not long before communal disharmony engulfs the entire country.

The one loud and clear action to prove that we are under an authoritarian government, is that they are trying to create a smoke screen. They are trying to believe that this tiny issue is our largest enemy and they are the protectors.

All this to veil their own creepy incompetence!

Before, I sign-off, I must tell you, born to a HINDU family, I am a HUMAN in all my right!

Be spiritual! Believe in God! Know your soul!

These and many such advices are screaming through in our lives by thousands on a daily basis! Yet, hardly a few of them actually understand what is it being said to us and what needs to be done! We almost always get confused between religion and spirituality and think they are the same. Are they? Let’s clear it out for you!

Broadly speaking, religion is all about worshipping something or someone, following a set of rules and performing rituals to praise your God, in order to find God! Spirituality on the other hand is all about you, your salvation, and your journey without any compulsions of rules or rituals.

If we look at them closely, these are two different ideologies with different processes and different results.

Let’s show you how:

1) Religion Ties You Down, Spirituality Sets You Free

Religion asks you to follow a way of life and adhere to certain principles with consequences to face if not done properly, but spirituality asks you to follow your heart and listen to your inner voice about right or wrong.

2) Religion Scares You, Spirituality Offers Courage

Any religion on the planet asks you to do this or that unless you want to face the punishment. Spirituality on the other hand lets you know that love conquers all and how you should stand tall in the face of worst possible fears without worrying about the consequences. Religion cuts your wings, spirituality gives you new ones!

3) Religions Preach, Spirituality Believe In Self-Learning

Every religion teaches a way to God, the path to be followed. Spirituality tells you to know yourself and make your own path as we all are different individuals with different sensibilities and needs. Seeking higher truth is the way of spirituality, following a well-trodden path is religion’s forte!

4) Multiple Religions, One Spirituality

There are a variety of religions, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Jewish, etc., all claiming to be the best while spirituality talks about the oneness of all. We all might be different human beings in various parts of the world, but at the core we all are same and made of the same matter. Hence the higher truth for all of us is going to be the same!

5) Religion Gives You Crutches, Spirituality Takes Them Away

When you follow a religion, you get an impression that only this religion and this way of life is good for you without knowing if there can be something more to life. Spirituality just gives you the freedom to be independent and take your own decisions and follow your inner calling. Deciding your own rights and wrongs with conviction help you listen to the call of your soul without anyone else telling you what is right or wrong!

For mere mortals like us, the easiest path is of religion as we are conditioned for spoon-feeding. But if you want to really grow as a human being and be at peace from inside-outside, the path is bit difficult, but enriching and that is the spiritual path! Without fear of punishment, without anyone else asking you to follow certain things out of fear, you can listen to your heart and do what it feels is right.

Think about it!
