Barbaric attacks by Jihadists (ISIS has claimed the responsibility) took scores of lives of innocent people. These co ordinated attacks happened in one of the concerts, soccer match and in few public places. Indians could easily reminisce the horrific night of 26 November Attacks, as the Paris attacks were done in same way.

November 13 2015 was one of the black days in our history. Paris was under the siege of violent attacks, there was suicide bomber attack in one of the funerals in Baghdad, Japan was hit with earthquake, twin suicide bombing took place in Lebanon.

Let us have a look how world united to show support against such heinous and bestial attacks.

Facebook and other social media sites and online portals showcased their solidarity.

People who are active on social media washed their display pictures in to blue white and red stripes. Also the Eiffel Tower peace sign became the symbol of support after attacks.

 Iconic buildings across all the worlds, including Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus was lit up in the colors of French Tricolor.

Almost every important landmark is illuminated  in blues, reds and whites. Tribute and prayers services are held in major cities and landmarks.

Tributes are pouring in.

Vigils are held around the globe, painted faces in colors of French flag, signages of Pray for Paris is across every nook and corner.

Help Service for the needy.

Taxi drivers are providing free rides to the people trying to get to safety. People are allowing victims to stay at their homes and are offering all kinds of help to the needy. These acts are a big blow to those trying to spread hatred.

3) Different Modes

Pakistan tries to hold dialogue with India, while at the same time tries to push militants inside Indian territory. If that is not enough, regular provocative firing happens on the border and then it raises the Kashmir issue at various international platforms to keep the issue burning and remain in everyone’s memory! Are you getting an idea about how to go about following your dreams or planning your work life? The world is burning in flames!

There is a global war happening without the usual scenarios associated with a war. On one hand Middle-East is burning while on the other hand Africa is fighting the war of poverty along with sectarian violence. Russia is flexing its muscles while India is still fighting Pakistan-sponsored terror. Europe, especially Germany, Britain and France are bearing the brunt of Islamic terrorism and America is fighting several battles combating terrorism in various parts of the world! Even the Southeast Asian nations like Malaysia and Thailand are not untouched by the biggest monster the world faces today, terrorism!

So what’s fuelling it? What is causing so many youngsters the world over to join the cause of terrorism and make sacrifices to kill other people? Is it only religion?

The obvious answer is of course religion and nothing else! However, if you probe deeper, you’ll find that religion is just a tool used by these hate-mongers to convey their message to the world and lure the innocent youngsters to walk on the path of fire without even realizing what they are getting into! The actual reason is something that has been in existence since the dawn of human civilization: Power!

Yes, the desire to rule the world, to be a supreme power, to be able to control the minds and lives of millions is what’s prompting the heads of all these terrorist organizations to wage a proxy-war. ‘Religion is the opium of the masses’ is a famous statement by Karl Marx and summarises why it is easy to convince anybody to let go of their rational mind and do evil things!

With limited resources on the planet and too many contenders to share them, injustice and empty stomachs are a common visual. Motivating someone to fight this disproportionate balance of power in the name of religion becomes easier and that’s why the youngsters’ mind can be easily brainwashed! The ones ruling these terrorist organizations have no value for human life and their objective is to only rule and grab power at any cost. For that purpose, even if they have to twist the meanings of original religious texts as per their convenience, they do it with great ease.

For all those young, impressionable minds, it is important to see through the plan and realize that is it futile to kill fellow human beings or sacrifice precious human life to serve the purpose of selective few, who have only to gain from terrorism in terms of financial benefits and power! The common terrorist is not fighting for any higher goals, but to fill his and his family’s empty stomach! Obviously there are some cold-blooded killers as well, but their numbers are far and few between who kill for thrills. The remaining ones are only misdirected youth who are taught wrong things and made to kill and die with no benefit to them!

No religion ever says violence is the answer! Period. All religions, no matter when and what kind of origin, they had, propagate love and peace for a better human life! The greed for more money and power corrupts the soul and when one doesn’t want to earn it by fair means and showcasing their talent they select the course of violence.

Let’s hope better sense prevails, education becomes as important as food and water, and a rational mind is able to differentiate between right and wrong!

To bring out that subtle layering of the character despite never ever been close to such a situation in real life requires talent only few actors can claim to possess. Angelina is surely one of them!

This was an action thriller made in 2010 starring Angelina playing the role of a Russian spy out to take revenge for the injustice done to her. Not only she looked glamorous, but also did some kick-ass action that was widely appreciated despite the film’s poor writing. Not to mention, the movie did some amazing box office business! She was already a mother to her adopted and natural born kids when she did the shooting and no one can say that she looked even a bit less for the part!

4) Lara Croft: Tomb Raider

Ever heard of a video-game being turned into a movie and still doing roaring business? Yes, this was the first of its kind way back in 2001 and immediately caught the imagination of an entire nation. Despite being panned critically, it did good business and everyone went gaga over Angelina’s portrayal of Lara Croft! However, initially Demi Moore and many other actresses were considered for the role because in the video-game the character is a big-breasted heroine, but Angelina made it her character and fitted into it like a pro! It can surely be one of her massive action movies to have become enormously commercially successful as well.

5) Mr. & Mrs. Smith

This may not be one of the biggest movies in terms of critical response, but it showed some sizzling chemistry between Angelina Jolie and her present husband, Brad Pitt! We are in the year 2015 and what happened way back in 1950-51 doesn’t matter!

Does it?

Well, trust us when we say that it is an important part of our history as a country and makes a big impact on our economy as a nation.

That was the year when independent India’s first Budget was released and one of the liabilities mentioned in Balance Sheet of India there was a huge amount of Rs. 300 crore due from Pakistan on account of share of pre-partition debt!

Now you get the idea what we are talking about?

Just imagine, from that year onwards, this entry is regularly made in the books and Pakistan has never paid it off despite India paying off its share of Rs. 50 crore soon after independence!

May be Rs. 300 crore is not a huge amount in today’s scenario where in other debts goes in lakhs of crores but in 1950-51, this amount was more than 10% of our total liabilities. In fact, it was almost 10 times of the country’s total external debt! How big is that?

Shall we give you an even bigger shock?

The government of India has kept the figure of Rs. 300 crore just like that even today, and has added no interest to it! Which means as average citizens, if we don’t pay on time, whether it is our taxes or loans or anything, we have to pay penalties and interest and what not. But for Pakistan, if they ever decide to pay, they are not required to pay any penalty or interest on this outstanding.

The amount was humungous in those days and even today it can come handy in financing various social initiatives to help make life of our citizens better in some manner at least.

So what are the government’s compulsions of not asking Pakistan to pay back what is rightfully ours? As far as other contentious issues are concerned regarding border, terrorism, Kashmir etc., they will obviously take time to be solved, but financial claims must be cleared. After all, Pakistan is getting billions of dollars from America and various other countries. It shouldn’t be a problem for them to pay off the basic principal if not with interest!

As a nation, we are trying to make relations smooth with our neighbour, taking steps to enhance the business relations, but then it doesn’t mean that we should not get back what are our legitimate dues!

The other option is for the government of India to show magnanimity, and write off the entire liability as charity to that country! That way we can really show that we are the big brother and we can afford to help out the ordinary citizens in that country even if they are routinely back-stabbing us!

But in that situation, will Pakistan ever accept India as Big Brother?

The answer is more towards the negative.

Well, let’s see when does the government act to make its books leaner and cleaner!

We worship only money!

Don’t we?

That surely seems to be the case, given all these talks about India Pakistan cricket match with a full-fledged series by this year end in UAE! What are the authorities, especially BCCI, thinking?

Yes, we do agree that any match between India and Pakistan would generate a tremendous amount of hype leading to money literally raining for both the cricket boards, but what is it at stake? Is it really worth the risk? Are Indian players guinea pigs for experimentation of this kind?

Firstly, cricketing ties between the two countries were snapped due to the ghastly terrorist incident in Mumbai on 26/11/08. The perpetrators of the same are roaming free in Pakistan devising new strategies to create terror in India.

Secondly, the new terrorist organization, Islamic State (IS) is very much active and growing rapidly in Middle East with Saudi Arabia led coalition being involved in military actions against Yemen based arm of the terrorist organization! Full fledged airstrikes are taking place in its backyard and going by the developments, unfortunately peace is not around the corner!

Thirdly, IS has made inroads into Pakistan and their recent act of terror is killing innocent people in a bus by indiscriminate firing!

With so much of instability, strong terrorist groups and obvious anti-India sentiment in Pakistan and in the growing propaganda of IS, is it safe to send our national cricket team to UAE (even if it’s a friendly nation) to play against Pakistan? What is the guarantee for the players’ security? What about the backlash and repercussions if Pakistan loses the matches or the entire series? Who is going to claim responsibility in case any mishap happens?

Frankly speaking, it will only help the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to fill up their empty coffers from the windfall this series will generate. India doesn’t need to play it! We can play at safer venues and with countries that reciprocate our hospitality and are not working against us behind our backs!

There is a feeling that people to people contact should be made strong, sporting ties help nations to get closer and bury the differences, but anybody can check the historical facts and will get a clear idea that till now, it hasn’t worked! We should not make our cricket players go through so much of stress for playing against Pakistan knowing clearly that their effort on the field will not be reciprocated adequately by people sitting in the corridors of power! The players need to play where they can enjoy without worrying about where has the latest bomb blast happened or where did the terrorist last opened fire and if they are next in line for a terror act!

Let’s urge the government that first try the diplomatic channels and use political will to mend the relations instead of using sports star to stand in the line of action!

Who Is She?

This girl, Amira Abase, was reported to have vanished into thin air from her home along with some of her friends in February in a bid to escape from her home and travel to Syria – currently the hub of ISIS activity.

There was a lot of hue and cry when the girls went missing, but now, the situation is horrifying! She seems to have willingly joined the ISIS and has recently tweeted a picture of herself enjoying delicious takeout dinner with her fellow-ISIS members.

What Is So Shocking About This?

What is the shocking part then? So many women have joined the ISIS to act as sex-slaves and midwives for ISIS men. Well, this girl is barely 15! At this age, she is willing to behead the people who are apparently ‘corrupting’ her religion. Not only that, joining the ISIS is a big step for any person – this is the most notorious terrorist organization in the world after the Al Qaeda.

What Is Her Role In The ISIS?

Her role? Jokingly, is just to mindlessly kill people who stand in the way of ISIS; a sad case of improper upbringing.

When she fled with her friends Kadiza Sultana, 16 and Shamima Begum, 15, only ISIS was on her mind. No sightseeing no party, no fun – only revenge against non-believers and anti-radical Muslims.

For a girl to be so bold to accept the ISIS and tweet pictures of her being ‘happy’ with them is sad and dismal to people who strive to attain peace every day.

She is apparently said to have travelled secretly through Turkey and then reached Raqqa, a city in Syria.

She operates on twitter by the alias, Bintt Abbas and captioned the alleged pic as ‘Dawla Takeaway’. Dawla is another name for ISIS.

History

Her history is all because of her father. Who is also a secret Jihadi who used to take his daughter to the flag-burning father of a runaway British jihadi schoolgirl yesterday admitted taking his daughter to an extremist rally when she was 13. However, Abase Hussen, the father blames the police for not stopping her at the airport – hilarious!

He took her to numerous hate-rallies organized by the banned terror group called Al-Muhajiroun. That is where her mind got corrupted and apparently blind-washed!

His entire family, including his wife takes part in violent rallies held by Muslim extremists where they burn flags and scream in rage against the US.

It is really shocking to see a girl who was once living the life of a young and happy teenager, living the life of an outlaw at this tender age! Not only is she now a probable wanted suspect, her life has now fallen apart after joining the ISIS – never can she be considered a ‘good person’ after this misdeed. That is why smartness is a factor you and everyone reading this post need to exercise regularly. After all, radicalism only leads to hate, violence, deaths and nothing in return!

Taslima Nasreen might just succumb to an attack on her by a Bangladeshi group of extremists.

Taslima Nasreen, one of the world’s most outspoken authors on topics like feminism, gender bias and anti-religious criticism is again under the ire of the Muslim community. The Bangladeshi author is now struggling to keep her life safe in spite of being targeted by several pro-Muslim groups who are hell-bent on removing all her work from the public’s reach.

She is one of the few authors like Salman Rushdie who are actually hated for their literary work especially since she writes on topics that question humanity, its social dogma and why women are objectified by men for sheer carnal pleasure.

Life History

Thanks to her fiery and outspoken tone, she had been banished from her home country, Bangladesh in 1994 and took asylum in the West like USA and European countries.

Even then, she published such works to register her angst against this society which treats women like garbage and always questioned the mentality of men – ‘they think with their penis and that a woman is simply an object for sex, nothing else more’, that’s what she always highlights.

She has taken shelter in India for some time hoping to stay as close as possible to her alma mater. However, in India too, she faced immense hate from all factions of the society who did not believe in what she writes and deemed her work devilish and culpable to society. Many of her books were burnt and she had to flee from Kolkata towards Delhi in order to protect her life. She even faces a mild ban on the sale of her books in West Bengal.

Battling for her life is one constant struggle in the life of Taslima, an author who has used the ‘power of the pen’ to question society, its abhorrent rules and why this society is so disrespectful and thankless to the contribution of women in this world.

She was put on house arrest in Delhi for some time. She even hoped for an Indian Citizenship but that was never granted, after all India does not want communal riots over literary work! She currently lives in India on a Swedish passport.

Death Threats

Taslima has faced innumerable threats from countless groups. But, this one is more terrifying since it is happening in front of everyone’s eyes – social media threats!

A Bangladeshi terror group called Ansarullah Bangla Team is now planning to travel to New Delhi (where she currently resides) and plan to kill her after entering West Bengal from the east border of India-Bangladesh.

Apparently, the group follows the ideologies of Anwar Al-Awlaki, a Yemeni al-Qaeda activist who was recently involved in the bloody lynching of America-based Indian writer Avijit Roy and microsite-blogger Washiqur Rahman this previous month for severely criticising Islam and its ideologies.

Are These Threats Credible?

Yes! This threat is grave and serious! The members of this team are brazen and vile! They post their hate messages online just before they attack and kill their victim. Before killing Avijit and Washiqur, they used the same formula of using radicalism and inciting fear within the writer’s mind.

However, Taslima has told the media, “It is scary. But as long as I live, I will not be silenced,”

Even intelligence sources from India and Bangladesh are working hard to protect her life, maybe she might be sent to some other country. Since Washiqur was attacked merely because he wished Taslima on her recent birthday and posted the super-controversial Charlie Hebdo pictures defaming Islam on his Facebook timeline.

Recently, Taslima’s Facebook page is getting 90% death threats and most of them are scary and seem legible!

Some posts read like this:

“Get ready for the afterlife,” one person posted.

“See you in hell,” wrote another.

Recently, the killers of Washiqur confessed that they are infiltrating into India and are planning to her assassinate her.

The ruling party of West Bengal, TMC had denied to comment since she is currently under the Central Government’s protection.

Taslima is seeking a meeting with Indian PM Narendra Modi for some urgent discussion regarding her life’s safety and an Indian citizenship for herself, but no statement has been released on it by the PMO.

Furious 7 broke all box-office records but the film was downloaded 2.59 million times worldwide on torrent networks in five days and India topped with 5, 78,000 downloads while Pakistan was second with 3, 21,000, followed by China with 2, 89,000 peer-to-peer torrent downloads.

“The piracy industry in India is Rs.1, 500 crore and much of it go to funding terror,” Moser Baer India chief executive Harish Dayani told IANS.

Film piracy can be more paying than drug-trafficking. The report says a pirated DVD made in Malaysia for 70 cents is marked up more than 1,000% and sold in London for about $9. “The profit margin is more than three times higher than the mark-up for Iranian heroin and higher than the profit from Columbian cocaine,” the report says. – Rand Corporation.
