Even a teenager or a child is observed to suffer from anxiety and depression. A problem that has been existing since ancient times, it is the reason the need of taking care of mental health is discussed in Gita Bhagawad. In the Epic war of Mahabharata, the determination and dedication of Arjun defined success. But it was not an easy path, as the fear, anxiety, and depressed situation all was a part of the building of an epic war by the Pandavas and Karavas.

Lord Krishna’s verse inspires the warriors who are fighting boldly for achieving their goals honestly and with determination.

Lord Krishna and his verses to face a depressed situation

According to the inspirational poems, as stated in Bhagwad Gita, Lord Krishna’s saying not only reduces anxiety at the same time enables one to deal with fear.

As he said:

Those people have control over their food habits and recreation. They are able to manage a better work-life balance, at the same time are able to maintain their sleep schedule can easily remove depression. Yog is the only and best way to remove the depressing situation and stay away from sadness or sorrow.

Lord Krishna spoke to give freedom from the mental burdens of sorrow, anger, and fear. As people are ignoring their mental health condition, they do not gain the strength to overcome hardships consistently.

In a position, unknowing, forcibly following their duties and responsibilities they overlook their mental peace. It slowly hampers physical health, lacking energy, side by side developing other problems.

It is why he said, that to give up the habit of worries and sadness an individual has to take refuge under the arms of Lord Krishna. But before that, the person has to renounce from duties. Krishna will take care of and liberate from sorrows and sadness.

While the Lord bestows Arjuna with blessing also consoles and directs him towards the path that ensures control over the mind. He said that the mind may be fickle and unable to take decisions. But it is not easy to train the mind to develop spirit and intellect. So he describes the need for practice and detachment.

Detachment to focus

Detachment is the only tool that can help the mind to concentrate and work with better intellect. Learning, thinking, and applying altogether require detachment. Above all, it is the way to keep the mind happy and free from sorrows.

Secondly, the power tool is a sole-hearted practice to avoid unrequired or desirable objects. Addictions and habituation should never be instigated as they will always make a person a slave of desire. Not achieving or getting this can put a person into severe anxiety and depression.

In Bhagawad Gita, Lord Krishna says to practice being the ruler of your own mind, it improves the intellect and enables you to handle depressed situations. At the same time, staying away from detachment can make a person a great leader.

He had 8 principal wives but had a special gesture of respect and love for her. It is one of the reasons that the Radha name is popular in Hinduism.

According to Vaishnavism, it mentions about devotion towards Lord Krishna was the greatest of Radhe. Despite several difficulties and hardships her dedication and devotion were alive. She stands and personifies the intensity of devotion towards the Lord.

Not Rukmini but Radhe Krishna are worshipped

Krishna one of their favorite wives was Rukmini but while worshipping it is the idol of Radhe and Krishna. When comparing with other God and goddesses, Shiva and Parvati or Lakshmi and Narayan it does not shows any similarity.

Somewhere, it is the power of the masculine that is observed when matching the idols of Radhe and Krishna, not Rukmini. As the avatar of Rukmini is described as the avatar of Lakshmi, it is her incarnation being the wife of Lord Krishna. But Radhe’s influences as a selfless lover, without bothering about age, status, and the community itself made her the epitome of love.

Her selfless love itself was Karma, she was dedicated to her duties for Lord Krishna and her devotion. It was a kind of meditation that delivered a sense of self-realization and duty toward Lord Krishna.

Creation and celebration of love in the Raas Leela within the forests of Vrindavan was due to the devotees Radhe. Lord Krishna had realized her dedication towards him, that despite of being married she could not stop herself. The beautiful vibes and music of the flutes attracted her to run to Gopal despite of society and community restrictions.

Radhe was elder than Krishna, so it is believed that he wanted her name to be taken before his name is taken. Her passion and support were strong that did not shatter due to the restriction of age, or dharma.

Vrindavan place to worship the love of Radha and Krishna

While roaming around the streets of Vrindavan the greeting of Radhe Krishna is heard. When in the town, the seamless and eternal love of Lord Krishna equally for Radha can be realized. As in mythological books, it is mentioned that he feels accomplished when her name is taken before him. The love and affection of Radhe have given him the pride to show the world about their selfless bonding.

The evergreen Raas Leela is still a festivity, people and her devotees take pride in greeting each other as Radha Rani.

Lord Krishna wanted her favorite Gopi’s name to be famous, it is the reason that Radha Rani’s idol is with him. So, their devotees pray to them together and greet Radhe Krishna. A gesture to show the world and the religion the meaning of love, eternity, and happiness that they had created through their guilt-free relationship surfaced with trust, dedication, and support towards each other.

Traditions have been a benchmark for people to explain their existence for millions of years. Therefore traditions help them to celebrate their community and also at the same time maintain their strength and confidence through religious learning and practices. Knowledge was limited years ago which was expressed through the preaches of religious thoughts. Lord Krishna has been the teacher for millions of years, he is believed to be the lord of the Kalyug. Each time there has been the birth of Lord Krishna in one form or the other. Even in modernism the traditional sentiments of Krishna remains valuable. Lord Krishna’s tools and preaches have given thoughts and meanings to his followers and believers.

Lord Krishna’s tools Remain as means of teaching in Modernism

Lord Krishna’s tools are less prone to weapons or symbols of war. He accompanies with himself the beauty of nature that recalls all ages from ancient to modernism. Flute and peacock feather beauty and attraction are not hidden to any of the generations.

Two of the most important symbols flute and peacock feather have influenced modernism. Modern time has adapted to understand the intensity of love and nature. Playing flute in the Tribhanga position indicates the relation of art, music, and nature. Indian art, music, and nature are undoubtedly present at the root of tradition and culture. Any religious events or practices or any cultural event, all are rooted in music, art, and culture.

In modern times there is always an attempt to use music and art forms to express the views or bring any changes to society. The sculptures of Mathura Museum depict states about different life stages of Lord Krishna. It points out the happiness and glory that existed with less spread of violence and hatred.

The modern world tries to look forward to using less violence and focusing on the depth of knowledge and nature. His preaching and his tools always focus to promote on better livelihood through intelligence. Krishna sits on a cow which points out his simplicity as a cowboy or shepherd. The cow is one of the holy animals of Hindu for which he is known as Gopal. The life of a minimalist is not related to the strength and power of a person. A simple life-leading person with few needs can rule the whole world. Altogether his three main and simple tools as Lord Krishna promotes love, simplicity, and the need for knowledge in the modern world.

Krishna Wears and Loves Yellow colors

Krishna is known as Shyam for his dark-colored skin. Despite being dark-skinned he was the favorite of all the females in his village Gokula. Dark skin Lord Krishna loves yellow color, mostly he is seen to wear yellow dhoti.

Despite being dark shaded Lord Krishna was the heartthrob of many which indicates that looks do not matter over intelligence and kindness. Krishna’s tools are simple but the most influential to modernism.

His preaches are believed by each even if they have or do not have any faith in God. Lord Krishna’s Verses are depicted in the holy book Gita but it has appeared as a learning or experience for all of us. Lord who had always clarified to enjoy life and have fun.

Instead of worrying intensely about the worst past, it is always better to gain experience and apply it in the future. Few essential facts should be kept in mind to remove unwanted troubles from life and tactfully overcome obstacles.

Quotes in Bhagavad Gita

Two of the popular verses from the mythology are followed even by the present generation. The philosophical quotes or verses have given rays of hope and strength to his followers.

“karmaṇy-evādhikāras te mā phaleṣhu kadāchana

mā karma-phala-hetur bhūr mā te saṅgo ’stvakarmaṇi”

One of the quotes is from Mahabharata which points out the mantra of survival with confidence. It describes the state of mind related to attachments to work and dedication. Dedication is the only thing that is essential for success in any kind of work or profession. But too much expectation for results may bring worries, stress, and disappointments.

Dedication to any duty should be done earnestly but you should not wait for its results. Always contribute to enjoy the present surrounded by learning skills and improve the ability to work till the end.

Often overthinking and expectations can destroy your confidence. On the contrary, it can also hamper further acts or duties in life. Concentrating on the present activity or process will always help in improving productivity. It stops the mind from diverging and keeps the mind free from worries making life enjoyable and satisfactory.

Lord Krishna’s Verses Anger Leads To Destruction

“krodhād bhavati sammohaḥ sammohāt smṛiti-vibhramaḥ

smṛiti-bhranśhād buddhi-nāśho buddhi-nāśhāt praṇaśhyati”

Did you ever feel the mess after losing your mind out of anger? It is a common emotion that often leads to destruction. An intelligent person is always believed to have a calm and peaceful nature. Whenever there is a mess it can be for two reasons, that is confusion and anger.

Out of anger, the mind stops thinking. Lord Krishna’s verses state that no one should take any decision when angry. Intelligence or the ability of thinking is affected which brings sadness and disappointment. Failures are often the end due to anger which leads to depression and one can also give up their confidence.

Verses of Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita specifically mention about Lust, anger and greed are the gateways to hell. These three negative qualities lead to destruction which does not allow a person to learn and work honestly.

All the qualities already state that happiness is a quality that can be developed from the person’s inner self. No one can find happiness in a materialistic world or from any external objects. Happiness just remains in the person’s state of mind.

It may be lord Krishna or his incarnation as Lord Rama in the epics they carry the lead in roles. By spreading useful lessons for the future.

Why are Hanuman and Arjuna compared?

They are different but at a point, Hanuman and Arjun are then compared for being the most skilled soldiers of their time.
Both have played a great role to win the end game after severe struggles. Both are fortunate who was able to see Lord Vishnu in the form of Krishna and Lord Rama.
Hanuman and Lord Vishnu are the two characters who have survived from Ramayan to Mahabharat. In the chariot, when Lord Krishna was with Arjun, somewhere Hanuman was hidden. The flag flying high in the chariot has the image of Hanuman that binds Hanuman and Arjun.

Who is more powerful? Hanuman or Arjun

Hanuman was a great disciple of Lord Rama. According to the mythology, it is also said that without the help of the King of Monkeys Rama would not have been able to rescue Sita. The strength of the King of Monkeys is incomparable. When he lifted the huge mountain to save the life of Lakshman. His power and intelligence did not blend with any touch of pride. His presence of mind and down to earth nature bound with his strength and confidence.
Hanuman was blessed with the divine powers of God. His skills of fighting with Gada, building the Rama Setu with the battalion of monkeys. They are not magical but the supreme power of strength and intelligence. Hanuman was a great leader and a person who resists ego to develop in himself. Till the end, he was with Rama to help him throughout the journey to kill the demon Ravana in Sri Lanka. Another remarkable skill was honesty and the ability to devote himself to Lord Rama.

While Arjuna was one of the intelligent warriors, his devotion was for his duty or dharma. It shows that he was an egoist despite being a powerful soldier of the Pandavas. Arjuna was one of the skilled warriors who was a great Archer through he convinced Lord Varuna to fill the pot with water.
Comparison of power of Two followers of Lord Vishnu
The main comparison of power is between Hanuman and Arjuna because they are the disciples of Lord Vishnu. It was difficult for Arjuna to introduce him as his disciple until he won the Kurukshetra. Sri Krishna has helped by motivating Arjuna when he was not able to develop confidence. Arjuna was a great devotee and believed in true dharma or duty. He was always committed to doing his duty irrespective of any situation or conditions.
Krishna had chosen Arjuna out of five brothers for his determination, intelligence and as a strong warrior.

While comparison of power for both the epic characters of Hanuman and Arjuna in Ramayana and Mahabharata, it is clear that Arjun was only a leader, Mahabharata. While in Ramayana he was a follower of Rama and leader as a King of Monkey!

Being the supreme of God as a creator of the universe has three main forms they are Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshwara.

With the power of these three, the entire earth is sustaining life as per the Hindu ideologies. The religion itself has given the freedom to believe in God as per their realization.
Different Forms of One God

India secularism different traditions

Along with the tradition of India, the beliefs in God and their forms varies. Each culture and tradition varies from a state to another. When the eastern part of India celebrates Durga Puja at the same time the western and northern part of India celebrates Navratri.

Lust, anger, and greed are the doorways to hell, no one can protect if anyone enhances of the three. History and mythology both have several examples that warn about the losses and defeat a person has to face.

As to the Brahma Kumaris, the act of lust is the brutal enemy of human; it is the way to hell. The version of the desire so-called lust that develops anger and greed should never be fed. Even the emperor had to give up their empire due to obsession and lust. The great emperor Allaudin Khilji lost his senses to possess Padmavati but owned nothing except ignorance, anger, and madness due to rejection.

Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan was never successful as a king due to his obsession with women. Finally, the Ravana demon with the ten head had to give up his life and empire for a woman “Sita”. After all, it becomes important to give up feeling when it cannot give any positive vibes to the soul and mankind.

As per Bhagavat Gita ways to hell

Lust

How is the feeling of lust? Never confuse love and lust, as the feeling may be similar somewhere but the attitude, as well as action, can make the changes. The feeling of lust is just for some time unless there is an obsession. According to the Bhagawat Gita, lust can destroy the power of thinking, make a slave and completely end self-realization.
The obsession can be for a person or more, but it cannot be love at all when it wants to occupy a person. When the mind turns to become a slave, cannot think better if it can do good or bad.

Greed

Greed is the habit of the desire for materialistic objects more and more. A person who is greedy will never be satisfied with anything. Greater they achieve the higher they want in their wallet. They are not close to the spiritual world, so they are not aware of destroying mankind.
People who lack closeness to the spiritual world does not realize about the problem, difficulties that other person may face due to their behaviors and greed. A greedy person will always try to achieve materialistic profits at any cost.
And as the connection to the spiritual world and mankind ends, evil begins
“Greed makes a man blind and foolish”.

Anger

Once again, Bhagawat Gita has mentioned anger as the biggest enemy of humans. Anger increases and slowly a person losses ability; the power to think. A person can do anything worst in anger but never benefit. Harming and destruction are two of the main loss to, mankind due to anger. In this stage a person losses thinking power to understand his situation as well as others. No longer the mind allows him to think better accept destroying or harming in the rivalry.
Hereby according to Lord Krishna, as mentioned in Bhagawat Gita that :
There are three gates to self–destruction, and pathways to hell: Lust, Greed, and anger.

So, it is during the battle Lord Krishna had preached about the realistic and philosophical teachings to the Great Warrior Arjuna. The immortal verses and preaches are brilliantly folded in the epic of Mahabharata celebrated on “Gita Jayanti”.

It was during the 18th day of the battle of Kurushetra when Arjuna wanted to give up as a warrior. During the battle, several innocent people had died that had shaken Arjuna who planned to drop his weapons. Lord Krishna, the incarnation of Vishnu preaches, convinces him to complete his duty as a Kshatriya instead of thinking about the deaths and the misgivings during the battle.

The active connection between the mind, body, and soul was mentioned while explaining the reality. The truth about the body that is not immortal but the soul are; Verses of the Upanishads with the philosophical believes are present. It was the day when the Bhagwat Gita was born; Lord Krishna’s preaching to the Warrior Arjuna is still believed in modern times.

Activities on Gita Jayanti

Specifically, the preaching from “Gita” the holy or sacred book is practiced regularly knowingly or unknowingly. It is celebrated worldwide as the preaching of Lord Krishna and the believer’s chants from the Vedas, Upanishads that are present in this sacred book.

The Birthday of Bhagawat Gita is celebrated mostly in November, according to the Hindu Calendar it is on the Shukla Paksha. On this specific and auspicious day, the followers of Lord Krishna celebrate the day by different rituals and chants by priests. Bhagawad Gita is the sacred book of the Hindu religion, on Jayanti, all the 700 verses are recited by the scholars.

On the 11th day of the Waxing moon, this day is auspiciously celebrated when the sermons are heard. ISKCON is one of the popular places where the recitals are carried out with Yagyas, arati, and other activities such as dance-dramas from the pieces of Mahabharata. This enables the followers and worshippers to understand the importance of the preaches of Krishna.

Kurukshetra is the longest battle that was fought for 18 days to win the dynasty of Hastinapura. According to Mahabharata the war between the Kauravas and Pandavas led to the greatest battle between the two families of Hastinapura. Lord Krishna did not participate in the war directly but had supported the war as the evil versus the good. So, Krishna helped and directed the Pandavas to fight the war and win the battle. The sermons that were recited by the lord while supporting and specifying to follow the right path are from the Mahabharata, though he did not directly participate in the war but was present as a charioteer.

Winning the Kurukshetra battle was possible at the fingertip for Krishna but he wanted the warriors to fight and win the battle with confidence. The importance of the Mahabharata and the recitals in Bhagavat Gita is still followed and the birthday is celebrated as Gita Jayanti.

Putting this in simple words means that what is funny for me, could be boring for you. What is sad for me could be quite funny for you! What is interesting for me, could be hurtful for you!

That’s saying, creativity has its own limitations in terms of saying or depicting the ideas one has. In our own mind, we have absolute freedom to think or imagine anything. The craziest of ideas or thoughts can take birth in our minds, but the problem arises when some of us cross the lines and put those ideas into action, for the world to witness.

Religion, not only in India, but globally is a very sensitive subject. No one, mark it, just no one has any rights or liberties to play with others’ faith or religion just for the sake of proving a point or showcase his/her creativity by downplaying someone’s revered Gods and Goddesses.

This is exactly what is happening these days when some artists are forgetting their responsibilities towards the society and are being insensitive towards the feelings of the common man.

Few days back there was a disgusting painting doing the rounds of internet showing Lord Ganesha, Jesus Christ, Moses, Buddha, all part of a sex orgy! The sick mentality of the artist was on full display to disregard the religious sentiments of disciples, just for a laugh! How sick is it?

The latest to add on this brigade is artist Akram Husaain. His recent painting in Guwahati depicting Lord Krishna getting intimate with bikini clad gopis in a bar created a lot of controversy and rightly so! It’s not about painter’s religion, but what he is trying to do. Lord Krishna has devout disciples not only in India, but the world over. Their religious sentiments have to be considered before trying to make their idol look like an average mortal doing acts of sin!

As a disciple, one places God on the highest possible pedestal of morality and sees HIM as the ultimate practitioner of ethics, as a light to guide during turbulent times, as the ultimate one to finally melt into. To paint that GOD as someone who is no different than others is actually playing with faith!

When everything is lost, a man turns to the ultimate power called God. However, if one realises that whom he considered as God can’t rescue him or is incapable of rescuing him, all hope will be lost! This is not just about a painting; one has to understand the repercussions that these have on ordinary mortals who may not be as intelligent and evolved as the artist considers himself to be!

Akram isn’t the only one though. Before him the Picasso of India, M. F. Hussain also experimented with nude portraits of Goddesses and had to eventually live in exile till he passed away.

There are a host of issues plaguing the world today, which have to be brought into light, which have to be spoken about so that humanity evolves. Issues like wars, terrorism, child malnutrition, sex-trade, etc are humungous enough to deal with rather than adding fuel to the fire by these irresponsible paintings!

It would be better for painters to use their craft to unite rather than divide by playing with emotions of common man! Don’t use the craft for some cheap publicity, but use the talent that God has bestowed on you for the betterment of society!
