Kal Ho Na Ho, also known as KHNH was a landmark movie in Bollywood, a proverbial romantic drama which was directed by Nikhil Advani, written by Karan Johar and Niranjan Iyengar and was jointly produced by Yash Johar and Karan Johar under. As soon as its release, the film became a textbook for love-struck teenage hearts and unrequited lovers who swore by the SRK dialogues when it came to wooing the ladylove or simply voicing the indispensable philosophies of life.

14 years have gone by since the release, and it still seems like yesterday we bunked school to catch a show and came out humming ‘Kuch to hua hai’. The key characters like Jaya Bachhan’s, Saif Ali Khan’s, Shahrukh Khan’s, Priety Zinta’s, Delnaz Paul’s, Dara Singh’s, Lilette Dubey’s and even Kanta Ben’s are fresh in our memory like morning daisies. Karan Johar regrets not directing it:

The story always lingered in Karan’s mind and he wanted to make a movie of it but later handed the task over to Nikhil Advani. Later in his book ‘An Unsuitable Boy’ , he regretted the decision of not directing the film himself.

There was a different name finalized for the movie:

This film was supposed to be named Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna but it was named Kal Ho Na Ho after the song ‘Aisa milan kal ho na ho’ from the Kajol-Saif starrer film Hamesha because Karan was sort of besotted by the song and it seemed to gel well with the story-line.

Priety turned a designer:

Priety Zinta designed the clothes for the dolls Gia played with which resembled the family members because she wanted them to look more Indian.

The red dress:

Whenever Priety Zinta wore the dress, things have gotten worse like the rain machine stopped working, shoot got cancelled so she held a contempt for it and thought it was jinxed.

The production had other options in mind to play Rohit:

The role of Rohit was offered to Abhishekh Bachhan and Vivek Oberoi respectively before Saif Ali Khan gave his nod to it.

The person shown as Naina’s father was the cinematographer of the film:

The guy who was shown as Naina’s father in the film who we later came to know more through the stream of depictions by the other characters, was none other than the cinematographer of the film, Anil Mehta.

Nikhil Advani was a strict director:

Nikhil Advani yelled his lungs out at everyone on the sets throughout the making of the film because he is a freaking perfectionist.

Kareena Kapoor was approached to play Naina:

Hadn’t Kareena have a bigger monetary demand to play Naina, the role would be hers but destiny wanted it to be Priety’s, so it happened.

The theme tune:

The theme tune ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’  was composed at a German Bakery in Pune by Loy Mendosa on Nikhil Advani’s wish to compose something similar to ‘My Heart will go on’ in Titanic.

Cameo Appearances:

Farah Khan and Karan Johar appeared in the movie. They were shown as customers at Jenny’s café.

SRK And His Family : Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are proud parents to – Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam Khan.

SRK and Gauri really worked very hard to achieve the success that they’ve now. Bollywood’s king khan, SRK, is a self-made actor, and he struggled a lot to achieve success.

SRK is not just a great actor today, but he is also an inspiration to so many people out there who are trying to achieve their dream.

Other than that, recently, in an interview, SRK was asked “what he wants to leave behind for his children”, and once again his answer won our hearts. As per PAGALPARROT, SRK said “I will keep little money for my children so that they don’t become poor”.

“I want my children to become independent.  I want them to work hard with passion, and to understand the essential keys in LIFE.” He went back to the time when he was a struggling actor, he didn’t have his own place to live when he came to Mumbai, and that’s why he also wants to leave a house for them.

Here’s exactly what he said “Because I never had a house before coming to Mumbai, so I wish to leave a house for them and of course provide them with amazing basic education. They live a basic life on their own will. We provide them with every requirement but we don’t have money saved for a rainy day to live-off.”

In short, he meant to say that he wants his children to earn money with their own talent. He will give them a house so that they’ll have a place to live, because once he never had a place to stay, and thus he don’t want his children to go through that phase.

One thing that grabs major attention is that, he is a man who believes that hard-work and passion can do anything.

Two of the major game changers of the indusrty involved in a verbal tiff! Isn’t it going to be a sight?

Well, both of them are waiting for their major releases before they bid adieus to 2015. SRK’s Dilwale and Deepika’s Bajirao Mastani are two most awaited flicks of the year and we are hoping that they will wind up the year on a positive note. Both the films are releasing on 18th December, 2015.

We know, it’s just one more day of anxiety before the two predicted blockbusters hit the theaters! Also, with the two films clashing, one expected a lot of drama between the two filmmakers and the actors of the films but nothing of that sort panned out.

In fact, earlier only Bajirao Mastani faced the wrath of controversies but now  Dilwale fell under the scrutiny of political party, MNS, who started a boycotting spree. Now, if we may ask, how exactly a hate campaign got loaded only in the last week of film release and not before that, ever since heavy film promotions were going on at various platforms?

Isn’t it just another marketing gimmick?

Whatever that may be, let’s divert our attention to a rather spicy drama that took place amongst the elad actors of the flicks, and that too in open, for all to see.

It occurred during a promotional event of Dilwale where SRK was  quoted saying, “The other film (Bajirao Mastani) is also made by friends. Our genre is more family and happy-go-lucky kind. Their genre is niche and historical. For both films, audience will come in at different time and watch it. Both are really nice movies.”

Boom!!

And the blast took place. News is, that this didn’t go down well with Mastani Deepika she raised an objection saying, “I wouldn’t call Bajirao as niche at all. In fact, one of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s strength is, that in a film like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam or Devdas or Ram Leela, or even Black, he has his way of story-telling and yet he makes his movies globally appealing.” No no, she didn’t stop here! She has her own authority you see, and is not afraid of SRK anymore. She added “I don’t know what Shah Rukh meant when he called the film niche, but both are totally different genres. I have worked with both the directors and know what both of them have to offer are very, very different. Even as an audience you won’t be able to compare the two, one is action, comedy romance while Bajirao Mastani is completely different.”
