How Different These 10 Films Would Be If the Three Khans Starred In Them!

It is a known fact that Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir – the Khans of Bollywood – have never featured in a film together.

But wouldn’t it be nice if that happened? Well, that’s a topic for the future and in all honesty, depends on the directors if they can handle three individuals of that stature under the same roof.

The Khans have claimed to be “friends” on more than one occasion and let’s pretend that is a fact.

So how would it be if the Khans came together for a film? Let us browse through the industry’s history and portray the Khans in place of some of the favourite Bollywood roles that we have admired till date –

Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (1958)

Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (1958)

Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi is a comedy film that features brothers – Kishore Kumar, Ashok Kumar and Anoop Kumar – as the star cast. Now, we know that the Kumar brothers displayed chemistry in the best possible manner. Would the Khans be able to replicate the same?

Padosan (1968)

Padosan (1968)

Padosan is another classic Bollywood comedy film with an ensemble cast starring Sunil Dutt, Kishore Kumar and Mehmood in the lead roles. It is hard to decipher as to which Khan would play the Tamilian music teacher or the love struck Bhola and his friend Guru Vidyapati.

Bombay to Goa (1972)

Bombay to Goa (1972)

Did you know Bombay to Goa was the first Amitabh Bachchan film to have him in the lead? Nevertheless, the movie also had other two important characters Mehmood (the bus conductor) and Shatrughan Sinha (the antagonist). The Khans could definitely form a handsome trio and make this movie a bigger hit than it already was.

Sholay (1975)

Just picture the three Khans donning the roles of Jai, Veeru and Thakur Baldev Singh and uniting to fight a common enemy Gabbar Singh. The Khans may or may not be the best of friends in real life, but watching their chemistry on reel is something every Bollywood lover would like.

Amar Akbar Anthony (1977)

Hindi action comedy films are plenty, but none of them come close to Amar Akbar Anthony. Rishi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Vinod Khanna are very diverse actors than the Khans. Can the Khans do justice if the movie is remade with them in the lead cast?

Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro (1983)

Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro (1983)

Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro is one of the few cult classic films of Bollywood. Starring Naseeruddin Shah and Ravi Baswani in the lead, the movie was not an instant hit. But add the Khans to it and get one of them to play the supporting character by Om Puri and this movie would blow the roof off the stadium for sure.

Hum (1991)

Hum (1991)

Hum – another film starring Big B and one of the three Khans to match his calibre. This time around, it also stars Rajinikanth and Govinda alongside Amitabh Bachchan. If the film is remade, it would be quite an interesting show to watch as to who gets the reigns of the film and whether that Khan fills the shoes of Big B perfectly or not.

Delhi Belly (2011)

Aamir Khan was one of the producers for Delhi Belly; well, why not act in it, too? Sounds plausible right? All he could have done is bring together the other two Khans and form the amazing ‘threesome’.

Gangs of Wasseypur (2012)

Gangs of Wasseypur received rave reviews upon its release. Intense characterisation for actors is one of the reasons why the movie was a major hit. Again, acting like Manoj Bajpai, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Piyush Mishra is not the Khans’ forte. It’s a very difficult recasting choice.

Go Goa Gone (2013)

Even though Go Goa Gone received positive reviews from critics, the Indian audiences proved that they are not yet ready for zombie films. But would movie have been a box-office flow had the Khans starred in it? We doubt that.

The 10 films listed above would definitely carry panache and quality different than ever. In what other films would you want the Khans to come together? Do let us know!!
