Aishwarya won two Best Actress award at Filmfare for appearing in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999) and Devdas (2003).

Ideally as per reports the perfect lips are the ones where the upper lip is in the shape of a cupid bow.   Also just make sure the measurement is 1.1cms from the bottom of the nose to the top part of the upper lip i.e. from where the color of your lip starts and not exactly the topmost part.

If you have these criteria naturally then great otherwise we can always bank on the make-up.

You can convert the lip line with a concealer. Draw a heavy concealer outwards if you have a bigger gap between the bottom of your nose to the color start of your upper lip. If the gap is 1.1cms or less then a thin concealer would do.

Concealer in many DIY tutorials is shown to be important as it adds the plump factor and highlights your lovely lips.

The lip pencil can then be used around the lips inside the area outlined by the concealer. Here also you can play around with the thickness of the liner.

The lining inside the concealer is the most crucial one as it decides the shape of the lips you would want to flaunt. Make the cupid bow shape edging the outer ends of your lips. 

The shade of the lipstick that you want to put can be used now in the entire surface outlined by liner that is again outlined by concealer.

If you still want to add little more pouty effect to your lips, then you can dab concealer in the middle of your lips to highlight the pout.

Not quite Cannes-worthy for us. What about you guys?

How many times have you paired your favourite pair of shoes with every outfit possible? Kangna Ranaut is just like us too. She has these trusted pair of nude heels that she pairs with almost everything. From dresses to pants to cut-outs to jumpies, she never goes out without them. At a time when most of her contemporaries are flaunting their latest shoes, Kangna makes a fashion statement that’s far more impactful than the Sonams of Bollywood.

Priyanka Chopra:
She was perhaps the first celeb to openly start a campaign on Twitter to let celebs recycle their clothes. She received a lot of support from her fans who also vowed to repeat their favourite pieces. PeeCee loves to strut her stuff in a pair of black tights that look rather chic on her. If we had a pair that fit us so snugly, we would be wearing them to bed too!

Katrina Kaif:
The stunner knows that red is her colour. And that’s precisely why she has worn this dazzling gown on more than one occasion. The bondage-back dress is a gorgeous one and it would be a crime to not wear it more often. She doesn’t even bother to style differently, except may be the pair of earrings. It’s a wonderful message to young girls out there who are always trying to do something that goes against their personalities. It’s okay to have meh hair and elegant-bordering-on-boring accessories. It’s okay!

Shazahn Padamsee:
The starlet sure seems to love her LBD (it’s on our lust-list as well). On two occasions, the petite actress was caught doing the same dress. Even though she styled her looks differently, she kept the basic theme and her blingy pair of shoes the same. We like.

Chitrangada Singh:
We love to hang out in distressed jeans as they are comfy, cool and very ‘in’. But what happens when we love a particular pair that we just can’t do without it? We pull a Chitrangada (ala repeat the pants), of course. Check out how the pretty lady has even kept her glasses, big hair and shoes the same. Looking as sexy as ever, girl!

Lace is a material that’s extremely tough to pull off. Even the best of us can look tacky and rather stupid in a lace dress.

Sonakshi Sinha, despite her recent upped fashion Q, was no exception. Her head-to-toe white ASOS lace dress was one of the worst spotting of the week.

Just when we thought that the masala heroine was silencing her fashion critics with her sartorial choices, she does this white disaster and makes us shake our heads in horror. Well, here’s what’s wrong with her lacy outfit. Read on:

The outfit:
We aren’t big fans of the lace dress itself. The neon-esque white is making Sona look darker than she is. Perhaps that’s why white is considered such a tricky colour as it can either elevate your looks or pull you down the drain…like this appearance. The length of the dress is bit of an issue too, we wish it were a tiny bit longer. May be then it wouldn’t have looked so tacktastic. We are not sure if she was going for ‘peppy’ with her outfit, but it sure looks like she miscalculated and ended up looking frumpy. In fact, the little lace dress is something very few Indians can carry off as we just don’t have the skin tone for it.

Make-up and hair:
The right foundation and lips and eyes are crucial when doing white. It’s such a complicated shade, despite its dullness, that it can make you look either washed out or too dark. Sona definitely falls in the latter category as her blotchy make-up with traces of white/silver eyeshadow is making her look tanned and burnt. Fresh-faced look with a smidgen of gloss (or red lips) would have been ideal for this outfit. And when you’re sporting a dress this overwhelming (what with that eyesore of a necklace), you should NOT go for big hair. Simply not. An elegant pony or simple side-swept hair would have looked a lot better than waves.

Accessories:
If she really wanted to pair her dress with chunky stuff, she should have opted for long chains in silver instead of this beaded horror from Atelier Mon. The necklace is doing nothing to the dress and we are still wondering what made her wear it. If that wasn’t enough, she decided to go for blinding white pumps and a Dior bejewelled bag. It would have been so much better if she had sported a pair of nude/peach/rose pumps instead on these. And the bag? Let’s not even talk about it…especially, about those strings.

The current toasts of Bollywood, Sona and Ilena, were spotted in dotted dresses at a recent event. While both rocked their respective outfits, one of them absolutely rocked it out of the park. As you unwind on a lazy Sunday evening, we tell you which actress did complete justice to her dotted dress. Was it Sona or Ileana? Read on:

The dress:
polka dots never really go out fashion. There’s something very sexy about these and that’s exactly what works for these girls. While Sona cinches the waist with a white belt, Ileana lets the dress speak for itself. We do like the former’s addition as it makes the look more ‘put-together’. We also have a slight issue with Ileana’s dress’ length. It should have been a tad shorter, because it’s looking more like matronly outfit than a sexy Sunday brunch sort of affair. Call us biased, but w love our polkas to be big and bold, much like Sonakshi’s. They are somehow more bohemian and flirty than tiny dots. Do you agree with us? Clearly, this round belongs to the Dabangg heroine.

Make-up and hair:
Both the ladies have done up their faces and hair in flawless fashion. But if we had to pick a favourite, we would naturally opt for Sonakshi, because of the lippie’s shade. The hot pink works wonders for her dusky skin, and let’s not forget that’s it’s the ideal summer shade. Ilean’s make-up and hair are great too, but her dark lips are too fierce, making her look older than she is. Both of them have gone the classy soft waves route, which is a great thing. Considering how busy their outfits already is. We are going to give this one to Sona too. Agree?

Accessories:
Kudos to these ladies for skipping those loud and jarring accessories and opting for tiny pair of studs instead. We like, we like! Ileana’s earrings are classier, thanks to her royals lips and elegant nail colour, while Sona keeps her earrings casual yet trendy. We are calling this one a tie as both the lpretty ladies have done justice to their respective outfits by pairing their earrings well.

Shoes:
This is a no-brainer, actually. Ilean’s strappy heels have no place here. None whatsoever. Apart from being ugly, they are taking the elegance away from her beautiful dress. Such a shame, really. Sona, on the other hand, picks sexy pair that may be a bit mathcy-matchy, but goes perfectly with her outfit. This round is again going to Sonakshi.

We have been huge fans of her vivacious prints and classy cuts. From wearing A-listers to doing runway clothes, Ranaut has done it all. We loved her in pulled-back ponytails to her crazy curls to waves. Despite having been criticised for her lack of fashion sense, the diva has continued to experiment and grow. A true sign of a diva. The Sonams and Deepikas may be a hot a favorite with youngsters, when it comes to fashion. But the Ranaut babe is slowly changing all that. We sure approve.

Simple, yet stylish:
What we absolutely love about her is that she wears simple outfits, which are high on style quotient. They might not scream ‘sexy’ all the time, but they do make you give her a second look. That’s pretty rare, considering that she doesn’t have the advance of height like her contemporaries like Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor. She is rather short and thin, which might not be ideal when it comes to being a fashionista. But that hasn’t stopped her from turning the trend around. That’s exactly what we love about this spunky girl. She doesn’t go by rules, in fact, she makes her one. She might not be a Cannes-favorite yet, but she will be there. SOON.

Comfortable in her skin:
Whenever she is out promoting her films, she doesn’t shy away from flaunting her wild curls. They are untamed and sexy and she let’s them be. Unlike her competitors, who go for various different styles with each outfit in a bid to be trend-setters. She is so comfortable in her own skin, which is so endearing. It’s a healthy sign to youngsters to love what they have. If you have silky, straight and limp hair, be happy. If your hair is big and unmanageable, be happier. Don’t try to fit into the moulds set up by people as it can really make your feel inferior. Do you want that?

Indian is COOL too:
One of the few actresses to do Indian wear, she has brought the anarkalis and kurtas back in vogue. We love her understated sarees and gorgeous anarkali suits. Along with her chic western wear, she wears a lot of Indian too. Even though they were ‘in-character’ appearances, she does make a strong impression. We love that! What we love the most about this powerhouse actress is that she believes in the adage ‘ less is more’. Whenever she is out promoting her movies, she is seen in minimal make-up and accessories. Whether it’s her nude make-up or no-jewellery look, she totally rocks the minimalistic look. Her message is loud and clear, you don’t need anything excess to look striking.

We are so digging this Tarrun Tahiliani dhoti-sari that it’s already on our lust-list. The sexy drape suits the leggy lass well, unlike conventional saris that can make thin actresses look even thinner. We love the net detail on her blouse, which is offering a teensy bit of oomph to her otherwise sophisticate outfit. We love! A sari this plain, most women would have been washed out, but not Ms Kapoor. She knows exactly how to pair her outfits with. Double thumbs up for choosing white over colour. Somehow it feels like summer. You agree?

Hair and make-up:
Anything other than her hair up, and this would have been disaster. Considering how she went blingy on her neck. The no-nonsense smoothed back, ultra glam bun is elevating this look like no other. We don’t have pictures of her back, but we are pretty sure that the bun is anything but messy and is neatly pinned in places to not draw the attention away from her TT sari. The make-up is flawless as well. Most women would have been tempted to go bold on lips, as the sari is pretty dull. But this is one outfit that’s rather subtle, adding pop via lips would have totally undone the look. May be that’s why she is the reigning fashionista of Bollywood?

Accessories:
In keeping with the theme of black and white, she opted for a black Bottega Veneta clutch that’s adding the right zing to her outfit. We love how she has chosen the perfect size for the clutch, Not many get that right! So how does Ms Kapoor add jazz to this outfit? By pairing it with a dazzling statement necklace that’s one of the most gorgeous pieces of jewelry we have seen in a long time. We. Want. It. NOW! What about you guys? She kept everything else nude. We approve.

Shoes:
Well, these strappy heels are a no-brainer, really. Anything else would have looked ‘meh’. Strappy heels look especially nice on tall women who have luscious legs. We like how the heels are adding a faint ‘dainty’ touch to her outfit. If she had chosen a closed-feet pair of shoes, it wouldn’t have looked great at all. We are a happy lot!

The petite actress who has slowly but surely made a name for herself in Bollywood seems to be failing in the sartorial sense. Either she has become overconfident or suffered temporary insanity, because nothing else can explain why she turned up at a recent awards night in this horror of an outfit.

Nothing about this Nishka Lulla separates works for her, not even the pop of red lips. It’s time she fired her stylist and took a long vacation to leave this debacle behind. Here’s analysing her fashion ‘oops’ moment. Read on:

Make-up and hair:
We understand how important a pop of red is to an all-white outfit, but this shade is just not working for her. The red is too stark against the ghostly make-up and hair and looks like it was painted on at the last minute because, well, that’s the text book approach to brighten an outfit. It’s one of the worst hairstyles we have seen in recent times and we do hope that nobody, nobody repeats this in public. A simple high pony would have salvaged this look as the curls are too dramatic against the bright lips. Looks like she was getting ready to play the lead in a school play, and changed her mind at the last minute.

The outfit:
Separates are a huge with Bollywood babes and Ms Bhaskar is no exception. But THIS? It’s definitely one of the worst to be showcased in public.The silver-ish top with an awkward bodice and the high-waisted pants are straight out of a bad 70s movie. We are just not fans of the shirt that seems to be made of silver foil. But what’s adding insult to injury is her undergarment that can been seen via her semi-sheer shirt. The pants are neither attractively cut or sexily fit, they look like they were borrowed from somebody who was too happy to get rid of them.

The geeky glasses:
Yes, yes, they are a rage. But pairing such an unattractive frame with a disastrous outfit is simply not done. She is not only looking five years older, but her bright lips are looking even more horrible due to the bad frame and terrible eye make-up. The rule when wearing glasses is to play up one element, and not paint your face like a clown. She should have skipped the glasses at home or worn contacts. Because it’s , well, ugly.

The shoes:
Our eyes are hurting right now, because of this hideous pair of shoes. Why pair such a fierce pair with an already bold outfit and red lips? The black is just not complimenting any part of the outfit. Wouldn’t something that didn’t scream ‘horrible’ would have been a better bet? It’s nightmarish to even think that she stepped out of her house in those shoes and outfit and held a smile throughout the evening. Kudos to her for being such a sport. But it’s such a pity, considering what a fantastic actress she is!

The pose:
What’s really undoing it for the babe is her pose. Even she seems unsure about how to play up her outfit. The pursed lips-meets-casual-hands-in-pockets’ is a look that nervous newcomers resort to. Not those who have had a brilliant run at the BO. May be she forgot to brush…why else would she not smile and make the pose a bearable one?

We were quite sad to feature Swara on this list as she happens to be one of our favourite actresses. We do hope that she would be better dressed the next time and give us no complains in the fashion department.
