2. Garlic

Having the strongest fragrance, garlic is another effective remedy that can kill all the lice in your hair.

Take about 10 cloves pf garlic and make into a paste. Now mix this paste with some lemon juice and throughly apply to the scalp, letting it aside for about one hour. Rinse your hair throughly with some hot water.

3. Salt

Desiccation of salt removes lice. Mix about 1/4^th of salt into 1/4^th of vinegar and spray the solution onto the hair. Leave the hair for about one hour with a shower cap on and rinse it throughly.

4. Sesame Seeds Oil

Sesame seeds oil being high on antibacterial and anti-fungal properties helps most effectively for the removal of lice from your hair.

Mix about 1/4^th cup of sesame seeds oil, 1/8^th cup of neem oil, one and half teaspoon of rosemary and eucalyptus oil and finally  about ten drops of lavender essential oil. Apply this to your hair and rinse it throughly with apple cider vinegar. Apply coconut oil and leave it overnight. Comb your hair to remove lice and then rinse with shampoo.

5. Coconut oil

Application of large quantity of coconut oil prevents the free movement or crawling of lice in the hair. This also stops them from reproducing. Wash your hair with apple cider vinegar, let it dry and apply coconut oil andleave the hair with coconut oil over night. Comb your hair in the morning to remove the lice and rinse it throughly.

Apply, scrub and rinse off the exfoliant with warm water. If you want you can add a tablespoon of yogurt and a bit of honey o the lemon and salt paste. Also, note that you can steam your face before doing scrubbing above to open up the pores for deeper cleaning 

4. Use baking soda and toothbrush to exfoliate

Baking soda does wonders in cleaning process as it one of the natural cleansers and that’s why it helps to clean out pores and grimy dead skin cells too.

Take little amount of baking soda and a bit of water to create a paste, and then gently scrub in a circular motion overheads affected areas of your face and slowly exfoliate the parts with a toothbrush. Allow it to dry for 5-10 minutes and later rinse off and dab the area dry with a clean cloth.

5. Egg White Mask

Egg whites mask is one the simple ways to get rid of blackheads for it aids to tighten pores, thus leading to removal and reducing chances of blackheads.

Make sure that you don’t rub the towel or tissue hard over the boils as that can make the skin loose and cause beak-outs. In fact, you should keep drinking water and other fluids throughout the day to keep your skin hydrated.

Ice, ice baby:
It’s the easiest way to keep your pores clean and germ-free. Rub an ice cube all over your face, all through the day to keep your face boil-free. Heat boils break-out due to, well, heat and sweat. And ice helps keep your face clean and fresh. You can also add mint leaves to the, before freezing it. As mint is also an excellent cooling agent, along with being a great antiseptic.

Don’t pop it:
You might be tempted to pop it and drain it as soon as it appears on your face. But that will worsen the situation and even cause break-outs and leave marks on your face. While aiding the boil to burst or drain with a heat-induced dressing is fine, it’s never a good idea to pop it with your fingers. Your nails contain bacteria that can further irritate your skin and even infect the boil with germs. It’s better to let nature handle this. Most heat boils on the face will drain within 3-4 days. If not, consult a doctor. But these boils are different from the infection-based boils that form on your body.

Make-up free for a week:
Girl, it’s time to skip on the concealer, foundation and even sun screen till the boil has healed. If you must step out in the what, cover your face with a cotton cloth and leave the sun screen for your hands and neck alone. Make-up and chemicals will cause more irritation and break-outs that can cause permanent damage to your skin. Always keep the boils covered in cloth when out in the sun, as heat wi further infuriate the boils.

Hands are a very important of your beauty regime. Because we do so many things with our hands and fingers, they are quite difficult to maintain. But a regular manicure is very important.

It will keep your hands healthy and dirt-free. But spending a bomb on parlours is not practical. So here’s an easy step-by-step guide to getting a salon-like manicure at home. Read on…

Things you need:
A tub filled with warm water
Towels and tissues
Hand soak
Nail filing set
Cuticle pusher
Hand moisturizer
Top coat and base coat
Nail polish and remover
Olive oil
Baby shampoo
Brush

Step 1:
Remove your old nail paint by applying a generous amount of remover on it. Use a cotton ball to remove the paint. Now apply olive oil on your nails. Removers have harmful chemicals that can make your nails brittle, so applying a bit of olive oil will restore the natural moisture. After about ten minutes, use a fresh cotton ball to remove the oil.

Step 2:
Take the tub filled with warm water and soak your hands in it for about ten-fifteen minutes. Remove your hands from the water and wrap them around in a towel or pat them dry with a tissue. Once they are clean, bring out your filing set. Start by clipping your nails and shaping them using the nail shaper. Once you have the desired length and shape, immerse them in water again.

Step 3:
Add two-three drops of hand soak or baby shampoo in the water and gently make lather with your hands. Soak them for a good twenty minutes, before using the filing set and cuticle pusher on them. You may even apply a cuticle remover to gently scrub away callouses and cuticle from the nails. Use the brush to clean your fingers thoroughly.

Step 4:
Now is the time to pamper yourself silly. Work the hand moisturiser on your nails and hands and all the way till the wrist. You might even use a cream-based moisturiser to make your hands extra soft and supple.

Step 5:
Now that your hands are looking beautiful, time to add the final touch. Apply a base coat on your nails with just a single stroke. Now apply the polish if your choice and leave them to dry. Once your polish is dry, add a clear top coat to it (don’t repeat the polish as it chips away faster). You may reapply the top coat every two days to keep the paint from chipping away.

Bare neck:
It’s a good idea to go easy on your neck when you’re wearing sheer. This way, all the focus is on the sari and not your blingy piece. While wearing statement necklace over your sari is a damn good idea, it might clash horribly with a sari this bold. Also, your fancy blouse will look too jarring against a neck piece. If you must wear one, go for a choker so there is enough gap between the piece and your drape to make it look striking.

If sheer is not your fabric, do not wear it. Because if you can’t wear it with confidence, it will not look good on you.

Very vintage and very, very Valentine Day-esque, this spiral hairstyle will make you the centre of attraction wherever you go. It may be a tad complicated, but it’s definitely worth the efforts. Section off your hair into four bunches and grab each bunch into a roller. Spray on a long-lasting hairspray while the hair is rolled up and gently remove the roller to create a spiral. Pin up the spiral at the centre of your head and continue with the rest of the bunches. Spray on more hairspray and dust your hair with gold/copper shiny powder to give your spirals a better definition. (Light-haired women should opt for gold, while dark-haired ladies should go for copper).

Plain Jane:
If you’re not in the mood for anything fancy, try this classic half and half. Neatly brush out your hair and take a bunch of hair from both sides of your head. Run a comb through the bunches before twisting them together to form a knot. The trick is to use your hair as the rubber band. Now spray on some dry shampoo and wetting gel to create a messy look.

The high low:
This one is an edgy hairdo that most people love. All you have to do is gather a massive chunk of your hair and low braid them/make a bun with messy strands popping out here and there. We all love a little bit of drama, don’t we? Whether it’s the lips or eyes, women want to look smoking hot. While mascara and eyeliners are perfect for dreamy eyes, it’s the fake lashes that really bring out the wild side in a woman. But what many women do while putting fake lashes is that they forget to follow the proper procedure, which can make the lashes look extremely fake and wannabe. The trick is to make them look as close to your own lashes as possible. We tell you ways to wear your lashes right. Take a look!

Trick # 1:
Use your eyeliner brush (the angular one used for gel-based liner) to smudge a bit of skin-friendly glue on to your upper waterline. Instead of directly applying the adhesive to your waterline, use a brush as it not only makes the sticking process easier, but also gives it an even coating. The same goes for your lower waterline too. But make sure to use a thinner brush as you can accidently spill glue into your eyes when using a broad brush.

Trick # 2:
Curl your fake lashes like you would your own ones and then stick them to your eyelids. Because our lashes return to their normal position after a while in the dry air, that’s why you need to curl them before using them. Remember, this is just the base coat mascara or clear mascara. You can wear tinted mascara once your fakes are in place. The base coat will also help keep your lashes lively and shiny.

Trick #3:
Before applying the lashes, make sure that they are trimmed to match your eye size and shape. If you have oval-shaped eyes, almost any length and style of lashes will work on you. But if you small and close set eyes, go for wispy lashes so that they don’t hide your eyes completely. For bug eyes, the longer the lashes, the merrier! Use nail scissors to trim them as they can droop unflatteringly if they don’t match your eye size.

Trick #4:
As the fake lashes tend to stand erect after a while, it’s important to bend the edges to form a C before attaching them to your own lashes. The C-shaped lashes will merge perfectly with your own lashes and not poke you in the corners either! If the fakes are not bending properly, use a little bit of moisturizer to bend them effortlessly. You could also use a tiny drop of glue to fix them into C!

Trick #5:
Oily eyelids can ruin your make-up and make them look out of place. So always blot out the extra oil by using a blotting paper or by powdering the lids with translucent compact. When you attach the lashes after removing the excess oil, it will stick faster and last longer too. If you have extremely dry skin, use a bit of moisturizer on the lids so that your lashes don’t pull on your skin.

Trick #6:
If you’re beginner, start with accent or half lashes, which will cover only half of your outer lashes. Hence, they are super easy to stick and anybody can get dramatic eyes in minutes. While it lacks the full bodied beauty of the long fakes, the shorter version works well for those with trembling fingers and unstable hands.
