Smart gadgets – Our lives are desolate without technology and with the advancement of the same it only betters.

Smart gadgets that we have so far been introduced with have saved us time and minimized our labour, here’s referring to everything, ranging from the kitchen appliances, music players and cars. These gadgets lose their potency with the course of years and are replaced by a slew of new ones, that’s how technology rolls.

But still some gadgets have been so ahead of their times that they always bucked new trend and carved a niche in our hearts. The gadgets freaks will probably remember them but we are giving a gentle reminder here about the gadgets that were really worth your while once:

Smart gadgets –

1 – PalmPilot:

It helped sync your data and what’s more, the idea in its entirety generated with PalmPilot. The gadget was introduced in the year 1997 and was one of the first personal digital assistances. It could run apps that helped you make notes, arrange schedules, and organize your business contacts. It also supported WiFi.

2 – Apple Message Pad 2000/2100:

Also known as Apple Newton, this was the predecessor of the modern iPad. It helped you jotting down notes, translate them into text characters, converting handwriting into texts et al. But it was a failure back then and fell flat on its mouth in the market at large.

3 – Polaroid Polavision:

It belongs from the technological masterpieces which could record a video straight to video cassettes. The home movie shooting enthusiasts could turn them into VCR for instant payback. In one word, you could call it a ‘videobox’. You could use these to view video memories but it only worked with polaroid cameras.

4 – DynaBook:

It was an advanced computer design which was designed by Alan Kay, one of the founding fathers of programming technology. This slate design had an LCD and a complete keyboard for typing. This was the forefather of tablets and iPads, a way futuristic concept so to speak. It ran on Windows Operating system but the slow touchscreen now seems pretty oldschool.

5 – Sony Glasstron:

It was a fad during the 90s’, a kind of head-mounted display. This leaded you into the virtual reality and helped you explore idyllic landscape with a better vision. This gadgets had a lot of promise with two LED screens and one set-top box aligned with it. It also had standard RCA connections.

6 – MSN TV:

This was a digital set-top box which belonged to the Microsoft family. Through this, you could connect to the web and check your e-mail, browse sports scores and even watch Web videos. This happened to us before HDMI with a video quality to die for.

7 – Dragon Naturally Speaking:

This was one of the forefathers of Siri that was released in the year 1997. A Windows app have been incorporated therein which helped the users to go through lengthy training processes to help turn on the speech recognition engine that could pronounce words. The technology was really state-of-the-art and we completely swore by it.

Future gadgets – Gadget freaks never get bored because if there is no work at hand, they would rather pass time googling about the gadgets that are underway.

The key method to single out a gadget freak is that he will ask you the intricate hardware details of your newly-bought phone while others will only judge it by the merits of selfie capturing capacity. Hence, it’s a herculean task for a gadget freak to select one for him before buying because they are too smart to buy the superficial promises.

iPhone X has been already launched with many cutting-edge features and we are rooting for a cheaper version with the same characteristics. This company which is a South Korean giant incurred quite a loss after the market failure of Samsung Galaxy S8 but they have decided to spell some new features in it and come back with a bang with Note 9. Rumours have it, it will bring along S Pen and the launch is scheduled in August.

4. 5G:

A new wave is going to come in the history of internet browsing and 4G is likely to be outwitted by 5G very soon. But common people won’t have much access to this technology as soon as the release and it might lacerate at your pocket too. The organization named 3GPP which overlooks cellular standards, has signed for the first specification of 5G in Lisbon.

5. Tesla Model 3:

Electric cars are for keeps and because they are eco-friendly in nature. Musk has already declared the launch of Tesla model 3 incorporating an improved battery which will provide 200 miles per charge. It will be a mass-centric car which will cost around 18 lacs.

6. 8K TV:

The recently available TV series is limited to 4K but in 2018, 8K technology will be available with 7680×4320 picture resolution so that you can see things bigger in your television. There is also a chance of 150 inch TV to be launched, which adds life to the 8K video.

7. Virtual reality:

Multi-player gaming mode is not available in virtual reality headsets until now but the day is not far when you can enjoy using it. You will rise above playing with virtual intelligence that is your phone and computer and now will be able to rope in your real friends in the game. Facebook is all set to launch its own VR headset, Oculus Go, which Zucker claims will be the ‘most accessible VR headset’

iPhone loyalists are wary of Siri, which is an artificial intelligence in iPhones. Now artificial intelligence is going to take a bigger leap in the coming year where your life will be made way easier with automated e-mails, industrial manufacturing and content generation etc.

9. Halberd:

Deemed as world’s smartest Bluetooth key and lock, Halberd is something we are going to see for the first time in 2018. It will automatically lock your PC on your absence which if the answer to all your safety and security concerns. GateKeeper is working on it and it will be launched soon.

10. Apple HomePod:

This speaker will have Apple’s A8 processor which happens to be the “the biggest brain inside of a speaker”. It will measure around 7 inches in length and sit alongside a 4in Apple-built subwoofer. It will come with a directional control.

Now that you have hummed the song in your mind, let’s try to analyze the top 5 issues that are troubling today’s hormone-laden and ‘always rebellious’ teenagers.

Issue Number 1 – Fashion! I Need To Look Top-Class! Bole Toh Ekdum ‘Dhinchakk’

Apparently, thanks to massive online and e-commerce campaigns plaguing the Internet and the TV ads, teenagers find it highly essential to dress ‘tip-top’ and trendy even if it means breaking their parent’s bank balance!

Constantly styling their hair and looking endlessly into a mirror is now a distinguishing feature of these attention-craving teenagers. After all, impressing the opposite sex is high-priority now – who gives a damn about studies!

Being told to study is like an abuse from parents!

Issue Number 2 – I Don’t Have A GF\BF; My Life Is So Over! Ohh God, Why???!!!

How to ensnare a girl or a boy to become a probable partner is like the ‘in-thing’ nowadays.

Kids who are supposed to go to school and shoving their heads inside books are often caught practicing pickup lines and bunking classes to gawk at their ‘oh so lovely crush’. Flirting is considered an art and guys\girls who can’t do it are considered garbage.

Apparently, being single is a blatant crime and you just need to be with a person to be called ‘socially hip’.

Issue Number 3 – Party Toh Banti Hai!

‘Chaar bajj gaye lekin party abhi baaki hai’ and ‘Party yu hi chalegi!’ are like the anthems for these teenie weenies who find it absolutely heartbreaking not to have attended a party which has a lot of booze, chicks and arguably non-teenage stuff!

Parties are now less of a fun-event, but have turned into date-searching places for flirters and hopelessly single people.

Issue Number 4 – What is happening to my body?

Changes to one’s body due to adolescence and hormones spell out to be a nightmare for many teenagers. For guys, the waiting period to grow a respectable beard is like the ultimate goal in life. Some of them like to emulate shaving like their fathers and get scolded for trying it too early. LOL! 😛

The changes in voice from a squeaky-sounding rat to a growling bear also makes them feel like men. We feel sorry for the ones trapped in the ‘squeaky’ stage. 😛

Some guys just dream of having a body like Vin Diesel or Salman Khan. Studies? What the hell is that?!

For girls, growing long hair is like a dream come true. Waxing legs, wearing high-heeled shoes, visiting beauty parlors, hair salons, wearing mini-skirts and other bodily changes and attaining curves are like the next step to being called a ‘woman’ rather than a ‘chhutki’ or a ‘bacchi’.

For them, reaching adulthood in a few years is like attaining nirvana. Little do they know the harsh realities of life! :\

Issue Number 5 –Latest gadgets? I want!!!

A teenager of today’s generation is highly updatedtechnologically! Now,they even threaten to commit suicide if they don’t get their latest favorite mobile phone, tablet, bikes in case of guys and costly cosmetics in case of girls.

Showing off is like their dream and not being able to do it makes them dry and low – at least that’s what they think! To be a teenager today, flaunting what others don’t have is of prime importance.

Thanks to such tantrums, respect for parents has gone out of the window. Abuses are hurled at them and their decisions are challenged to try the ‘might is right’ formula. If parents interfere with what they are doing, they become sworn enemies forever. Breaking the shackles and going against a parent’s wish is considered being supreme! Hiding secrets is an alarming trend which is making these kids fall prey to bad activities.

Don’t get us wrong! There are plenty of kids who are well-behaved and orderly, yet they are falling prey to such thoughts unknowingly, trying to copy or impress someone and are turning into a menace!
