<p>Lord Hanuman is a widely worshipped deity in Hinduism. His
ardent devotion towards Lord Rama earned him utmost respect among his devotees.
He is known as the Lord of Celibacy and one of the central characters of Indian
epic <em>Ramayana. </em>He was also mentioned
in several other texts as <em>Chiranjivi. </em>Lord
Hanuman is&nbsp; deemed to be the Lord of
strength, knowledge and bhakti. He is destroyer of evil and he is known to
protect his devotees. </p>



<p><em>Hanuman Chalisha, </em>which
consists of 40 poetic verses to praise Lord Hanumana, is ascribed to the
legendary poet Tulsidas. It is said that there is some level of clandestine
divinity associated with the text and any one, irrespective of age and gender
can chant it to ward off evil. </p>

<p>In a place called Mehendipur in Rajasthan, this temple is located. You will find a huge rock there and according to the word of mouth, the hanuman idol was self-built from the rock. There is a small pond at the feet of this idol which never runs short of water.</p>
<p><strong>Saalasar Hanuman Temple, Rajasthan:</strong></p>
<p>In a village of Rajasthan called Saalasar, the temple is located. In this temple of Lord Hanuman, there is an idol which has beard and moustache. It is said that the idol was found by a farmer who was working in the field.</p>
<p><strong>Hanumandhara, Chitrakut:</strong></p>
<p>In Chitrakut, there is a small town called Hanumandhara. There is an idol of Lord Hanuman hanging from the hills. The waterfall of the hill touches this idol of Lord Hanuman. Because of the waterfall, the name of this place is Hanumandhara.</p>
<p><strong>Sankatmochan Temple, Benaras, Uttar Pradesh:</strong></p>
<p>Sankatmochan is another name of Lord Hanuman. A huge temple of him is made here. As it is believed, sage Tulsidas had kept the idol of Lord Hanuman here which added to the historical and mythological significance of the same.</p>
<p><strong>Shri Hanuman Temple, Jamnagar, Gujarat:</strong></p>
<p>This temple was established in 1540 in Jamnagar, Gujarat. This one also made it to the Guinness Book of World Records for having magical powers.</p>
<p><strong>Mahavir Hanuman Temple, Patna, Bihar:</strong></p>
<p>Right in front of Patna junction, this temple is located. This is the second temple in India after Vaishno Devi which receives maximum number of devotees every year. Presumably, the income of this temple is one lac everyday.</p>
<p><strong>Hanuman Mandir, Allahabad, UP:</strong></p>
<p>This is situated right next to the Allahabad Fort, this temple has a Hanuman idol which is in lying position. The idol of the Hanuman is 20 feet long hence became popular among the devotees at large.</p>
<p><strong>Shri Panchmukh Anjanayer Swami Ji, Tamil Nadu:</strong></p>
<p>The temple is located in Kumbhkonam, Tamil Nadu and has a five head idol of Lord Hanuman. This temple is believed to be the protector of the humankind. Once you offer your prayers with a clean heart to the Lord, your prayers will be answered.</p>

<p>As a fact, people say that pleasing Lord Hanuman is as easy as pleasing Lord Shiva. But Lord Shiva takes a lot of test of their devotees. To please Lord Hanuman Jasmine oil is one of the most popular item as well as vermilion tunicle.</p>
<p><strong>Wheat</strong></p>
<p>Items made with wheat and jaggery are one of the most favourite food of Lord Hanuman. In most part of North, India people worshipped him on Purnima or every Tuesday with a special puja to be offered to Lord Hanuman. Most people who are worshipping him since a very long time or worship him as the Kul Devta means the deity of the entire clans for ages does these kinds of arrangements on Purnima day.</p>
<p><strong>Saffron or Red Flag</strong></p>
<p>To impress or get the blessing of Pawan Putra Hanuman reciting the Hanuman Chalisa is known as one of the best methods. It is also known that reciting Hanuman Chalisa will sharper the memory and helps in the awakening of the sixth sense. Every devotee of Hanuman must recite Hanuman Chalisa every day or at least on Tuesday. And to please him soon on Purnima offer a saffron or red flag to him at a temple.</p>
<p><strong>Rice</strong></p>
<p>Purnima and Tuesdays of the week are dedicated to the worship of Lord Hanuman. On the day of his worship, one should take bath between 4:00 am and 6:00 am and offer rice as well as coconut at a temple.</p>
<p><strong>Vermilion</strong></p>
<p>Once upon a time when for the first time Lord Hanuman saw Goddess Sita, she was wearing a Vermilion as sindur in her hairs (a symbol of married women in Hindu religion). Hanuman asked Mata Sita about the purpose of wearing vermilion mark, she said this mark symbolised the devotion to one’s lord. After knowing this Lord Hanuman covered his entire body with vermilion, and hence vermilion became one if the most popular thing to offer Hanuman.</p>

<p>It is widely believed in rural India that worshipping the gods insulate you from the paranormal threats, diseases along with warding off the evil eye. They also believe in blindfolds that religion has deep bearing in everything that happens in the human life and this has span through generations from the Aryan era. Although Aryans have vanished in thin air but their practises have survived.</p>
<p>We will bring you the names of the gods that are worshipped in the rural India.</p>

<p><strong>1 &#8211; Lord Shiva:</strong></p>
<p><a href="https://www.youngisthan.in/opinions/life-morals-from-lord-shiva/53942">Lord Shiva</a> is the supreme deity oh Hinduism and one of the prominent figures of the holy trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, Maheshwara. He is believed to be the creator of the universe and the rural people believe that he has his pervasive omnipotence.</p>

<p>Devi Manasha is the serpent goddess of Indian rural masses who is widely worshipped for warding off the snakes from spewing venom. She is the Indian folk goddess who is worshipped for prevention and cure for snakebite.</p>

<p>Shitala is worshipped for curing chicken pox, sores, ghouls and pustules. She is said to have been an incarnation of goddess Durga who incarnated as goddess <em>Katyayani</em> and killed by many demons that were sent by <em>Kaalkeya.</em></p>

<p>Agni is the Hindu fire god who is deemed as being the purest God among the Hindu pantheon of gods. Priests perform sacrifice in the holy fire to appease the fire god. This helps them insulate the paddy fields from catching fire.</p>
