Weird Yoga Poses – Yoga is beneficial to health.
No matter what; it makes you feel better and treats problems like back pain, heart disease, insomnia and many more. Someday, just sit with a yoga lover and let that person explain you how “BENEFICIAL” yoga really is. I’m pretty sure that it’ll leave you inspired to do yoga too. On the other end, it is a known thing that Yoga has many poses. Some are hard ones whereas some can be done easily, right?
Today, we’re going to talk about the weird poses. Yeah I know that they’re weird but they’re equally beneficial and that’s the thing that matters the most.

- DESTROYER OF THE UNIVERSE
I know it looks like a hard pose to try out and surely it is hard. I know many of you are wondering why it has such a tough name, let me tell you that this is a pose dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is also known as Kala Bhairavasana. It is a pose that requires you to have balance and strength. It’s BENEFITS includes strengthening upper body and hips.
- WOUNDED PEACOCK POSE
Yes, such yoga exists. It surely is a very challenging pose and IF you’re trying to do it, then you should be completely ready. Balance, strength, concentration… everything should be included while doing this pose.
This pose is also known as “Pungu Mayurasana.”
- PEACOCK FROG VARIATION
This one is going to blow your mind. Also known as “Mayurasana Variation With Bhekasana Legs” this one is challenging as you’ve to balance your body onto your hands. I know this pose questions “How to even start with this pose?” This peacock pose is certainly weird yet beneficial.
- YOGA SLEEP POSE
This pose is very popular and there are many who love including this pose in their yoga session. Well, IF you can do it easily, then you can include it too. This pose looks like folding yourself and keeping eyes focused on one thing.
This pose is done as it provides the deep feeling of calmness.
- UNSUPPORTED HEADSTAND
I mention, it is an unsupported headstand. Not many can do it. And the below mentioned images proves “why”. You need balance and most importantly strength to do it. IF you don’t have it, then do NOT even try to do it.
- HEAD TO FOOT POSE
So you thought only “unsupported headstand” is tricky? Well, take a look at this one. Seriously, it needs a lot of practice and strength to do this pose. Give a headstand and then slowly bring your toes down to touch the back of your head.
