<p>Then what’s the use of being good in a big bad world? The only reason you need to have faith in both God and yourself and be good as someone, rather some people have to make the world a better place to live in.</p>
<p>It doesn’t matter what you have done in the past. The past is then and this is now. Just start life afresh in 2017 by resolving to be a better person and making the world a better place. The year has just started after all. Just make sure you stick to your resolutions and then see the magic they sprinkle and spread in your lives&#8230;</p>
<p>Firstly, be disciplined. Sleep and wake up early. Make sure you do your daily chores on time, be it working out, cleaning up or having your meals. Also, when you’re focusing on work and worship, make sure you discipline your mind as well and prevent it from wandering.</p>
<p>Discipline is the first step because it can make you mentally stronger and give you the confidence to go a good way and not the bad. It becomes tough for evil to attract you. Secondly, always be happy and positive. It’s not wrong to dream or be ambitious, but you’re at peace when you’re satisfied with what you have.</p>
<p>A good person may or may not be happy always, but a genuinely happy person, they say, is always good.</p>
<p>Now, let’s come to the part where we explore how we can make the world a better place. I will give you a real-life example.</p>
<p>Some years back, I was not being able to sleep night after night due to office stress.</p>
<p>While heading home in a Mumbai BEST bus, I saw the conductor forcing a sick old man to get off the bus because he could not pay the bus fare and he had just realized that his wallet wasn’t present in his pocket. I asked him not to worry and paid the fare on his behalf.</p>
<p>He blessed me with his Aashirwaad. In fact, when I was offering the money, everyone in the bus automatically got ready to pay for him. It was Ganesh Chaturthi time and I felt as if Ganpati Bappa had chosen me to help this senior citizen.</p>
<p>I had just made the world a better place by giving and also setting a generous example. I slept in peace that night and &nbsp;I named this small initiative of mine #GivingTuesday as it was a Tuesday and Tuesday (Mangalvaar) is the day of Lord Ganesha.</p>
<p>#TheGoodYouCan Resolutions video of 100 Pipers suddenly reminded me of that initiative of mine. They (100 Pipers) strongly believe in the fact – Be Remembered For Good.</p>

<p>Every time Balan comes up with something new and special, wins our hearts, entertains us and proves why she’s a gift to Bollywood. Well, in this trailer, she has done just that. Just imagine, if the trailer is so impactful, then how will the entire movie be?</p>
<p>Well, this one’s anything but a run-of-the-mill story. It’s different! A story of a brothel situated on the Indo-Pak border, lines like ‘When Freedom Fought Independence’ and ‘Lived as Whores, Fought as Queens’ on the poster evoke a sense of power and excitement.</p>
<p><strong>Power-packed dialogues like “Tawahif ke liye har din ek jaisa hota hai…Ek baar batti bujhi toh sab ek”, “Bhikmangon ki tarah nahi, Rani ki tarah marungi apne mahal mein” and “Mahina humein ginna aata hai Sahab….Har baar saala laal karke jaata hai” will more than impress you.</strong></p>
<p>The Bengali film Rajkahini starring Rituparna Sengupta was loved both by the audience and the critics, and Sengupta was just brilliant as Begum Jaan. Hope the Hindi remake also packs a punch, and all the Ooh La La girl’s fans will pray that Vidya Balan comes back with a bang in Begum Jaan post Kahaani 2. We’re sure she will!</p>
<p>The film, written and directed by Srijit Mukherji, also stars Gauhar Khan, Pallavi Sharda, Naseeruddin Shah, Ashish Vidyarthi, Rajit Kapoor and Ila Arun in important roles.</p>

<p>Former opening batsman, Virender Sehwag, took on Kaur by posting a picture on Twitter in which he held a placard that read – “I didn’t score two triple centuries, my bat did.”</p>

<p>A few days back, Ramjas College of Delhi had faced thorough opposition from ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) when they invited 2 students from JNU to speak at a seminar on the ‘Culture of Protests’. The students were Umar Khalid and Shehla Rashid. There was a huge fight between ABVP and the DU students, and also AISA (All India Students Association). But yes, no doubt, inviting a person like Umar Khalid, who was charged with sedition and was associated with a JNU event that caused anti-national slogans to be allegedly raised, was anything but right. This angered ABVP tremendously and they felt that our country and her Tiranga (Flag) were insulted.</p>
<p>Anti-national people like Umar Khalid, also termed as a ‘Kashmiri Traitor’, want Kashmir to be separated and girls like Gurmehar Kaur make bizarre statements like – “Pakistan didn’t kill my father. War did!”</p>
<p>So my question to you Miss Kaur is that are you trying to say that India started war.</p>
<p>Are you anti-national by any chance?</p>
<p>Hope not. Because your father died for the country, yes, for Motherland India. And how can we forget JNU student, Kanhaiya Kumar, who had also raised anti-national slogans and was involved in anti-national activities on the university campus last year?</p>
<p>I wonder are all these youngsters simply publicity loving, or want to be the political leaders of tomorrow?</p>
<p>Where do all these anti-national thoughts come from, and has actor Randeep Hooda rightly labelled Gurmehar Kaur as a ‘political pawn’?</p>
<p>I believe that #MeraBharatMahaan will always triumph over #AntiNationalism.</p>
<p>Our country is democratic, but if anyone takes advantage of the freedom of speech and presents an anti-national speech instead, then that is an unpardonable crime.</p>
<p>Many Indians who eat, drink and sleep in India, find flaws and nooks in our motherland, and even go to the extent of abusing and humiliating our country, which is so wrong. They forget that India is the most hospitable country, rich in its culture and heritage. Even foreigners agree that India is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Hence, such an anti-national and hostile attitude towards our Sone Ki Chidiya Bharat Desh is highly unacceptable.</p>
<p>Many people who post negative stuff about the Indian Cricket Team, Indian Hockey Team, Indian Kabaddi Team, etc, or attack Indian sports persons on social media, are no less than anti-nationals. Also, there was an incident, wherein, Tiranga underwears were being sold in the market during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. The camera had also caught someone wrapping the Indian Flag around his body during a match. All such hateful and disgusting activities can be termed as anti-national.</p>
<p>Some uncouth and uncultured people spoil our country’s property, for example, by writing things like Rahul loves Preeti or abusive words on the walls of our monuments or spitting paan on the temple walls. This harms, pollutes and tarnishes the national image.</p>
<p>The media is also to blame as it supports and encourages anti-nationalism in the name of democracy. A famous news channel had let the same Gurmehar Kaur, who hates ABVP and claimed that Pakistan didn’t kill her father, express her views and speak live on national television.</p>
<p>Women’s Day is coming and Gurmehar Kaur suddenly comes up with a dhamaka… Surprising, no?</p>
<p>My advice to all Indians would be that if you can’t be patriotic, don’t be; but at least, don’t be anti-national.</p>
