It’s a nice day and you have planned to go out on a quick trip.

Whether it’s to watch the setting sun, a kickass long drive or simply hanging out at the gardens, you should be prepared. If not totally geared-up. Here are few things to keep in mind when packing in haste and going somewhere. Read on:

Withdraw money:
One mistake all travellers, whether last-minute ones or planned trip-makers, make is to carry more plastic money than actual cash as they find it safer. Even though it’s safer, it does make you feel helpless when you have to hunt for an ATM in the middle of the night. It’s better to carry cash, split it and store it so you won’t lose everythinging, in case you get robbed. As most tourist spots want money than cards and cheques, it’s a good idea to carry change on you. Especially when packing in haste, make sure you have withdrawn cash before setting on your journey.

Undergarments:
Even if you don’t have a set of spare clothes, it’s vital to carry change of undergarments. In case you have to stay back at the place due to some emergency, at least you’ll have these! Remember, you will find clothes more easily than undergarments. This is especially important for girls who are chumming. Do carry a couple of underwear to be prepared for all situations. Yeah, yeah, you can thank us later.

Medicines:
Never travel without a set of important medicines and those that you have been asked to take. If you’re suffering from some allergy, make sure you have those antibiotics in your bag. If you wear lenses, keep your pair of spectacles and lens case nearby. You never know when you would have to use them. It’s important that you carry OTC medicines for headache, fever, nausea and other such ailments. You should definitely carry anti septic creams and bandages with you at all times.

Raincoats, umbrellas/ sun hats:
Depending on the place you’re traveling to, you should have raincoats, sun hats and other weather-essentials in your bag. You never know when it might start raining or the heat can become unbearable, so be prepared at all times. Carrying wind-breakers and overcoats isn’t a bad idea either.

Itinerary and planner:
Despite the haste, you must have a itinerary or a planner with you so that you don’t miss out on the essential things of the outing. You can jot down the important places to visit as well the things you can eat and do at the place.

All said and done, make sure that you have your camera with you and hat your phone is fully charged. Never miss out on a single moment in life!
