The Chinese Foreign Ministry has by far foiled any attempts
from Indian side to designate Masood Azhar, chief of the terror outfit
Jaish-e-Mohammed that is reportedly enjoying a safe haven in Pakistan. In the
onslaught of the IAF airstrike on Balakot, Pakistan, China has tendered no
words of sympathy or concern for Pakistan which left Pakistan numb-hearted.

Beijing, reportedly has issued a statement addressing
Islamabad that Pakistan should not expect any support from China in its
conflict with India. Further, Beijing added that it will provide its backing in
only limited sectors such as economic development. China responded to India’s retaliation
and act of destroying the terror training hub in Balakot through the powerful
airstrike with utmost respect.

China is visibly inclining towards strengthening its
bilateral ties with India. The Chinese diplomats said that China is vouching
for Indian participation in the second belt and road forum in April at a time
when many other countries have rejected the ambitious project. The reason why China is expecting Indian
presence in the second Belt and Road Forum in April because because it will
give another dimension to it which only has China-Pakistan Economic corridor as
a showcase project. India, however was absent in the program last year because
a section of the Belt and Road passes through POK. India was only the major
country to boycott the first meeting of the forum last year although
representatives from at least 130 countries were in attendance.

According to the Wikipedia, “Bilateral relations have
evolved from an initial Chinese policy of neutrality to a partnership with a
smaller but militarily powerful Pakistan. Diplomatic relations were established
in 1950, boundary issues resolved in 1963, military assistance began in 1966, a
strategic alliance was formed in 1972, and economic co-operation began in 1979.
China has become Pakistan’s largest supplier of arms and its third-largest
trading partner.”

China has always seen Pakistan as a nation where it can
invest and gain control over gradually. Further, establishing a strong
friendship with Pakistan is the only means to have access to the vast markets
of Central Asia for its goods. That is not all, China has another ineterst,
that is to keep its energy highway open which is an alternate route to the
Indian ocean.

Now, when no country is immune to the pressures of the national interests, and the whole world is admonishing Pakistan for not taking knee-jerk action against the terrorists, China is backing off from supporting Pakistan in its tiff with India.

You can read the Time of India report here.

However, what really concerns us about Muhammad Ali Jinnah is his bigotry which every sensible Hindu, Muslim or Christian would be repelled to.

However, like Manmohan Singh has been an accidental Prime Minister, Muhammad Ali Jinnah was an accidental Muslim who has actually converted to Islam from Hinduism. It rather prided on not being able to speak even a word in Urdu and speaking Gujarati fluently instead. Antagonising to the Muslim diktats, he relished Pork and drank scotch with a fetish for clothing like an English Gentleman-waistcoat, pipe and monocle that is to say.

Jinnah lived a life in the same parameter of an upper-class English gentleman who was very conscious about his appearance. Grapevine has it, he never repeated his same silk tie twice and his wardrobe was swarmed with 200 hand-tailored suits. It was rather surprising that Jinnah, irrespective of spending a lavish lifestyle, was always careful about his money throughout his life. In the early 1930s, he lived in an opulent house in Hampstead, London with an English Chauffeur who drove his Bentley and two cooks, one Indian and another Irish in tow.

The main agenda beind Jinnah’s embracing Islam was that the fundamentalist favour. However, the embryo of his bigoted ideas came to life and lead Pakistan’s fate astray. However, in this time and age and in a country as ours, antagonising faiths lead to religious violence and it becomes a hotbed of riots.

In that regard, India should be thankful to Jinnah for being the torch-bearer of partition, he rid us off the most toxic thoughts and ideas to run a nation and we sigh competently now looking at the ill-fate of Pakistan now. In the kaleidoscope of religious history in India, the majority of Indian Muslims consider Pakistan as an embarrassment to their faith. However, in handful of states like Jammu, Kashmir, Kerala and West Bengal, Muslims see affinity with Pakistan.

Surprisingly, some are paid agents of ISI and continue to brainwash young-guns from universities like Jamia Milia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University. On the contrary, Hindu extremists and cow vigilantes are too on the prowl, demonizing Hindu-Muslim marriage in the name of Love-Jihad and embarrassing Muslims under the excuse of National security.

Rahul Gandhi has even said in an envoy that Hindu extremism is turning more detrimental than Muslim terrorism and it impacts in the voting pattern too as Muslims can’t quite trust the BJP.

On the opposite side, lampoons like Owaisi, encash on the Muslim victimhood to garner votes.

So, our point of view is that keep Jinnah’s portrait but be Indian first, then Muslims and rule out the theocratic bigotry that Muhammad Ali Jinnah once prescribed and practised.

But can you imagine someone who has represented his country in the most loved sports, cricket riding a cab?

One post doing the rounds on social media sites is truly shocking.

Whenever you hear about retired sportsperson, you know one day he’ll be probably be a coach or commentator, or doing something other than what Arshad Khan is currently doing.

Not demeaning other profession but certainly this is not what you can expect ever.

On Monday, a social media user, Ganesh Birle, shared his experience of meeting Arshad Khan in a rather unexpected place.

He shared,“He was the driver of our cab and we started chatting, he told me that he is from Pakistan and lives in Sydney. Also that he has been to Hyderabad many times when he was playing for Lahore Badshahs something in ICL. After which I asked him his full name and then I was shocked to see his face which I could partially recognise. I shook has his hand and left. ”

“He was avoiding the conversation all the time, but at the same time he couldn’t help but talk about his India connection. Imagine he introduced himself as ‘I from Pakistan but I have been here in Sydney for long time now’. Also like a good Uber driver he offered us water and stuff when we sat in the car.”

This incident throws some light on the plight of low-profile retired cricketers.

He also shared..

credit: Sportskeeda

Arshad Khan made his debut for Pakistan in 1997-98 against West Indies and went on to play nine Tests and 58 ODIs.

We can’t comment on the circumstances of the retired cricketer as of now, but we hope we get to know his side of story too.

What do you have to say being a cricket lover?

Is this what our sportsperson deserve?

Don’t forget to leave your comments and tell us what do you think about this news.

Salute to Arshad Khan for his honesty and hard work!

However, as some wise man had said that one can learn from anywhere and anyone, I thought what can we actually learn from Pakistan? The answer is: a lot!

Let me share with you 5 things that you can apply in your life to be successful!

1) Be Focused

Observe Pakistan’s focus on Kashmir for past 68 years and you’ll understand what I am saying! It is like a meditating monk’s focus – unrelenting and giving more than 100% to the goal. Now try doing this with your dreams, goals and ambitions; success will be yours for sure!

2) All Resources For One Objective

Pakistan may or may not use funds, people and other resources for the interests of its own citizens, but when it comes to Kashmir, its army, police, ISI and every known-unknown government machinery is used for singular objective. Therefore, if you want to achieve your goals, avoid wasting time and money on gadgets, wandering off, partying, but just put every second of your day, every rupee in your pocket to make your dreams come true.

3) Different Modes

Pakistan tries to hold dialogue with India, while at the same time tries to push militants inside Indian territory. If that is not enough, regular provocative firing happens on the border and then it raises the Kashmir issue at various international platforms to keep the issue burning and remain in everyone’s memory! Are you getting an idea about how to go about following your dreams or planning your work life? Don’t stick to one path, but knock on all doors, try everything in the book and outside of it to ensure success is yours!

4) Never Say Die

Has Pakistan ever come across as a nation that will rest even for a second from raising the Kashmir issue? NEVER! All its government machinery and armed forces work 24X7 to keep this issue bubbling while ensuring that no matter how many times they lose a war or their face in the public, they stick to their stand and keep working on their goals! Similarly, when you try to achieve goals, you will be rejected, you will lose a million battles and you may face humiliation, but if your dreams are genuine, no one will be able to stop you from achieving them one day!

5) Take Everyone Along

That is the mantra! Nothing in this world was ever achieved single-handedly as we all are social animals and we do require each other to grow in life. Pakistan has absorbed it completely and therefore uses all the manpower within its borders and then tries to influence the opinions of other countries as well to make sure that Kashmir is discussed as often as possible! You also have to convince people of your dreams, take help, lend a hand, but in the end take everyone along to be successful! No success is a sweet fruit if you have t eat it alone!

Hope you relate with these strategies! One thing to notice here is that no one can stop you from being successful if you’re fighting for a genuine cause, an engraved dream or a strong ambition! Pakistan, however, is on a silly wicket trying to work for a wrong cause! Right efforts in a wrong direction will not take you anywhere, is the final lesson from Pakistan’s journey!

Hence, make sure you have a right objective in the eye, and you use the correct measures!

Remember, there is always something valuable to learn even from the worst of your enemies!

Does it?

Well, trust us when we say that it is an important part of our history as a country and makes a big impact on our economy as a nation.

That was the year when independent India’s first Budget was released and one of the liabilities mentioned in Balance Sheet of India there was a huge amount of Rs. 300 crore due from Pakistan on account of share of pre-partition debt!

Now you get the idea what we are talking about?

Just imagine, from that year onwards, this entry is regularly made in the books and Pakistan has never paid it off despite India paying off its share of Rs. 50 crore soon after independence!

May be Rs. 300 crore is not a huge amount in today’s scenario where in other debts goes in lakhs of crores but in 1950-51, this amount was more than 10% of our total liabilities. In fact, it was almost 10 times of the country’s total external debt! How big is that?

Shall we give you an even bigger shock?

The government of India has kept the figure of Rs. 300 crore just like that even today, and has added no interest to it! Which means as average citizens, if we don’t pay on time, whether it is our taxes or loans or anything, we have to pay penalties and interest and what not. But for Pakistan, if they ever decide to pay, they are not required to pay any penalty or interest on this outstanding.

The amount was humungous in those days and even today it can come handy in financing various social initiatives to help make life of our citizens better in some manner at least.

So what are the government’s compulsions of not asking Pakistan to pay back what is rightfully ours? As far as other contentious issues are concerned regarding border, terrorism, Kashmir etc., they will obviously take time to be solved, but financial claims must be cleared. After all, Pakistan is getting billions of dollars from America and various other countries. It shouldn’t be a problem for them to pay off the basic principal if not with interest!

As a nation, we are trying to make relations smooth with our neighbour, taking steps to enhance the business relations, but then it doesn’t mean that we should not get back what are our legitimate dues!

The other option is for the government of India to show magnanimity, and write off the entire liability as charity to that country! That way we can really show that we are the big brother and we can afford to help out the ordinary citizens in that country even if they are routinely back-stabbing us!

But in that situation, will Pakistan ever accept India as Big Brother?

The answer is more towards the negative.

Well, let’s see when does the government act to make its books leaner and cleaner!

We are being ATTACKED by Pakistani ………………………. Kabootars 😛

A few days back the Gujarat Coast Guards caught a Pakistani Intruder, a Pigeon, at the Vadinar Marine.

Apparently the Coast Guard had been tracking this Pigeon for quite a few days and they finally caught it when he stopped at the jetty to have a drink of water.

The Pigeon was carrying a chip in one leg with “Benjing Dual” written on it and a Ring in the other leg with the number “28733”. One word “Rasul-UL-Allah” was written on its wing in Arabic language!!!

Enough to send Alarm Signals flying all across the coast, which reached till the Home Ministry and Rajnath Singh.

Our PM, Modi has ensured that National Security forces were deployed quickly and the Pigeon was taken into custody, though it protested furiously by flapping its wings 😀

If our drunk sources are to be believed, the Pigeon was then thoroughly Strip Searched by the ATS 😛

No wonder Devyani Khobragade plans to take a Morcha against the ATS!!! 😀

While the Jury is still out on what to do with the Pigeon, there have been varied reactions from everyone, if my sources are to be believed (which no one does, not even me 😉

One faction of the Indian Govt has alleged that this is a Pakistani ISI Attack due to the Arabic words while another faction claims that it’s a Chinese Infiltration because “Benjing” sounds a lot of “Beijing” and “Dual” might mean a Double Agent …. hmmmm!!

Subramanian Swamy however, claims that the Pigeon was actually a Viraat Hindu who was first converted into a Christian (hence the ring) and then converted into a Muslim (hence the Arabic words).

The Christian Rights Group has started a big protest against the government demanding why only minority Pigeons are being targeted while all the Pigeons near Siddhivinayak Temple are allowed to roam around freely !!! 😛

MIM Leader Owaisi went and made a fiery speech declaring this act as an open targeting of the Muslims!!!

Across the border, Bilawal Bhutto, has taken a press conference and said “We will get back the Pigeon and We will get back Kashmir too”!!!

While the Press tried hard to not let their cameras fall off while laughing 😀 😀

Smriti Irani has, however, declared that the Arabic Words on the wings were very unpatriotic. She has ordered that all Pigeons who fly in India will be allowed to have only Sanskrit words written on them!!!!

She is also planning to declare one of these days as the National Sanskrit Kabootar Day in all the schools with mandatory optional attendance.

The last I heard, she was debating on whether she should have it on Good Friday or Easter 😛

Yogi Adityanath has demanded custody of the Pigeon as they would like to do its Ghar Wapsi.

No, No!!! He doesn’t want to strip the Pigeon off his Ring and Paint over the Arabic words and declare him a Hindu, He just wants to send the poor Pigeon back home!!! Why don’t you guys ever believe that Yogi Adityanath can do something good huh?? 😛

Disclaimer: This post is not meant to offend the Pigeons, in any manner. We don’t want them shitting on our head every time we walk out 😛 As for others who might be offended …. Section 66a is off, so take a hike 😀

The situation in Yemen is worst for the locals, including Indians residing in the country. The Saudi-led attacks on the Shiites have taken many lives spawning fear among the residents.

Most Indians were angry that when India celebrated Shaheed Diwas, our Minister of State for External Affairs celebrated Pakistan National Day hosted by the Pakistan embassy in New Delhi. However, it was wrong of the media – online and print – to wrongly target Singh for his participation in the celebration. He has served the country during the Indo-Pakistani war of 1971 and still continues to do so, though now as MoS.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally telephoned King Salman of Saudi Arabia requesting cooperation and support to evacuate the stranded Indians in Yemen, to which the Saudi King agreed.

As a result, the Indian Navy has done something no one would have expected, which is evacuating close to 350 Indian citizens as part of “Operation Raahat”, who were left high and dry in war-torn Yemen.

Narendra Modi sought help of King Salman of Saudi to evacuate Indians in Yemen

Rescued with a Navy vessel, the Indian nationals safely reached Djibouti; from there they were securely taken back to India by Air Force C-17 Globemaster. Many Indians are still stranded in Sana’a, the capital. Another aircraft is soon to reach to bring back the marooned Indians.

VK Singh is one of the most respected Army men and his treatment after attending the Pakistan National Day, at the hands of Indians, was totally unfair. He retired in 2012 as Chief of Army Staff after serving the Indian Army for forty-two years.

Singh proves everyone wrong by embarking on this difficult mission overseas, in the process exhibiting his dedication for India and its citizens. Where the night rescue saw the Navy evacuate 349 Indians, its future missions will see as many as 4,000 Indians brought back safely to their homeland.

VK Singh’s integrity was wrongly questioned and many of his criticisers will have their apologies ready when Singh returns with the remaining Indian nationals from Yemen.

We salute you, Mr. Singh!

Where West Indies convincingly beat UAE, Pakistan took their own time to strike the final blow against Ireland.

Though it was an easy win for West Indies, they had to chase whatever the target set inside 36 overs. They managed to do that in the 31st over after losing 4 wickets.

Jason Holder, the West Indies captain, was extremely pleased with the result and must have revelled in his own individual performance of 4 for 27.

West Indies captain Jason Holder celebrates a wicket

“We needed to win by a certain margin. We had to show positive intent. We knew we had to finish the game inside 36 overs and we did it”, is what he said during the post-match presentation ceremony.

The final Pool match between Pakistan and Ireland saw Pakistani wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed become the first man since 2007 World Cup to score a century for his team in this major tournament.

Sarfraz Ahmed scored an unbeaten century against Ireland

The conclusion of yesterday’s matches meant that the World Cup has its eight quarter-finalist teams – South Africa, Sri Lanka, India, New Zealand, Australia, Bangladesh, Pakistan and West Indies – that will compete against one another for the coveted prize.

The first quarter-final match will be played on 18th March between Sri Lanka and South Africa. Defending champions India will take on their Asian adversary Bangladesh on the 19th in Melbourne. Australia, the four-time former World Cup champion, will face Pakistan on March 20. The quarter-finals will end with co-host New Zealand taking on West Indies on the 21st of March in Wellington.

Where the post-match programme Cricket Live yesterday saw the cricket legends predicting winners of the quarter-finals as South Africa, India, Australia and New Zealand, it will only be on the match day when we get to witness as to which teams handle the pressure better.

In case any of the quarter-final / semi-final matches gets abandoned or tied, the team that finished in a higher position than their opponent would move on to the next stage of the competition.

The tennis ace was caught juggling fans from around the world, especially India and Pakistan, when photos of him holding a blue Team India jersey emerged on his Facebook page.

Upon learning about the furore that the picture caused, Federer immediately apologised. He also made it clear that the photo was more a part of a marketing gimmick than him expressing his favouritism towards India during the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup.

“It was more of a Nike thing to be quite honest,” said the 17-time Grand Slam champion before the commencement of Dubai Open.

The Pakistani fans are said to be dejected the most, who admire Roger’s skills on the tennis court. One supporter even went to the lengths of deleting all his pictures of Federer and is said to have taken an online poll in which 10 out of 12 Pakistanis felt betrayed.

The entire controversy even forced the 33-year-old to reveal the team he supports – South Africa.

“I support South Africa, and everybody knows that. The idea wasn’t to spark any fire.” Everyone, who has kept a track of Federer’s life, knows that his mother Lynette is from South Africa.
Touted as a ‘must watch’ in the competition due to the rivalry amongst the two sides, as per expectations it turned out to be a thrilling contest.

Even though Pakistan edged out India in this riveting fixture, there are reasons to be cheerful for the Men In Blue. Despite the loss, the Indian hockey team shouldn’t be depressed or sad about the loss as the former have an edge in these 5 reasons mentioned below. What are those reasons, well, let’s find out:

1 – Pakistani actors in Bollywood
The Pakistan hockey fans and team can brag about the loss as much as they want but the Indian half could shut them up with one reason – their actors. Recently, the likes of Fawad Khan (Khoobsurat), Humaima Malik (Raja Natwarlal), Imran Abbas Naqvi (Creature 3D) and Ali Zafar have acted in Bollywood movies opposite top stars and directors. Most probably, they are earning recognition here, more, than that back in Pakistan’s Tollywood.

2 – Pakistan’s slip-up in the medal tally
Despite the lost, Pakistan has yet to hit the gold. Our neighbours are well below the medal tally, sitting 23rd in the table. Our count in the table (updated) is 17 to theirs 1 (bronze). So, cheer up Indians, all’s not lost here.

3 – We’ve got the Hockey India League
Have Pakistan got an IPL-styled hockey league? No, they haven’t that’s because India has one in the Hockey India League (HIL). Moreover, players from around the world including Germany and Australia play in the teams like Ranchi Rhinos and Delhi Waveriders. Even though Pakistan too has their players representing in the league, the former has yet to achieve big time on the global stage.

4 – Financially ahead
If our team is compared with Pakistan, in terms of finance, we are more stable. Pakistan hockey team, ever since the terror attacks have been unable to welcome any international sides in their arena for competitive games which has their governing board, hard.

5 – Our star studded line-up
Even though the Pakistan fans will rant about the win over India in the hockey match, the Men In Blue still have better players than their neighbours. Admit it, the likes of Sardar Singh, Rupinder Pal Singh, Mandeep Singh amongst others have the potential at the highest level unlike the Pakistan’s’ players.

So chin up Indian boys, it’s not over until it’s over!

This is indeed a really really sad day for all those comic lovers out there. Mr. Pran Kumar Sharma, known to the world only as Pran, was single-handedly responsible for giving wholesome entertainment to Indian kids for nearly half a century. While the West gave us larger than life heroes like Spiderman, Superman etc, Pran saab created true Indian superheroes that didn’t have any superpowers except for a genius brain! How cool is that!

Pran saab’s most famous creation has been Chacha Chaudhary, ‘jiska dimaag computer se bhi tez chalta hai’ and his companion, Sabu, man from Jupiter, ‘jise gussa aata hai toh kahin jwalamukhi phat’ta hai’! These simple and cute characteristics can bring a smile on not only a child’s but even a grown-up’s face. He also had other characters up his sleeve which he dished out one after the other to mind-boggling success in the comic world. Characters like Billu, Pinki, Raman, Shrimatiji still tickle a funny bone and have been household names for so many decades.

He has been the best cartoonist India has ever produced and due to the immense popularity of his comics, his characters made their way in showbiz as well. TV serials and Animation films have been made on Chacha Chaudhary series of comics and gained lot of popularity.

Each and every of his character, whether it was Billu or Pinki or Chacha Chaudhary, has been drawn from regular life. Nothing fancy, nothing great about their looks or style, except that each one of them has displayed superior mental faculties in dealing with day to day problems. That is the precise reason they got so famous. After all, simplicity rules! Without being preachy, he used simplicity to make a lasting impression on children’s mind teaching them the power of brain!

Mr. Pran was born in Kasur near Lahore, Pakistan and then moved to India after partition. After completing his Masters in Political Science from Gwalior, he took admission in Mumbai’s Sir JJ School of Arts for a course in Fine Arts, but left it midway. Soon after, he started his career in Delhi in 1960 as a cartoonist and there was no looking back. He travelled the whole world to share his art with fellow and budding cartoonists and became an inspiration to many of them.

His passing away has left a huge void and no one will ever be able to fill it. We just hope that his legacy continues and keep inspiring other cartoonists for generations to come.

Comic reading may never be the same again!

It’s time to bring out those comics and soak in some sweet nostalgia!
