Somewhere the time differences are the reason while few may have their work schedules with new additions of relationships and activities. But it does not mean that they have forgotten their close or best friends. A person with whom spending hours was fun and filled with memories, but due to changes, the distances of place have driven them far away. It has led to the unrealized fact that they have not spoken to each other for years. But the recalls of the older times already prove that it remains as a healthy friendship.

Factors that prove it was a healthy friendship

Even after years when the old memories of a friend bring a smile to the face, it is a sign of a healthy relationship. Friends often during sad hours or hard times remind me of the times that bring some happiness. No longer there are the scopes that allow old friends to forget each other.

Even when not spoken to each other for years there is always a soft corner for them. Believing the fact that sometimes to be together to cherish their old friendships.

No flaws

Good and close friends never find flaws in each other. They may be lazy or witty in any way close friends bonding never ends up finding flaws within them. Even after decades whenever they find time to recall their old times it is the amazing fun times that are on their list.

Despite not being able to call or talk there are no complaints against each other. It is a part of the healthy relationship that ensures even after years people can find their close friends still closer.

Remembers each fact

Even the grey hairs may be having years of experience. But it has always kept the time evergreen with the past times; it can be during the drenches together wandering around. Or, it can be while the mischievous moments at home and during school hours.

Each fact of good and bad times is a mode of positive vibes that remains buried in the mind. They never will like to forget it but rather live with it throughout.

Independence

The reason for the distance in a healthy friendship is due to the intention of providing independence and space to each other. Being aware of the different aspects that may have changed the time and the requirements of opportunities for progress becomes a reason for distances.

Healthy friendship always seeks the betterment of friends, so it is the reason for increased distances.

Never ignores

A close friend can never ignore any situation. They are always close and intend to remain closed. But due to the changing times and situations, there may be fewer interactions. Even after decades if they meet each other then there are never any chances of ignorance.

Healthy relationships do not require much attention, it grows deeper as turn older. It helps to make a person feel compassion as moves on with time.

This name was carried forward after independence, so once called Calcutta was the capital of undivided India till 1911. It was the time when the British invaded and was ruling over us, though during their reign, it was when Sati abolition rule was passed under the jurisdiction of Governor-General Lord William Bentinck.

It was Bengal, the Kolkata history that banned the Sati Pratha on 4th December 1829 which was a tradition of Hindus.
Another part of Bengal renaissance was during the rule of British India company when the widow’s remarriage acts confirmed in the year 1856 on 26th July.
Old Kolkata history does not end here; it was then the slogan “Give me blood, I shall give give you freedom”, was raised to fight against the British India company that was led Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Unsung heroes who sacrificed their lives for independent India.

Bengal its people before and after independence

Popular writers who revolted but their arms were the pens, who can forget the dedication of Bankim Chandra
Chattopadhyay, Micheal Madhusudan Dutt, and Rabindranath Tagore, from the lists of laureates. West Bengal has struggled far away from the days of independence but overall stood with head high, irrespective of the loss or victory.

Standing in 2020 while looking back after independence though old Kolkata has faced several problems who can deny the unforgettable director Satyajit Ray, the whole world knows him for his excellence in movie direction.

Mother Teresa, her dedication to helping the homeless child and establishment in Kolkata was honored with the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. Amartya Sen and Abhijit Banerjee are economists from Kolkata who won the Nobel prize for economics in 1998 and 2018 respectively.

Despite Bengal lack employment and industries

Bengal is lacking in employing its people despite the icons born and evolved. Several jute factories and mills are closed for years because of which jobless are its people.
Worries are rising among the young generation when they have to think about their career options. What expansion or addition has been in recent years to increase employment? Jobs are limited to Government jobs, private practices, and real estate. Professional ITs, Mechanical engineers, or other engineering students have to move to Bengal to earn a better place and better living if they want to opt for services. Options are limited that have provided the state limited sectors to earn its revenue, small businesses also find it hard to survive due to lack of exposure and scopes within the state.

Coronavirus pandemic Lockdown and Amphan builts crisis in Bengal

India faces a financial crisis due to coronavirus pandemic lockdown, so does Bengal. It was not too long thereafter Bengal faces the worst disastrous crisis of cyclone Um-Phung or Amphan. Worst natural calamity in Kolkata history with an impact of damages to agricultural lands that will last long. The entire city suffers from the darkness as no electricity for days and smartphones are idiot boxes as has no connectivity standing in May 2020.
Its all about Kolkata, the city of joy after thousands of people are homeless, they are farmers. Families are in the dark because of no electricity and no transport or manual help due to coronavirus pandemic.

In this article we would try to look into the mind of Young India, the youth after 71 years of independence.

For the youth who experienced the struggle for independence through the tales of their grandparents and idolized the freedom fighters from the pages of history books, have different definition of freedom.

The youth of the country makes half of the population of India, who are below the age of 35years. Though they are free from the oppressive tyranny of the British empire but are struggling with the new tyranny of corruption. Before independence people used to enjoy privileges based on skin color, nowadays the color of the cash matters.

New days, new challenges. Their opinion is the powerhouse of an assertive future, which every Indian is looking into.

India through the eyes of Young India

Young fighters of India reflects the variety of most assorted country of the world. Its diversity can be counted to be one of the greatest strengths of our nation. But the flip side of the diversity is very well understood by the young generation. With diversity comes classification of the society depending on age, class, ethnicity, religion and the most venomous of all depending on caste. With the richest and poorest existing within the same boundary, makes India to be amongst the unequal nations of the world. We have top alumnus ruling the software industry, research field on one hand, and have illiterate people falling prey to aimless leaders on the other.

Having the smartest of young generation with the power of digitalization, to know what freedom is for them becomes very significant. Here we would like to share some of the ideas from the youngsters of India from various fields who have their own definition of liberty. Most of the millennials believe independence is in freedom to have the right for free thought & expression.

For a student, freedom is in chasing his dreams, and becoming financially independent to take the responsibility of his family. He wants freedom from the society which ridicules a person depending on his social status.

Another student pursuing law wants free access to justice, resources and other ways of life without being discriminated by gender, class, religion or caste. For her when the voices of humble would be heard, that day true independence would be achieved.

For a Dalit poet freedom lies in expressing oneself freely and exist in the society without being branded for belonging to a particular stratum of the civilization.

The journalist from Srinagar sees his freedom in expressing his ideas and having the power to challenge the State’s suppression of expression, not getting into a broil for calling a snake a snake. He feels that, then only one can bring the truth to the people without being biased.

And another youngster defines freedom to be ‘where the mind is without fear, and the head is held high’ like Rabindranath Tagore. He believes freedom is in absence of imposed restrictions.

Some youngsters in the hamlets believe freedom is in getting proper education, without getting duped by the politicians and joining their goon party unknowingly.

For the soldier fighting in the front, freedom is in a corruption free system, which loves the country like they love the motherland.

We can conclude that freedom is where the girl is free from patriarchal stereotypes, where one is free to practice his faith and preferences without harming others; where each citizen can live a dignified life. Independence means freedom from being classified. How can we forget the lil champs, who are having the toughest time?We need to see and hear their definition of freedom. For them freedom is in letting them live their childhood without fear.

We are Indian and only Indian, nothing else can define us.

Young India – Depending on- the part of society, age group and way of living, each individual has their own definition. But, all wants to live with dignity and in harmony. So, this Independence Day lets pledge that we are ready to exercise our freedom with responsibility.

Does it?

Well, trust us when we say that it is an important part of our history as a country and makes a big impact on our economy as a nation.

That was the year when independent India’s first Budget was released and one of the liabilities mentioned in Balance Sheet of India there was a huge amount of Rs. 300 crore due from Pakistan on account of share of pre-partition debt!

Now you get the idea what we are talking about?

Just imagine, from that year onwards, this entry is regularly made in the books and Pakistan has never paid it off despite India paying off its share of Rs. 50 crore soon after independence!

May be Rs. 300 crore is not a huge amount in today’s scenario where in other debts goes in lakhs of crores but in 1950-51, this amount was more than 10% of our total liabilities. In fact, it was almost 10 times of the country’s total external debt! How big is that?

Shall we give you an even bigger shock?

The government of India has kept the figure of Rs. 300 crore just like that even today, and has added no interest to it! Which means as average citizens, if we don’t pay on time, whether it is our taxes or loans or anything, we have to pay penalties and interest and what not. But for Pakistan, if they ever decide to pay, they are not required to pay any penalty or interest on this outstanding.

The amount was humungous in those days and even today it can come handy in financing various social initiatives to help make life of our citizens better in some manner at least.

So what are the government’s compulsions of not asking Pakistan to pay back what is rightfully ours? As far as other contentious issues are concerned regarding border, terrorism, Kashmir etc., they will obviously take time to be solved, but financial claims must be cleared. After all, Pakistan is getting billions of dollars from America and various other countries. It shouldn’t be a problem for them to pay off the basic principal if not with interest!

As a nation, we are trying to make relations smooth with our neighbour, taking steps to enhance the business relations, but then it doesn’t mean that we should not get back what are our legitimate dues!

The other option is for the government of India to show magnanimity, and write off the entire liability as charity to that country! That way we can really show that we are the big brother and we can afford to help out the ordinary citizens in that country even if they are routinely back-stabbing us!

But in that situation, will Pakistan ever accept India as Big Brother?

The answer is more towards the negative.

Well, let’s see when does the government act to make its books leaner and cleaner!
