Force India’s tribute to ‘retiring’ Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar had a special bond with Formula 1, with him being the first to hurl the chequered flag at the Indian Grand Prix

Sachin Tendulkar had a special bond with Formula 1, with him being the first to hurl the chequered flag at the Indian Grand Prix, and again as he will be bidding adieu to cricket next month; F1 team Force India have decided to pay a tribute to the legendary batsman via a hash tag — #masterblaster – pasted on the nose section of their cars for the ongoing Indian Grand Prix this weekend. Tendulkar who is set to retire after the two-match Test series against West Indies in November has been hogging limelight across the news circuit since the announcement.

“Like Sachin Tendulkar, Force India aims to be a big hitter in the world of sport. With our cars adorned with the commemorative hashtag, our team will endeavour to harness the passion of an entire country and achieve a great result at our home race, the Indian Grand Prix,” said a Force India representative in a statement on Friday.

The two Force India drivers Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta were seen clicking photos with the new hash tag on their cars in their garage at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida.
