Rohini MLA Rajesh Garg reportedly wrote a scathing letter to Arvind Kejriwal on a social networking site, asking him to stop promoting ‘œrich and corrupt’ people in the party and reconsider his stance on fresh elections.
The journey of Arvind Kejriwal from being a darling of the people to becoming the lying face of politics taking numerous U-turns is no secret.
It is hard to remember a time when the voice of dissent did not arise in the Aam Aadmi Party. Since its inception till today, those voices are only rising and the party chief Arvind Kejriwal remains as ignorant as ever.
On Sunday as well, party’s Rohini MLA Rajesh Garg reportedly wrote a scathing letter to Kejriwal on a social networking site, asking him to stop promoting “rich and corrupt” people in the party and reconsider his stance on fresh elections.
Garg’s letter to Kejriwal, which was uploaded on his Facebook page, said, “You should accept the truth and stop promoting the rich and corrupt within the party. You should try and understand the pain and the suffering of the ordinary worker of the party, who has actually forsaken everything to rid this country of corruption… When you keep asking for the Assembly to be dissolved, have you ever thought of what happens to the people, party workers and elected representatives of different parties?”
“If we had shown courage on February 14, 2014 (the date of the party resigning from government) then we would have been serving the people of Delhi as currently nothing is possible because there is no government. Whoever forms the government does not matter. We had come to serve the people and not to form government,” his post further mentioned.
He said the AAP must look towards resolving “the debt of 1,000 crore instead of being obstinate about fresh elections”. “Can we not do good work while sitting in the Opposition? We must also look at one more thing, that if elections happen again and no party gets a clear majority then what will we say to the people,” Garg’s post read.
AAP has always blamed BJP of stalling government formation in Delhi. Kejriwal had called the Lt Governor Najeeb Jung working at the behest of BJP. It should be noted that the AAP had also tried to create quite a stir by claiming that BJP was indulging into horse trading and had also released a sting-video done on a small time BJP leader Sher Singh Dagar. Kumar Vishwas, who had gone into hiding after his defeat in Lok Sabha elections, had claimed that he was offered the chief ministerial post by BJP.
The letter from Garg mentions the obvious – Kejriwal has been lying all through. He has been trying to get his position in Delhi back by hook or by crook. But he has been blaming the opposition party BJP for looking clean himself.
Meanwhile, CNN_IBN reported that Kejriwal wants to do a compromise in the NItin Gadkari defamation case. T is the same case in which Kejriwal refused to take bail and the jail-bal drama costed him Shazia Ilmi and dissent from Yogendra Yadav.
The same case, in fact, had become the second time launch pad for Kejriwal who desperately wanted to forget his drubbing in Lok Sabha elections and come back to Delhi and be accepted by people. But the janta has seen his real face now and it is becoming increasingly difficult for him to get their love back.
With Prime Minister Narendra Modi taking away the political agenda of AAP by launching Clean India campaign, Kejriwal is surely more thrown off. He is feeling guilty for leaving Delhi but time cannot be turned back.
Kejriwal should stop lying now, else he will have to say bye to politics.
