Lenovo Tab A7-50: Use As A Tablet – Use As A Smartphone!

Lenovo Tab A7-50 is finally available in the Indian market and hopes to attract Lenovo loyalists with its sleek design, voice-calling feature, cutting-edge internals, and aggressive pricing.

The Chinese manufacturer, Lenovo, quietly listed the new Lenovo Tab A7-50 on the company’s official online store on 4th June 2014.

Boasting of a voice-calling feature, the phone maker states that the launch of Lenovo Tab A7-50 is great news for those looking for an affordable companion for browsing, reading, viewing, and calling.

This 7-inch tablet, announced in the month of April, along with its 8-inch and 10-inch variants, is now finally available for sale in India. However, there is no word about the arrival of the other A-series tablets. Nevertheless, with the launch of a host of Vibe series handsets this year, and the popular K900 phones of last year, it seems that Lenovo plans to attack the Indian market in a big way.

Available in Midnight Blue color, the Lenovo Tab A7-50 boasts of a 9.9mm thickness profile and weighs 320 grams, making it easy to slide in a pocket. It flaunts a premium soft-touch finish and slim design.

Sporting a 7-inch HD IPS display, with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, the device runs Android v4.2 Jelly Bean, which is upgradable to Android 4.4 KitKat version. Under the hood, ticks a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor paired with 1 GB of RAM.  It brings a native in-built storage of 16 GB with a MicroSD card slot enabling expansion up to 32 GB. 

The capacious 3450mAh juicer delivers 8 hours of usage time and 336 hours of standby time. The connectivity suite of the Lenovo Tab A7-50 consists of 3G HSPA+, 2G, Wi-Fi 802.11, Micro-USB, A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, and Bluetooth 4.0. The tech giant has also announced a Wi-Fi only variant, whose availability and pricing details in India is still under wraps.

Other Lenovo Tab A7-50 features include single SIM support, capacitive multi-touch touch screen, 3.5 mm audio jack, Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, Vibration, UC Browser, Evernote, Kingsoft Office, AccuWeather, Skype, Norton Mobile Security, and more.

The tablet houses a 5 MP fixed-focus camera at the rear end, while embedded at the front is a 2 MP snapper for clicking selfies and web chatting. 

The price of Lenovo Tab A7-50 is approximately INR 15,500.

Customers can buy the tablet directly from the company’s Do Store, with an expected delivery date of 8-10 business days.

Equipped with an array of decent Lenovo Tab A7-50 specs and configurations, this budgeted tablet may spark some interest amidst its customers. However, only time will tell how the device has fared in terms of its performance.
