Aviators and Wayfarers may be totally hot, but do they look as attractive on you as they are supposed to? Well, it all depends on the shape of your face. How does one determine which style suits who? Worry not, here’s how you can choose the correct pair of sunnies for your face. Let’s not make any more ‘˜glaring’ mistakes, eh?

Aviators and Wayfarers may be totally hot, but do they look as attractive on you as they are supposed to? Well, it all depends on the shape of your face. If you are heart-shaped, Wayfares will look absolutely stunning on you! So, how does one determine which style suits who? Worry not, here’s how you can choose the correct pair of sunglasses for your face. Let’s not make any ‘glaring’ mistakes, okay?

Oval:
If you have oval-shaped face, that is, balanced features with the chin a tad narrower than the forehead, you can wear just about anything! Yes, this is best shape as it works well with Aviators, Wayfares and even Oversized glasses. Keep in mind to never go ultra big or small as it can mess with your face’s proportions and look weird.

Heart:

If you have wide forehead, narrower jaw line, high cheekbones, and a narrow chin, you have heart-shaped face. It’s said to be a dainty and elegant shape as the face tends to look smaller than other shapes. So your thumbrule is to go for frames that are wider on top. You can choose from Wayfaress, Cat-eye and even sporty glasses.

Square:

This face type has defined jaw, square chin, and a broad forehead and is generally in proportion to the rest of the features. In order to break the fierce jawline, you should opt for round glasses that will give your face a certain warmth. You should look for sunnies with rimless edges or soft edges. You could even rock Aviators and Shield glasses!

Round:
There are very few angles to this face, if any. The forehead and jawline look proportional and Wayfares or square-shaped glasses will work wonderful on this face cut. Even Cat-eye can look wonderful, if it has a bit of edge to it. Basically, angular frames that add definition to your face will look great on you.

Always remember, don’t fall prey to fashion. Choose frames that will complement your face cut and not make you look like a clown! If you still can’t find a pair that matches your face, go for virtual trials where you can try on as many shapes and cuts before you zero in on a frame. Virtual trials are free and non-fussy and you’ll definitely be able to find the right pair for yourself.
