If you’re looking for a legitimate reason to go shopping (ha!), we tell you how.

As a working woman, you must carry these five interesting, yet practical accessories, in order to make an impact on your colleagues.

We are pretty sure that you already have these with you, but still…here’s a reminder. Read on!

Statement Watch:
Nothing works as a great piece of accessory than a statement watch. It’s sophisticated, classy and practical. Who doesn’t love a sexy pair of watch that reflects their personality? Invest in a watch that can be worn both with Indian and western outfits and is of a neutral shade. Too much bling can make the watch look silly at work. While pink is perfectly acceptable at work, it will make prey to office (read sexist) jokes. So you might want to avoid that!

All-Purpose Bag:
Women love bags, so having an all-purpose one isn’t that big a surprise. Go for those that have multiple pockets or compartments. So you can keep your smartphone, files, pens and wallet in a neat fashion, without having to fumble through the bag. Keep one compartment for loose change and pass/tickets. When choosing a bag for work, go for mahagony, maroon, brown, olive green tan and classic black/midnight blue. They will look formal and classy. It’s a good rule to avoid jazzy colours and crazy designs as those might look too ‘party-esque’.

Pair of Black Stilettos:
Do we really need to tell you why you need these? Every girl worth her mascara knows that a pair of black stilettos are sexy, practical and always in demand. They can be paired with a dress, sari, anarkali and even pants. Also, they can be worn for a after-work party without looking too out of place or fiercely formal. If you don’t own one in black, time to change that. Isn’t it? Brown, tan and rich mahagony are other cool options too.

Well-Cut Blazer:
Nothing looks sexier than a well-cut jacket/blazer that you can pair with pants, skirts or dresses. They look stylish and smart and will definitely make you stand out from the rest of the crowd. Women in power need to exude confidence and style, which is exactly what these blazers are for. You can opt for cotton jackets and blazers in the summers…in fun colours like green, purple and orange. While you can go for solid browns, blacks and greys in the winter.

High-Necked Dress:
Combine sexy with classy in a high-necked dress that ends just below your knees. You can even opt for flirty prints to off set the boldness of the neck. If you’re going for a solid colour, make sure the neck comes in a different shade so that you have a bit of pop on you. If you’re in the mood for experiments, throw in a nice belt and clinch it at the waist.

Despite these style nuggets, choose an accesorry that would flatterr your figure without looking too out of place at work. Cleave-popping and lges-flaunting outfits a strict no-no if you want people to talk about your work and not body!
