The woman has suffered multiple internal and external injuries and is being treated at Jaslok hospital. The doctors said that her condition is critical, but stable. The incident very much implicative to the another that took place last year in December, when a 23 year old medical student died of multiple injuries after being gang-raped in Delhi, is being investigated. The victim’s and her friend’s statement have been recorded and twenty people have been detained based on the sketches that were made. Maharashtra home minister R R Patil visited the victim and promised that the culprits would be arrested soon.
