It’s official! Current F1 champion, Sebastian Vettel will be bidding adieu to Red Bull Racing at the end of the season as the former is pinned to join former heavyweights, Ferrari.

Four-time champion, Vettel informed the Red Bull chief Christian Horner on Friday that he intended to leave and the team announced their official statement before the Japanese Grand Prix.

Horner and his Red Bull side have already named a replacement, promoting rookie Daniil Kvyat from its allied team Toro Rosso to join Daniel Ricciardo in a youthful 2015 line-up. “We want to warmly thank Sebastian for the incredible role he has played at Infiniti Red Bull Racing for the last six years. As we wish Sebastian well in the next stage of his career, we also look to the future with excitement, as the vacancy makes way for the next generation of Red Bull racers,” Red Bull said in a press statement.

With Sebastian Vettel all set to join the Ferrari F1 team, will the latter reign the roost again? Here are six unanimous reasons why WE think, Vettel will bring the glory back to Ferrari again:

1 – Signed a champion in Sebastian Vettel
When Ferrari signed on former F1 champ, Fernando Alonso alongside Kimi Raikkonen; many pundits predicted big things for the Italian team. But unfortunately, Ferrari couldn’t compete with the big guns but with the arrival of Vettel, all could change! The F1 driver who reigned from 2009 to 2014 can achieve big things, again with Ferrari.

2 – German connections
Well, Ferrari might have signed yet another German in Seb Vettel. The Red Bull star could emulate his idol and former world champion, Michael Schumacher at Ferrari and fans may see glorious years back again.

3 – The Alonso-Vettel rivalry could spark up some interest
Come next season, the Alonso-Vettel rivalry could see F1 season go down to the wire. If Vettel does move on to Ferrari (which he would), former rider Alonso might make sure, that the former does not take in the title charge.

4 – Ferrari’s new breed of drivers
With Alonso making a move (most probably Mclaren-Honda), Ferrari could swoop for young turks like Kevin Magnussen or Romain Grosjean. With Ferrari taking a stepping stone towards success, the arrival of Vettel could force other drivers to join the bandwagon.

5 – The new ‘Galacticos’
The Real Madrid’s of Formula One, Ferrari could dominate for years to come, when Sebastian Vettel joins the team. With Kimi Raikkonen on board and a whole new car to be unveiled next year, Ferrari could blaze up points on the racing tracks.
