Sir Alex Ferguson Has Pressed The Right Button – #MUFC Need More Players!

Sir Alex Ferguson Has Pressed The Right Button – The Red Devils might have started the 2014-15 season at a slow pace but Louis Van Gaal’s ‘˜Galacticos’ are quietly staking their claim in the English Premier League.

The Red Devils might have started the 2014-15 season at a slow pace but Louis Van Gaal’s ‘Galacticos’ are quietly staking their claim in the English Premier League.

The likes of Radamel Falcao, Angel Di Maria and Daley Blind were recruited in the summer this year and have been a hit amongst the fans.

Even though pundits and analysts are yet to favour the Old Trafford this season, they can become one, if new signings happen soon! And this call was supported by none other than the former manager, Sir Alex Ferguson. The Scot who was speaking to MUTV, club’s own channel, talked about Van Gaal’s reign, recruiting and also the beleaguered David Moyes.

“He’s not been getting the results that are expected but when I came to the club I didn’t get the results I expected myself at the beginning. What we needed then was Sir Bobby Charlton, Martin Edwards and the board to stick by me and we had a great spell after that. Once I got settled into the club, everything was fine. Louis is going through that same process and there’s no doubt in my mind that he will sort it out,” said the former great.

Sir Alex who took three-and-a-half years to win his first trophy at United after the board stuck by him, admitted that Van Gaal needs the same amount of support unlike former gaffer David Moyes, who was sacked 10 months in charge. Sir Alex went on to win 38 titles at United including a Champions League medal and pins the current manager to bring in more glories.

With the likes of Falcao, Rooney, van Persie and Di Maria linking up; surely any opposition can fear with an attack of such superiority and quantity. Last season, the Red Devils were short on numbers and thus saw the season capitulate at the ‘Theatre of Dreams’. Even though Moyes, who was backed by SAF to succeed, did not revel in the hot seat and eventually saw the tenure end this year. Ferguson adds, “There’s a bit of that (on Moyes). I haven’t been to every game, obviously. I’ve missed a couple this seasons already but I’ve been to a few of them and I continue to do that.”

But as the season kicks in, Manchester United face an uphill task with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City waiting in the wings. Even as the ‘Red Devils’ might go with their tails up in these games, Van Gaal knows this squad still NEEDS depth! Will LVG listen to SAF?
