#SlappedAgain: Kejriwal Sits On Rajghat With Swollen Cheek

The time for election campaign in Delhi ends at 5pm today according to Election Commission’s order. But Kejriwal chooses to remain out till the last minute.

It has happened once again. An auto driver slapped Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal during one of his road-shows in North-West Delhi today. Ironically, the man first garlanded the former Delhi chief minister. AAP supporters later thrashed the auto driver.

Kejriwal was attacked on Friday too during his road-show in South Delhi’s Dakshinpuri area. A man, who was later identified as a member of his party, had slapped him and punched him on his back too.

Kejriwal was slapped so hard that his cheek and left eye swelled up to the impact. After that, the AAP leader, who wants to make his place in the national political scenario, went to Rajghat and sat on a ‘silent prayer’ with his supporters.

It is interesting to note that the repeated attacks on Kejriwal and his party, whether it be by ink, egg or other means (read slap), the person was always identified as one of his own party member. However, in this case, the allegiance of the auto driver isyet to be ascertained.

Even though Kejriwal and his supporters talk about the attack, they never make any comment as to why their own men choose to do such dastardly act.

Today too, Kejriwal tweeted:

Maybe Kejriwal needs to look within his party. He never raised questions when his supporters stone-pelted BJP headquarters and injured many! He is leading a pack of fanatics who think they are above the reasonable ground. Oddly enough, they do not hear their own leader!

Even after Kejriwal’s appeal to his supporters to avoid the route of violence, every attacker of Kejriwal was beaten black and blue by his supporters rather than being handed over to police immediately after being caught.

The theatrics that he has been doing to gain media attention has become such garbage that his sitting on a ‘silent prayer’ on Rajghat even stinks of dirty politics.

The time for election campaign in Delhi ends at 5pm today according to Election Commission Model Code of Conduct. But Kejriwal chooses to remain out till the last minute.

Rest, ye public hai sab janti hai…
