Imran Masood: ‘œKutti Kat Denge’, Hate Speech Giver, A Rahul Candidate

This has punched holes in the image of Rahul who has till now been strongly advocating cleaning of politics and not giving tickets to criminals. In fact, the poll campaign of Congress is based on ending communalism.

After their high command’s famous maut ka saudagar barb and Salman Khurshid’s napunsak jibe, the Congress party has created a new low of political rhetoric. Congress candidate from Saharanpur (UP) Imran Masood has offered to cut BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi into pieces.

Hum Modi ki kutti kaat denge,” Masood figures in a video saying so while addressing a rally.

“UP is not Gujarat. There is only 4 per cent Muslim population in Gujarat but in UP there are 22 per cent Muslims here. I will fight against Narendra Modi because I know how to give a fitting reply to him,” Masood is seen saying in the video after which he hurled the death threat towards Modi.

According to Hindustan Times, Masood spoke to the newspaper and clarified that it mightbe an old statement. But he could not recall the time and place where he made the statement. However, he remained defiant about his statement by refusing to apologise.

“I am ready to offer my apology only after Modi apologises for his misdeeds in Gujarat,” he said.

Meanwhile, Congress seems to be distancing itself from the statement. Senior Congress leader Rita Bahuguna Joshi said that she was against using provocative language.

“We have ideological differences with our political adversaries. We can attack them using decent language. The Congress does not appreciate the use of provocative language,” she said.

However, influential leader in UP politics Shahid Siddiqui tweeted that Masood was chosen by Rahul Gandhi as a candidate.

Rahul is even scheduled to address a rally in support of Masood on Saturday.

This has punched holes in the image of Rahul who has till now been strongly advocating cleaning of politics and not giving tickets to criminals. In fact, the poll campaign of Congress is based on ending communalism.

In every election rally, Rahul and Sonia Gandhi along with PM Manmohan Singh try to garner votes by projecting Modi as a communal leader. The Congress party had been vociferously picking on Modi regarding 2002 Gujarat riots despite SIT giving clean chit to the Gujarat chief minister.

The Election Commission has now sought details of Masood’s speech. The SDM has been asked to submit the video of the speech.
