Pakistan TV channels fined for excessive Indian content ‘“ now that’s quite funny!

I would suggest these channels to telecast Congress policies and its leaders’ views, for not getting fined, as they are pro Pakistan.

Ten entertainment television channels in Pakistan were imposed with a fine of Rs 10 million for showing too much Indian and foreign content.

Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) slapped the fine on the channels and gave warning letters to them to discontinue from such practice in future.

Reportedly, a document of Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage quoted as saying that the local channels were airing excessive Indian content, much more than the prescribed limits.

PEMRA monitoring system is functioning uninterrupted to make sure the observance of code of conduct and code of advertising.

Private TV channels of the country have been sanctioned to air just 10 percent foreign content and 60 percent of that 10 percent must be Indian or other content and 40 percent of the 10 percent could be English content.

According to reports, the fined channels include Hum TV, Oxygen TV, Play TV, Kohinoor Entertainment, TV One Entertainment, NTV Entertainment, GXM Entertainment, Jalwa Entertainment.

The report sounds quite funny, but may be is it because Pakistan has nothing to show within their own country except for Taliban fights, killings and destruction, bomb blasts, Taliban philosophy and hatred for Malala Yousafzai and her campaign for women education.

I would suggest these channels to telecast Congress policies and its leaders’ views, for not getting fined, as they are pro Pakistan.
