Her journey to become a pilot was not easy she worked to earn the fees for her flying classes after which she was trained and achieved the pilot license. She has also worked as a volunteer for the red cross during the world war I.

Malala Yousafzai: Female activist who had seen death closely and still stood high for the education of girl child and also she is the youngest Nobel prize, winner. She was shot by the Taliban gunman to retaliate for her activism. She was along with two more women when she survived the bullet that hit her head. This bold and beautiful lady won the Nobel when she was just !& years old.

Melinda Gates: The career of this beautiful woman started as the general manager of Microsoft company, she is known as the American philanthropist. It was in 2000 that she started as a co-founder of the Bill & Melinda Gate Foundation with her husband. Being the top businesswoman her rank is consistent. She has set a great example for women as a prosperous businesswoman.

Serena Williams: Popular tennis player who has ranked at the top as world number one women player. For about 319 weeks she was at the top in single women tennis but she had a hard time after she had given birth to her child. It is for about more than six weeks that she had to delay to return to her field for training sessions and returned to play in 2018.

Mary Kom: Another bold and beautiful lady from the northeast of India, Manipur. She is known for her boxing who is the only woman who won the world amateur boxing champion, it was for six times. Winner of Padma vibhushan and Padmashri. She was not able to complete her schooling but was determined to learn boxing and finally she ruled as a woman boxer from India.
Women has proven to think and work beyond their boundaries. Setting an examples of bold and beautiful around. These women have inspired the generations to work with dedication and achieve their goals. They have built the power to fulfill their dreams and desires with confidence and boldness.

About 2000 years ago in Egypt, women reigned supreme. This statement might make the patriarchs sit up in alarm but yes. You have probably heard of, well, let’s presume you definitely did, Cleopatra and Nefertiti. On our perusal of Cara Cooney’s book When Women Ruled The World: Six Queens of Egypt, we were in complete awe to find out that women were competitors for Pharaoh’s throne without having to face sexism.

Cleopatra’s story:

Cleopatra was a brilliant statesman with a productive womb which she used to rule, as per the studies about Ptolemaic dynasty. The dynasty had a liberal approach towards women where every son and daughter had their own entourage, their treasuries, heir own sources of power besides shared power within a predetermined system of siblings. Of course, it goes without saying that the siblings killed each other with impunity for the greed of throne. In fact, Cleopatra II was married to her brother. After having a massive verbal spat with the brother, he was found dead eventually. The, Cleopatra II went on to marry her next brother with whom she had her daughter, Cleopatra III. Cleopatra III overthrew her mother with the help of her uncle and Cleopatra II’s brother by banishing her out of the community. Even gruesome, the uncle sent Cleopatra II the body of her son packed in a parcel, cut into bits. However, they came together as one for political reasons later.

Where the power lied:

Cleopatra II was a clever woman and she used her reproductive abilities to create a legacy, nothing short of a man she was. The other women, in the meanwhile were either ruling in behalf of a younger child or they were ruling because they could not produce any male offspring and stepping into the years when their reproductive abilities went into a sparse. However, Cleopatra used her reproductive organs and went on to make babies with two Roman warlords. She then meticulously placed each child in charge of a different part of her booming Eastern Empire which was in loggerheads with the Western Roman Empire.

Sadly, now we only remember Cleopatra as a great beauty but we should not forget that she was also a product of great incest. Definitely from the ancient findings it is proved that Cleopatra was witty, conversationalist and intelligent.

Nefertiti’s story:

Nefertiti was another legendary queen of Egypt who represented true and successful female power. She has also saved Egypt from a critical political phase which is commendable. Nefertiti was the leader of her people and a great visionary. Upon becoming a political leader, she changed her identity, she had renamed herself which didn’t comply with the feminine ways. In fact, she was smart enough to use her feminine wiles to rule the men that were her competitors in power. She became the co-king first then, imperceptibly, the sole king. Later on, she erased all her feminine beauty to become more fierce as a ruler.

So, definitely you can understand till what gamut these women used their intelligence to rule the ancient Egyptian society. They had no-holds-barred unlike us now.

A girl’s ‘no’ is never an accepted phenomenon in our country. ‘Haseena maan jayegi’ is usually the idea that brews on the guy’s mentality.

Liking a girl is not really the main issue here but pursuing her despite her rejection turns out to be ugly. Guys think that if they constantly keep trying then the ‘no’ would turn into ‘yes’.

‘Ladki patana’ is like a subject that men take pride in mastering. Well there are times where such constant measures of hitting on a girl can lead to really grave consequences and traumatic experiences for the girls.

Persuading a girl in the neighborhood:

Our society tends to judge a girl before the guy. When a girl is raped it is usually concluded that she asked for it. Similarly when a guy is hitting on a girl, people in the society easily tend to mark her character and might even go to an extent of tagging her with horrific names (wh*re, sl*t, etc.)

Constantly when a guy follows a girl in the neighborhood; firstly he is invading her privacy and secondly people tend to judge the girl. Moreover when the girl doesn’t pay heed to the boy, people pity the boy’s plight and conclude her of having an attitude problem.

Hitting on a girl at work:

This is the worst situation for any woman. Already working women face the challenge of proving their skills at work. Our society has still not accepted the concept of women working and earning for themselves. Firstly it is the society that they need to fight and then to be in the man’s world is really not easy. If you tend to succeed instantly and by coincidence if your boss also happens to be a man then you are easily rumored to be sleeping or physically satisfying your boss to reach your career heights.

In such an environment if a guy (boss/ colleague) keeps pursuing the girl then it becomes a mental torture. Office affairs are not unknown but when the woman says no and the guy still pursues then it gets murky.

Hitting your sister-in-law:

This is again a common case and is probably the worst scenario for any woman. If the perpetrator is outside he can still be tackled but if the predator is within the family then the woman becomes extremely helpless.

Especially when the person in question is the husband’s brother, which would mean the strong bond between the two brothers. No woman would want to be the reason for any fight between two brothers. Mostly our society is structured in a way that even after marriage the wife still continues to face hardships gaining acceptance at her in-laws. If such kind of an incident takes place then it becomes extremely difficult for the woman. She can’t reveal to her husband about his brother.

In the name of protection the brother-in-law would have his vested interest and try to accompany the girl places where her husband might not be able to make it. She can’t deny, can’t go with him, can’t tell her husband about it, etc. the dilemma that a girl goes through in such a situation is really pathetic.

When the guy friend never understands that he can never be the boyfriend:

This gets really irritating. It is a very common Indian mind-set that a girl and a guy can’t be friends. Just because a girl is sharing her deepest secrets and may be even being physically comfortable with a guy friend doesn’t mean she sees him like a boyfriend. Some guys don’t understand this. They might have spent really good time but if the girl finds her man then this reality isn’t very well accepted by the friend.

He would secretly hope for them to break-up or would go to any extent to do that.

When a young boy keeps going behind a woman:

Juveniles are no exception to eve-teasing. When matured men don’t understand a girl’s denial then what can we even expect from young boys in their teens? Moreover our films also have had such bad impacts that men are born with the intention of pursuing till the girl gives in.

Such depictions in popular media have built the stereotype and even kids grow up thinking it is cool to harass women.
