It is not possible that whatever a person visualizes is an illusion but few things can be unreal. The method in which the brain receives and reacts to whatever the eyes can see. Can your eye be playing with your mind? If it is playing any trick when the eyes can see but the brain records a different aspect, known as an optical illusion. So, as the brains receive the information, the person reacts accordingly which tells about your personality.

Unreal or optical illusions are reasons for your Personality

The optical illusion can be described as one of the features that are known as “The Floaters”. It has an important place in creating unreal visions. The smalls size floaters look like white, flashes of light that create some blurry or unreal visions. Though it can take place in all age groups mostly it is seen in old age. Any hesitation or doubts can be due to the unreal picture developed in the mind. The information received by the brain enables a person to react. It reflects in the people’s personalities.

Confirming and then reacting to the different images created in the mind is possible due to the optic nerves, eyes, and the brain.

Images help to determine about you

There are tests that help in determining the type of personality a person carries. One picture or image may have different angles which a person has to realize and point out. People find it one of the ways to check and make out about themselves.

Mirage is one of the common and popular examples of illusions that anyone has realized in their life. You may be seeing water images far away but when near it seems to move away. During hot summer in deserts or in heated road surfaces, the eyes can see the visuals that are not true. Other such problems that are felt are that Pilots who fly high can find false horizons. It is risky if he or she is not able to detect it therefore they are well trained to ignore and overcome the illusions. Understanding the false visuals of narrow runways and landing safely on the runways are part of their training.

The various designed images and pictures are used to detect the visual condition and its reflection of it in the brain. To understand the visual processes it is the images are used to find if the brain is under normal conditions or facing diseases such as hallucination.

Personality weakens reducing confidence and increasing loneliness. Developing a creative mind and imagination is also a positive part of the optical illusion.

On other hand, if you are a curious person, explorer, or emotionally dominant person, the fictional thoughts are responsible for it. Sudden feelings of intuition, happiness, and wisdom are also the behavior of a person that can be determined by illusions.

It is an experience involving the apparent perception of something not present. Hallucination is common & is experienced by many people. No doubt, it is indeed dangerous as when it happens it freaks you out entirely. In hallucination, our mind forces us to experience something dangerous through our senses that isn’t really there. Even though it is seen as a common thing, many experience it in a worst way.

In a way that when told, it can leave the inexperienced one scared too. Here are scariest hallucination stories shared by Redditors & read them on your own risk.

I was pretty knocked out on all sorts of antidepressants and sleep meds, I was seeing this dark black shadow of a man in the corner of my bedroom who kept shifting around my bedroom trying to get me yet he couldn’t touch me. I was absolutely terrified to the point I threw out everything that was black in my room to help stop seeing him. And before someone had to calm me down till I stopped crying, it really was awful.

I had the kind that would sort of feel like a lucid dream at first. I would just be lying there, totally aware of my surroundings and situation, and I would start hearing sounds inside my head, like a buzzing. It would start out soft, then slowly grow louder until it sounded like hundreds of voices screamingat the top of their lungs. I learned over time that I could interrupt the process before the voices reached a certain pitch and force myself awake, but after they started screaming, I was locked into it and would have to ride it out. The voices would reach a fever pitch and then just stop. At that point, there would be something in the room with me. The voices stopping would mean it had arrived. The few times I was able to wrestle my eyes open, I saw the shadow of a man in a hat and a trench coat standing either at my bedroom door or at the foot of my bed, just looking at me. He was kind of 2-dimensional and see-thru. I never really got the feeling that he meant me any harm, but I was still terrified. After a few seconds, I would snap awake and usually flail out of bed and onto the floor.

I hallucinate quite frequently, but this probably the worst to date: I borderline overdose on a bunch of substances and the next day as I was coming off of it and sleep deprived I hallucinated a dead toddler on my couch.

I’ll go with a very vivid hallucination, one from sleep paralysis. I saw a zombie climb onto my chest, saw it’s mouth open and heard it’s moan/growl as it moved to take a bite. I felt it’s teeth dig into my flesh and felt the muscles tear, the tendons snap, my blood pour down my chest. It wasn’t “painful” just a sensation of the feeling. I could see the hole in my chest, could see the zombies dead eyes stare at me. I knew I had to be hallucinating but it was still disturbing.

I was being dragged to the bottom of my bed, by my ankles. My mouth was sewn (like melted together) shut.

My first attempt at a breakthrough I was met with a hallucination of a woman, initially in black and white, dancing around. I was curious so I tried to infer her purpose – why was I seeing her? All of a sudden all the white in my hallucination turned into a deep blood red and she became hostile. All I could feel was the deep fear of a flight response. I knew I needed to turn back, so I came back to reality.

I came across one more hallucination story that is seriously very scary. To read, click here.

It is quite common and it can happen with almost each and every person. So, there’s nothing major to worry about. In order to describe sleep paralysis, it is always been said that “you’re either awake or you’re either completely asleep”. But, in reality, “the temporarily feeling of not moving” isn’t the only thing that people go through. Yes, there’s so much more than sleeping like a dead body.

I’m talking about other things that people experience during sleep paralysis. Yes, these facts about sleep paralysis will certainly blow your mind and it’ll give you some kinda relief as well.

Because, guess what, you’re not the ONLY ONE.

Types of sleep paralysis –

ISP – Isolated Sleep Paralysis is quite common and the best part about it is, a person who falls under this “ISP category” experiences sleep paralysis very rarely. They experience it especially once or twice in the whole life. Isn’t that great?

RISP – Recurrent Isolated Sleep Paralysis is where a person experiences it many times. As if it’s a major part of sleep. In RISP, individuals are more likely to face this problem every week.

It involves Hallucinations

During sleep paralysis, hallucinations occur when your eyes are open but still you’re unable to move or speak. It makes you feel like someone is present and is watching you. It’s like experiencing that a “ghost” is around you. Yes, it happens and you start feeling like someone is whispering or is behind you etc etc. You know, in short, you keep assuming things.

More stress results into sleep paralysis

According to several researchers, when your mind is not stable and when you keep over-thinking about everything, it is more likely that you’ll face sleep paralysis. Also when you’re exhausted, things around you start changing.

No physical harm is caused

Yep, even though you experience scary things around you, there has never been any report about deaths because of sleep paralysis. So, you can take it easy, and let it come and go.

You feel a certain pressure on chest

I’ve been through this scene and I was literally scared to death. But, like I said, it comes and it goes. During sleep paralysis, many people feel as if there’s something heavy on their chest which is not letting the body parts to move. Overall, it is a natural occurrence.

You feel as if you woke up from dead

Now, it happens when all of sudden you open your eyes and stay in the exact straight position without moving at all. The moment you keep thinking that you’re dying slowly, that’s the only time you wake up suddenly thinking as if you had a fight with your own death.

You can beat sleep paralysis by coughing

Yes, if you’re someone who falls under the category of RISP, and you understand what’s happening with you, then you can beat it by coughing or mingling your toes. Doing so will help you move your body completely by getting you back in a normal situation.

These were the facts about sleep paralysis. Do you have anything to say (Sleep Paralysis Stories)? Let us know in the comment section below.
