Recently when Daljeet Kaur opened about ordeal in her marriage, every one was shocked and taken aback.

Who would have thought something like this can happen in a fairy-tale romance like theirs?

Daljeet Kaur and Shaleen Bhanot had a love marriage. The couple even won Nach Baliye season 4. There were already some reports of trouble in their paradise but what shocked us was the revelation by the actress. In an interview to a nationaly daily, Daljeet shared, “He grabbed me by my throat, pinned me against the wall and tried to strangle me. My maid pleaded with him to leave me. Fortunately, he left the house instantly and never returned. That’s when I decided to file an FIR. The medical report clearly states that I had strangulation marks and my neck was swelling by the minute.”

But Daljeet isn’t the first actress who admitted of being in an abusive relationship. Their world may look glamorous to some from outside, but the darkness in their relationship and life is only visible to them.

We look at some of the actors who in the past had troubles in their marriage due to abusive relationship.

Shweta Tiwari

One of the strongest character of television endured a lot in her personal life. Who could have thought she was going through hell in real life? After a long when she couldn’t control the pain, she filed for divorce. Just for the sake of their daughter, Shweta stayed quiet for long, but her abusive ex husband Raja Chaudhary made it hard for her. Isn’t it scary to think even the women we believe to be the strongest had to go through so much in their life?

Rucha Gujarathi

Rucha tied knot with Mitul Sanghavi, an engineer by profession in 2010. Sadly a couple of years later, they parted ways. According to reports Rucha later filed a case against her in-laws when they reportedly attacked her and her father. According to some sources the actress was also starved. Rucha never spoke about the issues but admitted there was definitely trouble in her marriage.

Dimpy Ganguly

She married Rahul Mahajan, son of late politician Pramod Mahajan in front of the whole world. In a reality show Rahul Ka swayamvar, Rahul chose Dimpy to be his bride in national television. Few months later, Dimpy filed a complaint against Rahul for physically hurting her, later they resolved and went out to participate in Nach Baliye.. However later the couple filed for divorce.

Deepshikha Nagpal

This one was also shocking when it came in the public knowledge. Deepshikha lodged a police complaint against Kaishav for physically assaulting her. The actress claimed that Kaishav asked her for money when she decided to end the marriage. She further stated that she had to take this decision for the sake of her children. Who would have thought her story with Keshav will end like this?

It is indeed sad that these actresses had to go through this in their personal life.

How life changed after Bigg Boss 8

It is so easy for us mere mortals to form habits!

Especially when it is about a TV show that keeps you on the edge of your seats, gives total entertainment (don’t bother about the intellectual quotient as long as it is entertainment) and makes you wait the whole day just to watch it for only one hour.

Yes, you guessed it right!

We are talking about the longest game show of the year, Bigg Boss 8 which is reaching its culmination point today evening. The winner will be announced and after that, there will be a long silence! May be darkness will embrace so many of us who won’t have a freaking idea of what to do during that auspicious hour we use to spend glued to our sofa sets watching and enjoying the reality show. Life will surely come to a standstill!

You think we are exaggerating? Well, ask those children who have had to wait for their dinner after 10pm! Ask those office employees who, if got late in the office, spent an extra hour just to watch it in their recreational rooms so as not to miss even a single minute of the show! Ask that girlfriend whose phone call was disconnected by her boyfriend just because he didn’t want an interruption while watching the show, even as the poor guy tried all day and night to do some coochie-coo with his girl! What to do, she called at the wrong hour!

These are not isolated incidents, but are very common amongst people who really love the reality shows on Indian TV. We are concerned if depression will set in, people will queue up to see psychiatrists, sleep-walk will become a common phenomenon with people grabbing their remotes and watching TV in the middle of the night with the hope that one, may be just one more episode, of Bigg Boss will come on air. Who knows, dreams of Ali might make people laugh in their sleep or Dimpy’s screams might make people wet their beds! Gautam and Karishma can bring smiles to resting souls while Pritam may make people call radio stations in their dreams!

On a serious note, this show has definitely created a space for itself in our homes and hearts and people did plan their schedules as per the show’s timings. Now suddenly, there would be a void difficult to fulfil, even as new show will be launched to replace it.

Let’s see who wins the show as that will give a lot of hope for viewers and fans to patiently wait for the next season. If it is Gautam, it would be a real and fair game. If Karishma wins, people might say results are rigged, but whatever may happen, their journey has made us feel happy and given us total entertainment!

The geniuses have opened their mouth and blessed us mere mortals with a new word in Hindi language that has the real potential of changing lives and has the potential to even go as far as to be crowned as the word of the decade if not the century!

Surprised? Well, let’s spill the beans and tell you what we are talking about.

It is all about the new word created by the Bengali beauty, Dimpy Ganguly in Bigg Boss 8!

No one knows, including herself, the origin of this word which is called DEYU!

Apparently Dimpy used her great IQ (must be a genius than Einstein, huh??) to just give a name to someone who gives (gives what??? , We are clueless!! And so are you), simple term, DEYU! How cool is that?

The story doesn’t end here though. The actual fun is that someone like Sambhavna Seth interpreted the meaning of this word in a totally different way. She feels DEYU is someone who offers sex for getting work or getting work done. Now, isn’t it mind-bogglingly super creative? In fact, it is so convenient to portray a meaning of the word which is favourable for her.

Talking about Sambhavna, she is the same girl who had boasted in the show that she studied in a Hindi medium school and all those Hindi cuss words are pretty normal language for her and are not at all shocking. She claims to have been brought up amidst such colourful lingo and is proud of it. In that case, how does a word, which is not even present in people’s dictionary, DEYU, becomes so offending for her? And what about the whole action of explaining the meaning of it to Karishma Tanna? If that wasn’t vulgar and insulting and offending, what else could be for a girl who is scared that this word can break her impending marriage? This is called seeking attention and creating issues when there are none to gain attention and stay in the show. For that, full marks to Sambhavna!

Coming to Dimpy, her dumbness quotient is seen to be believed! If you are weak in a language, learn the basics and then innovate rather than using half-knowledge to gamble with the aesthetics of a language and make it sound funny. Big fail on Dimpy’s part!

In short, we don’t know who is giving or who is taking or who is giving what and who is taking what!

All we know is that, Dene whale jab bhi data, data copied fad ke! ‘wink wink’

Hope whoever is giving here is giving in abundance and keeps giving like that so that whoever is receiving gets it in good quantity!
