Requirement In Hinduism, Mahabharata is one of the epics that focuses on knowledge and wisdom. This epic teaches different skills of survival as well as prosperity. On contrary, it also signifies on number 18, which is related to the flourishing of different phases escalates to wisdom and prosperity.

Facts that make number 18 auspicious

• Mahabharata and Bhagavad Gita is often linked to each other as Bhagavad Gita has 18 chapters. The 18-chapter verses are the statements of wisdom that have given victory to Arjuna.
• The epic defines the different requirements enough of Lord Krishna and also described his concept regarding the ability of man. He had pointed out about 18 traits that it is necessary for a man to be perfect for the ideal man.
• The great Epic War in Mahabharat lasted for 18 days.
• The creation of Mahabharat is entirely found rotating around the number 18. As there are 18 sections of the epic.
• There is a total of 18 Puranas picked from the traditional verses.
• In the great war of Kurukshetra, the total survivors were 18 Warriors.

• Mentioning about the ruling Pandavas, there was a time total of 36 years. Therefore it is twice as 18.
• While number 18 is described as auspicious, it is also found that the Akshauhini army had a chariot and elephant force of 21870. The horse force was 65610 and the number of soldiers fought was 109350 in number. It is the sum-up of 18.
• Once again after looking into doubling and summing up, it is seen that in the war of Kurukshetra Bhisma survived for 9 days.
• The Mathura and Yadavas were attacked for mama 18 times
• Kansa the evil man was killed by Krishna at age of very 18.

Number 18 seems to be a need in the epic as well as in Geeta Bhagavad. After defining knowingly and unintentionally the number itself flourished.

Wealth has always been considered as the reason for the downfall of humanity. Almost all over the earth when spreading the words about following any religion Hinduism is different. Hinduism is the only religion that does not consider earning money and growing wealth as sin. Rather it has festivity, chants, and hymns to satisfy the Goddess of Wealth. 

People who pray for the blessings of knowledge, prosperity, and money at the same time. There is nothing bad, seen in the religion to show the requirement of money. 

Why does Hinduism not consider wealth as sin? 

In Hinduism, people have never pushed away from the materialistic world. It always inspires people to have all kinds of goodness that one faces through the different phases of life. But, at the same time it always focuses on the practices of caring, detachment, and intelligence. Also to enjoy the materialistic benefits, it is essential to know the facts of life. He should be aware of all the best and worst conditions of life. 

Religion provides complete guidance to treat and use in the proper way. So, that people are conscious. Hinduism beliefs in earning wealth with the use of ethics. Anything earned in the wrong way will not stay with you for long. Above it, the earnings do not do any good to anyone rather it may harm in one way or another. 

Dharma or duty that the Epics of Hindus describes always focuses on the path of dedication and the right way of survival. Whatever, a person should be in the proper, consistent, and right way. This will always enable a person to earn but falsify the fact that wealth is evil. 

Worshipping Goddess of Wealth

Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth that each house of the Hindu prays to provide them wealth and prosperity. She is present in every house, who is offered in various ways by different parts of the people of India. Some are found to worship the idol made of stone or clay while few worship the elements of Goddess. 

Offering her and chanting the hymns always reminds me of the worst and part of possessing wealth. It always keeps warning about maintaining the ethical way to live a happy life and enjoy wealth. 

A person who deals with the wealth cautiously will always be able to enjoy it or else they may fail to retain it in the future. Hinduism always believes that earning is necessary but depending on the action a person can progress day by day. Humans need a materialistic life to be happy, it is difficult to give it up when one relishes it. So the “Artha” or wealth can make a person and his family happy with the material world. 

Assuming, wealth as sin when it starts harming human nature and other’s life. To have a balanced and normal life a person has to earn wealth that can give a new level. Making them responsible, dedicated and happy, with satisfaction to take birth as a human being

Hinduism is the third largest religion in the world, and from it, Buddhism and Jainism are inspired. But there is no specific founder of the religion similar to Buddhism or Jainism. The ancient holy books that mention the specific religion, Rigvedas, or the Gita the sacred and holy books mention the importance. So, it was already understood that the founders of the latter have inspired by Hinduism. India has the greatest widespread of diversified religious beliefs from Sikh, Christianity, Muslims, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.

Both Buddhism as inspiring from Hinduism has different conceptions on the meaning and beliefs on the statement of “Dharma”. According to Buddhism, the Dharma states the universal law in which the followers of the religion are believed to go to the refuge. It guides the refuge to gain enlightenment. Not offering prayers to idols and gods, but to live life to the best creating a better life for his people and himself.

Dharma:

But dharma has a separate focus on religious approaches, as people have to pray to the idol made of stone or statues. Offering prayers and other necessities grow knowledge by reading religious books or chant mantras to understand the differences in Dharma and win the goal to live a strong as well as a successful life. Defeating the evils and grooming intelligence to stay away from evils are explained in the mantras and other books related to Hinduism. Dharma is mostly related to worldly approaches instead of universal law.

Hindu Gods are more than 100 in numbers and each community of different languages and beliefs worship idols or deities. Both God and Goddesses are worshipped, but Buddhism does not have any such religious beliefs to worship idols or deities. Their belief is opposite to Hinduism as according to the religion of Gautama Buddha nothing is permanent. So, they worship nature and the universe and do not believe in worshipping deities.

Karma:

Karma or destiny is mentioned in holy books of Hinduism and Buddhism but meanings for both are different. Both religions have the practice of Karma, but their way to perform and fulfill the requirement is entirely dissimilar. Karma is the work or activity that is carried out by the followers who want to find out their achievements. Enlightenment is the cause of whatever the Buddhists do to complete to understand Dhamma.

But from Hinduism religion, the meaning of Karma is highly complicated, not at all the simplicity of Karma is described in any of the Vedic and holy books. Bhagavad Gita describes the verses of Lord Krishna. The learnings from the verses which guide about the success, pride, and failures are the basic that still inspires human or worldly behaviors.

The core beliefs of religion Buddhism and Hinduism are different, but they believe in the incarnation despite disagreeing with deities by the Buddhists. Hindus have described the incarnations and changes with the depictions of idols and statues. Though both have “Karma” but following their pathways are not alike.
