Bangs or fringes are a great style statement. They not only knock a couple of years off your age, but also make you the highlight of any event. But wearing them the same way can make you look boring and meh. That’s exactly why you should read this and find out interesting and exciting ways to wear your fringes. Read on:

Before you begin styling your fringes, make sure they are damp so that it’s easier to style them. Once they start drying out, they will take a different shape altogether. So it’s best to work on them when they are damp.

#1. Flat iron look
It’s one of the easiest and most striking looks. The matte, flat iron look works best on every face type, including diamond. Simply flat iron your bangs outwards and spray a bit of dry shampoo and work a tiny amount of matte on them. This works best even when your hair is slightly wavy at the bottom as the fringes will be the highlight and not the rest of the hair. Always go for extra volume dry shampoo so that your bangs stay shiny through the day. If they dry out soon, they could become limp and unattractive.

#2.  Side-swept bangs
Partition your fringes by keeping the larger chunk on your preferred profile. Wrap your bangs around a warm curler and curl them away from the usual side they fall on. That is, if they fall on your right, curl them towards the left. This will not only create an illusion of volume, but also give your face a new definition. Spray on dry shampoo and extra strong hair spray to keep them in place. You can also use faux feather pins to hold a couple of strands. This will work fine for a lazy Sunday brunch or a fancy dinner date. If you want a more dramatic look, first flat iron your hair and then partition them and use a curler to get an uber chic side-swept bangs.

#3. Wispy bangs

Get this edgy, yet feminine look by pointing your dryer straight on your bangs. Move the dryer from side to side and use your fingers to tug at your hair to create a wispy texture. The wispy bangs are ideal with rugged cargoes, shorts, sexy summer dresses and even LBDs. You can use a bit of pomade to the ends to make them stay wispy the whole day. Don’t wait for the hair to dry out completely as that can ruin the texture of your bangs. Fringes are extremely delicate and they stick together so use a wide-toothed comb to separate them out.

#4. Partitioned bangs
This is a classic style that can be used for everyday use. Getting this look is very easy as you all need to do is partition your hair exactly from the middle and spray on extra strong hair gel to make them stay in place. Once your partition your bangs, there will be enough gap between the two sections, which will give your face a new definition. For fuller bangs, use a volumnizing spray and a dab of styling cream. And if you want a matt finish, flat-iron your bangs! You could wear this look anywhere and anytime. And the best part is, it goes with every outfit.

#5.  Chic side bangs
Ideal for cocktail parties and elegant dos, this style also requires the minimum of efforts. It works the best on unwashed hair as it needs to stay in place. Brush a section of your fringes neatly and pull them towards your more flattering profile. Use hair serum and gel to stick your bangs flat on your forehead. Now spray on extra strong hair spray to further hold them in place. Make sure that your bangs fall right over the eyebrow and partially hide your forehead and temple of the side they are falling on. This will look great with sarees and chic gowns too!
