Is Vettel really taking away the gloss from F1?

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton on Sunday claimed that Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel’s F1 dominance is becoming as much of a television turnoff for some fans as Michael Schumacher’s relentless success was a decade ago. We asked some of the F1 fans on what they thought about Vettel’s dominance in the current Grand Prix season:

Alistair Vaz
Yes absolutely…. his (Vettel) sheer pace is a no contest. But I agree with Hamilton, it’s no longer a race that you see. People want action and if you have a race leader that is 20 odd secs ahead of number 2 then its a no-contest.

Ayush Mishra
No. Vettel is just winning. Hamilton doesn’t like that and he’s imagining some kind of domination. What should Vettel do? Lose deliberately? Winning the F1 isn’t just about how good your car is. Your head needs to be in the right place too. I have never met Sebastian Vettel, but I think him being a down to earth person might have something to do with his slew of wins.

Dhairya Ingle
No, I would say at the end of the day Vettel has earned the success that he is getting. Lewis Hamilton is like a fox who says the grapes are sour.

Hussain Zaidi
Totally agree with Lewis there! With each championship the gap only widens. Not a Hamilton fan but would love to see more of Hamilton and Fernando Alonso up there fighting for the honours along with Vettel and others! But I totally disagree with the booing part. Personally, I dont like any sportsman being booed! Sometimes things dont work out, its simple as that!

Well, on a fair note, Sebastain Vettel has earned his victories and deserves the numero uno spot.
