Yes you were hired for your smart work and great ideas and have done a great job until now. But did you ever give a thought to the motivating factors that led to your success at work?

What makes you think good about your work apart from your interest and dedication, which keeps fluctuating with your mood? Work culture or maybe your colleagues that are as much a part of that culture as you. There’s a time when you feel you’re just dragging things along and then there’s that time when you feel you’ve never loved any of your jobs as much. And you can’t really deny the fact that your work friends are one of the main reasons behind it. We tell you about few such work BFFs (Best Friend Forever) without whom you it wasn’t possible for you to grow so much professionally. Read on!

1. The trainee colleague
There are co-workers who join the company after or before you joined and then there are co-workers who started off their career with this company, just like you. Because you guys have been together since the starting, nobody can understand what you feel like your trainee colleague can. You do everything together, even bitching about your manager in front of other colleagues.

2. The tech person
Be it medicine, media, architecture or any other field, there’s always this person who has a wide knowledge about how stuff works and helps you out if you get stuck anywhere, techwise. You already know why did I not mention engineering. But obvious, is it not?

3. The one who can’t stop gossiping
If you think gossip is not your cup of tea, on a general note, then maybe it is not. However, if you have the same thinking at your workplace as well, maybe you should drop it for your own good. The gossip person has all news about each and every colleague from your department and other departments as well. And you can totally rely on her/him to bring you news about who’s being promoted, who had an argument with the boss and who’s getting married the next month. Trust me, you’re going to enjoy every single bit of the session.

4. The one your boss relies on
Last but not the least; you have to have this friend at work whom the boss totally depends on. Be it the assistant, the one who has been there from the very beginning or the one your boss doesn’t think twice before talking to. He/she has an idea about everything that is going around, things that are on the chart and going to be announced soon. Do you need any more reason to befriend such a person at work?

You never know when you might feel the need for a successful and flourishing career. There are times when only your work friends can help you out of a situation. Can’t agree more, can you?
