Hold your breath before you read this. India’s cheapest smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity is here.

Yes! Lenovo has come up with A6000, a smartphone that will not dig holes in your pockets yet will provide you with all the latest smartphone features.

With a 5 inch HD IPS display, that is, a 1280 X 720 pixels resolution, latest Android software, Android 4.4 (Kitkat), a power-packed 1.2 GHz quad-core snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 306 GPU  along with a user-friendly Vibe 2.0 interface.

If you think this is it, read on to find out more about this high-end phone.

The phone supports a dual SIM connection and dual speakers with Dolby Digital support, 1GB RAM, 8 GB of internal memory along with the facility to expand memory as well as a 2300mAh battery that will offer 13 hours of talk time and 264 hours of standby time if you are using its 3G networks.

The phone is also high on its camera facility with a 8 megapixel rear snapper with LED flash, 2 MP front-facing camera, weighing only 128 grams. It is easy to carry and pocket-friendly. (Literally!) It would fit in your pocket easily being 8.2 mm thick. You will not have any connectivity issues too as the phone offers good Wi-Fi connection, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS navigation facility.

Showcased earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show with India being the first market for its release, the smartphone is a bid against recently launched Micromax Yu Yureka and Xiaomi Redmi 1S and Redmi Note 4G.

The online markets especially shopping sites the likes of Flipkart and Amazon are becoming the first promotional markets for these devices, where Yu Yureka and Xiaomi phones, both were exclusively sold online through flash sales. Lenovo is also following the current trend as Lenovo A6000 is currently up for sale on Flipkart, for which, the registrations have already begun since yesterday and the first sale would eventually take place 28th  January onwards (only for registered customers).

Not only is Lenovo A6000 sleeker than Xiaomi Redmi (9.5 mm) and lightweight, unlike Xiaomi Redmi’s 199 grams.

You might find Lenovo pretty stable and sturdy to hold in hand as even the back panel is of a matte finish. Now forget about filthy-looking fingerprint stains and the phone slipping out of your hands! Though a little smaller than the Micromax and Xiaomi phones (5.5 inch screens), the phone screen is pretty visible at different angles, even when the brightness mode is at its maximum. It delivers vivid colours and easy viewing at all angles.

Lenovo A6000 would also provide you with exceptional sound quality as it is equipped with dual Dolby Digital Plus surround speakers visible on its rear panel.

The company is soon to update its phones to Android 5.0 (Lollipop). Meanwhile, you can buy Lenovo A6000 for Rs. 6999 and test for yourself if the flash sales procedure even for Lenovo is as irksome as had happened for its competitors, Xiaomi and Micromax. Do tell us about your hands-on-experience with the phone if you plan to buy one!
