The Right Choice: 5 Administrative Qualities Which Say Anandiben Patel Will Excel As Gujarat CM

Her exemplary service record and the clean image that she bears leaves no doubt about her future performance.

Anandiben Patel has taken oath as Gujarat Chief Minister after Narendra Modi resigned from the post in order to form government at the centre. With this, she has become the first woman chief minister of Gujarat and fourth from the BJP to reach to this post.

Anandiben was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Kamla Beniwal at a function in Gandhinagar. It is being said that the 73 year old and a former school teacher is quite stern and bears no-nonsense from anybody.

Now that the important responsibility of running Gujarat is on her and she has a very high standard (set by Modi ofcourse) to meet, here are five reasons which tell us that she will excel as a CM:

  1. Anandiben has the longest ministerial experience, precisely of 17 years. And she has achieved this feat in terms of continuance too. She was a minister in Keshubhai Patel’s government and she was a minister in three terms of Narendra Modi’s government too.
  2. She has an experience of heading 10 different ministries at different times.
  3. Under Anandiben, education sector thrived in Gujarat. It is acknowledged that in Keshubhai Patel’s government, where Anandiben was education minister, 70 to 80 percent of the achievement of the government was related to education sector due to her hardwork.
  4. Anandiben simplified state’s revenue procedures as revenue minister. As an infrastructure and road development minister, she has proved her mettle through her hardwork. Gujarat is known to be the best in the country in terms of infrastructure development and everyone praises the good roads of Gujarat.
  5. She also headed the Narmada Project committee in 2008 where her strategic and decision making skills were seen. She had a major role to play during Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam as 37 out of 38 canals were built from what were 15 canals in 2008 before she took over.

As a teacher too, Anandiben won President’s award as the best teacher. She has also won many awards in athletics and a gallantry award to save school girls from drowning is also shines in her armour.

Her exemplary service record and the clean image that she bears leaves no doubt about her future performance.
