Sedentary lifestyle leads to neck, back pain

A sedentary lifestyle with irregular physical activity is leading to increase in back and neck related pain among young people.

A sedentary lifestyle with irregular physical activity is leading to increase in back and neck related pain among young people.

A consumer research, conducted on behalf of the British Chiropractic Association (BCA), reveals that 65 percent of people in the age bracket of 16 to 34, have experienced neck or back pain and almost a third have lived with the pain for up to a month, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Many chiropractors are noticing a rise in the number of younger people presenting with neck and back problems.

“We are seeing more and more people under the age of 35 with back and neck pain because of the increasingly sedentary lives they lead. It’s really important that young people understand the importance of keeping active and seek help from an expert if they are in pain,” said BCA chiropractor Tim Hutchful.
