Love handles are deposits of fat on the front, back and sides of your stomach – a result of the lack of exercise, eating excessive sugary foods or an unhealthy lifestyle. We tell you how to shoo them away.
Lie down on the ground and fold your left leg, making the back of your foot meet your hip. Stay in this position for four minutes. Repeat the same movement with your right leg and let your left leg be straight and relaxed. Now, do the movement with both your legs together so that it creates a hen pose. Be in the position for 15 minutes. The stretch of the legs and thighs will put pressure on your stomach and help you lose the excess fat if done regularly. The added advantage of this exercise is that it also helps you tone your thighs and make them slim.
Line up your left forearm beneath your armpit and stack your feet on top of one another. Create a T shape with your body. This stretches the abdominal muscles of your body making them lose the excess fat deposited in the area.
Touch the ground with your elbows in a side plank position. Drop your hips to touch the ground as you inhale and exhale while bringing them back up. Do this 10 to 15 times per side to lose abdominal fat.
Slightly bend your knees into a squat position with your legs shoulder-width apart. Bring your weights in front of you with your arms forward and bring them back slowly using kettle ball or weights. This will help you lose belly fat.
Stability Ball Plank
Place your elbows and forearms on a stability ball. Regain your balance and try to hold a plank position for two to five minutes. This puts pressure on the back of your stomach enabling melting of excess fat.
