Barcelona’s 4-1 win at home over Real Sociedad marked their 100 percent start to the season thanks to an excellent display with goals from Neymar, Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and defender Marc Bartra.
The highly rated Brazilian forward Neymar finally opened his goal account for the Catalan squad for which he had signed the deal in the summer for 57 Euros. Better finishing would have seen Barca win by a greater margin but with Martino’s side dominating possession from start to finish, any further debate whether they have changed their style of play seems rather pointless.
Argentine Messi, who scored his seventh goal of the season, was rather disappointed with reports suggesting that the 26-year old was ‘unhappy’ after being substituted by manager Martino. Messi reacted angrily to these rumours stating,”I didn’t mean to make any gesture when I came off. I will not accept that certain media tell lies.”
With many more games in the pipeline for the La Liga champions, Leo needs to put aside his anger and focus on putting the ball behind the net.
