Speaking to a magazine, Bale spoke highly of Portuguese superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo. He said, “Cristiano’s been great since I’ve been here and helped me a lo.I think the partnership we’re creating on the pitch is very positive. We’re looking forward to that getting better and better in the future. I’m here to win the league. And the Champions League. And the Copa del Rey! For us, every tournament we enter is something we should be winning. Hopefully at the end of the season we’ll be there with a lot of those trophies.”
Before settling in, Bale was highly criticised and was under the scanner since the mega move from Tottenham Hotspurs. It was Ronaldo that supported the Welsh winger and asked the people to give him the latter some time.
Gareth Bale has backed his team-mate to win the Ballon d’Or over the likes of Lionel Messi and Frank Ribery. Says Bale, ”Ronaldo is the best player in the world at the moment,’ he added. ‘I think he’s on another level to everyone else. He’s show in every single game what he’s capable of and he just delivers every week. He’s the best and deserves the Ballon d’Or.”
Even though Real Madrid are six points behind league leaders, Barcelona, with time; Bale and Ronaldo can bring back the glory days at Madrid, Real Madrid!
