#ManchesterUnited: These Players Should Get The Boot From Moyes

Another disastrous performance from the Red Devils. Manchester United was beaten comprehensively by Greek league leaders, Olympiakos in the Round of 16, first leg of the UEFA Champions League. Furthermore, it heaped more misery on manager David Moyes as the turbulent season takes yet another downfall. His players were a bane and even though having the likes of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie did boost the morale, the defeat could prove a shot in the arm for Moyes and his ‘merry men’. So which of these players deserve the axe? We list them down:

Tom Cleverley
Yet another fathoming display but the English midfielder who looks out of sorts everytime he takes the field. Cleverly stated he was made a ‘scapegoat’ for the defeats handed out to United this season. Cleverly is doing very little to drive the United’s midifield and with the likes of Toni Kroos and Iker Gundogan linked in the summer, time’s up for Tom to look for greener pastures.

Rio Ferdinand
By criticising the manager early in the season, Rio Ferdinand has put himself on the firing line. The former England defender seems to have his best days behind him and it doesn’t seem, Moyes will renew his contract in the summer.

Nani
Arrived with great expectations in 2007 and was touted to be the ‘best thing’ alongside countryman Cristiano Ronaldo. But since then, the two have had different careers. Ronaldo is the Ballon d’Or winner and Nani is struggling for form at United (not to mention – injuries). Host of clubs have been linked with the Portuguese and with transfer summer beckoning, Moyes needs to get rid of Nani once and for all.

Shinji Kagawa
The Japanese playmaker might be rueing his luck since his arrival from former German champions, Borussia Dortmund. Shinji Kagawa hardly gets game time under Moyes and after the arrival of former Chelsea star, Juan Mata, Kagawa might need to look elsewhere for more playing time.

Anderson
During the January transfer window, Brazilian midfielder Anderson said that ‘many’ Manchester United players wanted to leave. Anderson might consider himself amongst those ‘many’ and is one of those players who deserve the boot out of the Old Trafford club.

Ashley Young
Another ‘pest’ in the Manchester United line-up that could end up getting the axe. Ashley Young’s ‘dives’ are more familiar than his performance on the pitch and he has done very little to impress the new Scot manager.

The above mentioned players might just feel that their United career is all but over. David Moyes has a ‘big’ summer transfer window ahead of him and if he doesn’t get that one right, again, expect him to get the boot, maybe!
