Roast Garlic, Mint and Yogurt

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Makes: One bowl

7 to 8 garlic cloves
1 strand of mint leaves, finely chopped
250 g curd
A pinch of pepper
Salt to taste

  1. Roast garlic on a tawa and then finely crush it.
  2. Take out curd in a bowl and add 25ml water and mix well. Add garlic, mint leaves, pepper and salt. Enjoy with sandwiches and chips.

Onion, tomato and garlic

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cooking time:
5 minutes
Makes:
One bowl

1 onion, finely chopped
1 tomato, coarsely chopped
3 to 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 tsp vinegar
A pinch of sugar
1 tsp cooking oil
Red chilli powder to taste
Salt to taste

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add garlic. When it turns slightly golden, add onion.
  2. When onion turns translucent, throw in tomato and stir till it becomes soft.
  3. Add vinegar, red chilli powder sugar and salt. Serve with starters or have as an accompaniment to your main course.

Basil and Tomato

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Makes: One bowl

2 big tomatoes, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 large handful basil leaves, broken into pieces
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
A pinch of sugar
A pinch of black pepper
Salt to taste
1 tsp cooking oil

  1. Heat oil in a pan and cook garlic until softened. Stir in tomatoes, basil leaves and vinegar.
  2. Season with pepper, salt and sugar. Serve spooned over pasta or with chips and fries.
