The current Indian cricket side is full of talent and persona. Since conquering the world in 2011, MS Dhoni and his merry men have topped the charts in every cricket format. Be it T20, Test cricket or 50-over game, Indian team has seen it and done it all. But (a BIG) what if these Indian superstars were never cricketers at all! Yes, you heard it right. Just imagine if MS Dhoni was never the ‘captain cool’ one would think him to be but rather employed somewhere else. Well, here are some our current Indian lot who we thought could have been better employed elsewhere if not for being a cricketer:
MS Dhoni – Dhobi
Known to clobber the ball out of the park, the master of ‘Helicopter shot’, MS Dhoni would have been a marksman in the art of washing clothes as well. What do you think?
Virat Kohli – Fashion model
Virat is a ‘cool dude’ on and off the field. So if not for those gloves and a helmet, this Delhi dasher would have been India’s great top model, nai?
Suresh Raina – Singer at an orchestra
Suresh Raina is also known for his singing abilities and if not for cricket, we think the soutpaw could have made a great career in singing at the weddings or birthday parties. Rock On! anybody.
Ravichandran Ashwin – Coconut seller
He has been India’s best spinner on home turf but what if he had held a coconut instead of a cricket ball?
Rohit Sharma – BEST Bus conductor
Rohit Sharma is a thorough Mumbaikar and if not spending time on fields at Shivaji Park, we think he could have made a career as a BEST bus conductor! Ticket ticket!
Ravindra Jadeja – Farsan/Dhokla seller
Had ‘Jaddu’ not been a cricketer, the former would have been a great ‘farsan/dhokla’ vendor back home! (PS – shop name: SIR Jaddu Farsanwaale)
Shikhar Dhawan – Barber
Famously known for his moustache, Shikhar Dhawan could have easily made a good barber if not an international cricketer.
Amit Mishra – Bank manager
Amit Mishra is a versatile bowler and is known to possess the art of bowling a ‘googly’. We wonder if he had used the same skills pre-hand in the banking facilities too!
Bhuvneshwar Kumar – Milkman
‘Bhuvi’ has been India’s prime bowler off-late but what if he had a milk-selling business? Just a guess…
Mohammad Shami- Fish vendor
Bengalis, what do you make of this choice of profession?
